Dear Sir / Madam,



I have been a customer of Godrej since the past 24 years …

The first refrigerator that my parents purchased was of godrej and only after looking at the

Product we purchased a new refrigerator of godrej again …



But since Sept 07 the refrigerator has been faced with some issues …



Even after repeated complaints ( Ref number 640135 and 642099) there has been no progress



From the customer service end it was Mr Rakesh tat I got in touch with

And one of your Vashi Area engineer Mr Ram ( cell number [protected]) were the people I got in touch …



The Worst disappointment was from Mr Ram.. that after repeated calls to him as well he has simply turned me down..



Its been since sept 07 (3 months so far) and I am thoroughly disappointed from the customer service that is termed as SMART CARE



I hope that this mail brings to light the issues that I am facing

I sincerely don’t intent to take any steps such that your competitors will be benefited by my disappointed

we bought the godrej eon refrigeraotor after repeated calls from their customer care(the name is a joke), they exchanged our old godrej ref with a eon.Th problems started from day one

The service man who came to install the fridge insisted that we buy a stand, where as the manual clearly says don't place the fridge on anything except the floor.. He insisted and sold us a stand which made the fridge shake a lot and we were later told by another godrej personnle that the stand is not required and wa ssold to meet targets. After 3 long months, phone calls, fights they accepted that their mechanic was at fault and refunded our money.

within 4 months the handle broke, (this is their premium range mind you).It took them 2 months to find a replacement which broke within 10 days. this time they replaced in a quick 15 days.At this time we also started getting calls asking us if they are happy with our service and if they would like to renew their service contract.

10 days ago the super premium ref stopped working, The first visit was to inform us that the gas has leaked, the great techie repaired it but the ref was still not cooling. a hundred calls later Godrej promised to send a senior technician, the same guy came 2 days later (he had got magically got promoted and become a senior technician in 2 days). He now declared that the ref is not cooling cause the compressor has crashed. it s been 3 days and we are still waiting to hear from the great company to get the compressor fixed.

If this is their service in big cities i wonder what is it like to suffer a godrej service experience in smaller towns.

do anything but don't buy a godrej product. they have no service and adi godrej is too old to do anything now.
How to replace thermostat
SIR I MADE COMPLAIN TO GODREJ VIDE NBR 325202 FOR MY FREEZER WHERE COOLING IS NOT PROPER. THEIR ENGINEER CAME SAYS GAS IS NOT PROPER WE HAVE TO PAY RS 350 AND REQUIRES ELECTRICAL POWER SAVER COSTING RS. 650/- WE PAID AND FOUND FREEZE STILL NOT WORKING PROPERLY WE TRIED CALLING THEIR NUMBER BUT OTHER END ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE LINE. WE ASKED FOR PROPER BILL AND THEY SAYS STATIONERY OUT OF STOCK. GAVE US A HAND RECEIPT FOR RS. 1000/- AS CHALLAN PLS DO SOMETHING TO GET OUR FREEZE COMPLAIN HEARED BY GODREJ.
I have purchased a Godrej Refrigerator Model V2 GDP-195 on 3.10.2008 from your dealer "Video Plaza", Muchipara, Durgapur - 713212. There was a gift offer of 3 pcs Non-stick cookware on that purchase. But your Dealer unable to give me the aforesaid gift at that time. I have requested your dealer in several times to give me that gift. After one month they have given a gift pack which was not packed properly and partly open. Whenever I opened the pack I found that instead of three pcs of cookware, there was only one piece. I refused the gift instantly. Till now the dealer saying that they could not do anything in this regard because the problem is from Godrej's end. Please verify and reply as soon as possible.

I think this type of problem will hamper the Godrej's goodwill and loss of business in long run.

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT, EVER EVER BUY A GODREJ REFRIGERATOR.
IT NEEDS A GAS REFILL EVERY SIX MONTHS AFTER THE INITIAL WARRANTY OF 1 YEAR.
AFTER EVERY REFILL THE EFFICIENCY (COOLING) FALLS BY 20%.
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AMC YOU WLL LOSE ONE MONTH SALARY FOR EVERY REFILL.
EVEN TO REFILL THE GODREJ TECHNICIAN WANTS GAS CYLINDER AND EVERY THING ELSE (LIKE COFFEE ETC) READY. HE EVEN WANTS A PHOTOCOPY OF THE WARRANTY CERTIFICATE. (DOES GODREJ MANAGERS HAVE A PHOTOCOPY M/C AT THEIR HOMES???).

SO DO THE MATHS . THE FRIDGE IS GONE IN 5-6 YEARS.

I had registered a complaint regarding my Godrej ion Refrigerator on 12 Jun 2010 vide Ref No 928570 at Toll free .The same was attended by Service centre executives at Nashik . But within one hour of service, the same problem continued. I had immediately called up the Customer care centre at Nashik , and despite repeated reminders everyday ,till date (* days) no one has turned up . This is utter carelessness and unprofessional approach on the part of such a reputed concern. I really feel that the service engineer should take moral responsibility for a problem that re-occurs within one hour.Kindly take some steps to curtail such lackadaisical attitude towards a customer n get professional.

In June 2007 I purchased one double-door pentacool Godrej Refrigerator from CAPITOL ELECTRONICS, Behala, Kolkata. The fridge is giving troble from the begining. Now I am having service contract too! In the mean-time its timer was changed twice. Both the doors were replaced. Some other smaller parts were also changed to keep the refrigerator running.
For the last few days, the refrigerator is generating quite high pitch sound and it causing sound pollution in the house. we can not sleep even for this sound.
As the refrigerator is giving trouble from the begining, I feel the organization should replace it.
Or, I have to forget my facination for purchasing Godrej products and need to switch over to other brands.
Your Regional Manager (Kolkata- South), Mr. Rohit Raj, do not have any sympathy towords the customers and always speaks rudly and never take any positive steps.
If Godrej do not take any immediate step, in that case we'll be forced to think some alternatives.

My name is Kumaran Surendranath.I bought a godrej refrigerator on 17th Sep 2010, in last 5 months service people had to visit 4 times regarding several complaints,once it was cooling problem,then iceing problem,last time my fridge was not getting on.The service people came they opened some boards and made it start again.I approached the seller,The Das Agencies,Palakkad,they told me there is no option for any kind of replacement.They can only get it repaired,so Iam wondering how long I should go on with this process,till I buy another brand and dump this godrej refrigerator?

I have registered a complaint with Godrej Customer Care on 14th feb 2012 about not cooling of my Refrigerator purchased in last December, My Complaint No is [protected], after a Month on March 12th 2012 Service men has visited and confirmed some problem and they promised to get back with in two days, till date no one has visited, and i have been calling the Karimnagar Authorized Service on [protected], he is not responding properly, he is postponing daily and lying that the people were started to you from last two days, At the same time i have launched a complaint on online customer care but no response from them.

Will this behavior makes you any Goodwill??

    My parents had bought Godrej Interio study table dated 30th June 2008 from Godrej Lifespace, Govind Marg, Rajapark, Jaipur. The support of the table has got damaged & the partition between various compartments in the table has got bent. After repeated complaint requests to their customer care no. [protected] they had registered my complaint (complaint id: 244050) promising that the technician would reach within 48 hours but it has been 10 days and there has been no response from the company whatsoever. Their customer cell is extremely incompetent, most of the executives don't know the procedures & keep you on hold for most of the time. I would recommend future furniture buyers to refrain from buying Godrej Interio Furniture as its after sale service is extremely horrible.

      Unreasonable charges on services, Post sale

      These Godrej bunch of crooks don't have sense how much to charge on what.. They charged me 1800 Rs for dismentalling my 2 Almirahs along with over head cabinet. They do send me an engineer who is charging 1000 Rs an hour. A man came with hammer and screw drivers and broke all rivets in 15 20 mins and bill was 1800 Rs. You are kidding me!!!.

      Whole reason to buy these costly almirahs was ease of dismentalling and moving...

      We are being continuously harassed by the un courteousness of the Kolkata customer service people. With a scratch developing on the product, which was installed by the company people we have been mislead and misrepresented and our cause have remain unheard only to be delayed to such an extent that the warranty period was over. They 'closed' the case without actually bothering to know what is the status of the work ( and that has happened today).

      They have been citing that there is a change of address , but that remains untenebale given the fact the installation was done by the company people. It is really unfortunate that these noncom pups are managing the office of a company called Godrej. We have purchased another slimline , I don't know what will happen to that.

          Dear Sir,
          I am one of the loyal consumer of Godrej Appliances like many of yours. I just want to complain for Non fulfillment of AMC Contract by Godrej Appliances.

          I have entered into Service Contract with Godrej Appliances - Service division for my Air Conditioner - for the period of 4 years i.e from 07.05.2010 to 06.05.2014 for the total amount of Rs. 4800/- . The contract is of the nature of Comprehensive protection Plan for Functional parts of Godrej Appliance.

          Despite registered a complaint no.[protected] dt.07.04.2012 for servicing of an Air Conditioner , no service person has came to my home till 18th April,2012. ONly toll free no. is given on the contract paper so there is absolutely no choice for a customer but to go via route of the same. The call centre person always tells you that service executive will reach tomorrow for service of your product.

          Despite having registered complaint on 7th April,2012 & subsequently 5 times of reminders still we are not getting any service.

          suggest the way in which i can get my Contract money back for the remaining no. of services left in the contract period.? Is it legally possible to sue the company for non fulfillment of AMC Contract.?

            This is Virginia Lawrence, I wish to inform that I had placed an order for 1 kitchen counter & 1tall unit with a dealer of Godrej Interior with M/s Kumar Enterprises on 9th October 2011 , amounting to 52304 /- address : E-42 Kailash Industrial complex, New Hiranandani - Lonk road, Vikhroli (west) Mumbai 400 079. Tel no 2510062.cell no [protected] & [protected] persons concerned are Ms Minal Sohani & Mr Kapoor, To inform is that till date they have not delivered the tall unit. They are only giving excuses that Monday will deliver than Friday and so on. The present situation is that they are now disconnecting the call and not giving any response, so I am in a soup as to what can be done. I do not have time to go to their shop every time as i am a working woman , and my entire day is spent going to their shop.
            Kindly let me know as to what can i do? This is mental pressure that is mounting on me! And 80% of payment is already done by me.It is now six months are become on placing the order. The delivery was after 45 days.

                But now the machine is not working , I logged complain with Godrej customer care

                Technician visited my place & he said the motor parts are not available with the company

                Technician said it be resolved in a day or tooo but till now they have done nothing

                But they are not doing anything till todays date.

                  Godrej Mattress : (Warranty for 1 year)

                  Purchase Date : 25th December 2011 (Currently in warranty)

                  Shop : A-One Furnishing, Sumer Nagar,Shop No.3, Opp McDonalds, S.V.Road, Borivali (W), Mumbai 92.

                  Complain : The mattress is losing it's shape and it has formed lumps on different sides. The edges are not firm as they were initially and we are not happy as it gets really uncomfortable while sleeping.

                  We have contacted the Shop owner at A-one but he said a person from Godrej will come soon to check the issue. We haven't heard from anyone as of now. We have been facing this problem since 2 months now and the matters is just getting worse.

                    I had puchased Godrej Cupboard in March 2009 which was direct sale. I have received all the parts except inner lower door rod which locks the cupboard. The next day a person came to us to assemble the Cupboard where he found that Lower rod not received. I immediately informed to the showroom which was near Old CBS (Nashik). The lady told me that Sir, you Don't worry you will received in next 15 days. Even after 20 days I do not received. I called the lady on her cell and she told me Sir, now our showroom is closed. Please take this Mob. no. which is of Jail Road godown from where you can easily get it. I contacted that no. he also told me don't worry we have taken your request and sent to our Head Office Pune. You will get it in next 15 days. Again I had to wait for another 15 days. I then waited for next 15 days but still not received any answer. So, again I called the person two to three days continuously the he answered that I cannot do anything because I already sent your request to our Company. You can take one Mob. no. of our Senior person which is in Pune now.The Sales Manager was very good in making fool to anyone. He just said, Are you Arun Singh, I thought that this person will help me.But he did'nt. I called him 6 months continuously but all the time he was on business tour. 1st time he said in Goa,2nd Time said he is in Gujarat,3rd Time he is in Tamil Nadu. I got angry and asked if you cannot return please let me know so that at least I can save my mobile bill. I already invested 80-90 rupees in calling you. But his answer never says no sir. After that he started to say I ordered new for you because we had stopped to manufacture these type of cupboard you will get in next 15 days. Again I wait for 15 days. After 15 day he told me I received your part but it was not the correct one. You will have to wait another 15 day. Again after 15 days he called me that today you will receive your part in nashik. After 2 days I called the Nahsik godown and he said we do not know anything about this order whether they have received or not.

                    Again I called the Sales manager and again he started with the same thing that now he is in Goa, Gujarat............
                    Now, I stopped calling him. My cupboard is same. I cannot lock my cupboard. I request you all that purchase all the electronics things from Godrej because if Customer care cannot help we can pay money outside and repair it but Furniture cannot repair without customer care.

                      I want to draw your attention regarding the most irresponsible & unethical conduct done by Godrej local dealer i.e. Utiliy Engineers S.C.O 310, Sector 35 B Chandigarh(Phone[protected].I booked ac and refrigerator in Coolex Exhibition at Himachal Bhawan, Sector 28 Chandigarh where all the AC and Refigerator of all the companies were displayed. I was assured that Godrej is the oldest and reliable Indian brand with quality and service and we will provide you free assured gift i.e. induction stove and JMG and free stabilizer and free installation of window ac. I purchased the Refrigerator and window AC of your brand on 7th April 2012. Window ac is not installed yet as claimed by the dealer for free installation within 24 hours. Immediately it was intimated to your customer care on 8th April 2012 and 9th April 2012.No action had been taken yet, window ac is not installed yet(till 10.04.2012, 7.10PM).
                      Other unethical practice by your Godrej dealer Utiliy Engineers S.C.O 310, Sector 35 B Chandigarh(Phone[protected].is following
                      1. The mrp (price) written on carton of window ac model WAC GWC14G is scratched, it is not readable. Tampering done with the mrp written to fool the customer.
                      2. The free gift given with window ac i.e Maharaja JMG is also included in the bill no 75 dated 7.04.2012 of amount Rs. 888 + 12.50 vat.and for stabilizer Rs.1333 +12.5% VAT. I surprised to see the bill of free items. Are we dumb people.
                      3. The free gift given with refrigerator i.e Bajaj induction Stove is also included in the bill no 75 dated 7.04.2012 of amount Rs. 888 + 12.50 vat. I surprised to see the bill of free items. I am notifying about the loot of the Godrej Company dealer on the name of free gifts with the purchase.
                      4. The smartness of your dealer reflects that at the time of delivery of the product at home, his man taken the original bill and asked to take from the showroom on the next day.But I was lucky that I scanned the bill.

                      This is most unfortunate & not expected from the company like Godrej & it will certainly not justified the kind of after sales service provided by the company.


                      Hence, I seek your intervention in this regard to resolve the issue & request you to instruct local dealer to refund the extra money on the name of free gifts he had taken from us.Scanned bill is attached.

                        Dear Godrej Team,

                        We have purchased a new refrigerator of your company from Naveen Electronics Model Town -III, Delhi 110009 on 11th March'2012 viz. Model No GFE27TZ color shellwine red. On the second day; we have observed some noise from compressor and lodged a complaint in your customer care. On 14 March'2012 the engineer visited and repaired that thing and said that stablizer is compulsory for this model though it is written on the refrigerator that it is a stablizer free appliance.

                        On 19th March'2012 we observed that there is no more cooling in our referigerator and we again lodged a complaint in your customer care (Complaint No [protected]). On 21st Feb your engineer visited and said that the compressor is damaged and needs to be replaced. However we told the engineer that since the compressor was at fault from the first day itself, we want the referigerator to be replaced instead of compressor.

                        He gave us the contact number of his senior Mr. Sanjay who further gave us the contact number of Area Sales Manager Mr Nitin Bansal [protected]. We contact Mr Nitin on the same day itself 21st March'2012 and he gave us assurance that your referigerator will be replaced with in 4-5 working days. After waiting for a week; On 26th March'2012 your executive came and took the photocopy of the Bill and said that the referigerator will be replcaed tommorow.

                        We tried calling Mr Nitin bansal on 28th March'2012 several times but he didnt pick our call and after several calls he finally picked up our call and answered that he is in a meeting and he will call us after one hour and update us about the status of the referigerator. But there was no call from him till 29th March'2012 and finally we called him again, He answered that he was just about to call us about the status of the referigerator and said that it will take another 4-5 working days.

                        We feel cheated because as we had put our trust in such a '' GOOD BRAND NAME '' But our experience with godrej has broken our trust. If we do not get a reponse in the next two days we will be forced to approach the consuner court.

                            The air conditioner that we bought 10months ago is not working properly,the cooling effect has reduced and also there is a rattling sound.since the air conditioner is within guarantee period you are requested to depute the service engineer to examine it and rectify the fault in case the fault is repairable otherwise the defective air conditioner may please be replaced at your earliest in-order to stop further inconvenience to us.

                              We are having problem for the past 1 month in the machine. First of all they clear the complaint without user confirmation and every time you have to log a new complaint. Second their engineers are un trend and careless. for water drainage, the engineer first suggested to change the drain pipe which cost money, On second time complaint he has changed the gear box but no resolve. on third time complaint he visited and advised change of drum (again to cost money) we are following for the past 15 days but no one is coming. they call often and tell that the engineer is coming who in most of the cases never comes and if at all comes at such an odd time like 1 o clock and before 4 pm.

                                I am VR Prasad Babu Nerella, purchased Godrej eon front loading washing machine on August 31st 2011. From day 1, we have trouble that clothes are getting torn in the washing machine and lodged so many complaints with the service desk team. But no body did anything. Finally I had a big fight and then they agreed to replace the washing machine and they have done the same. Pathetically I am facing the same issue clothes are getting torn now even with the replaced one. So I demanded them for a refund and take their machine back. It is been 3 weeks and they are not responding properly on this. All the executives are not picking the calls and so I decided to lodge a complaint with consumer forum.                                   I am a loyal customer of Godrej. I purchased Godrej Eon refrigerator, DAC+ Washing Machine, A Microwave, AC-19G3 Model during the last 2 years. But this time the deal which I made was really embarassing -

                                  This is to inform you that I had placed an order for AC to Smart Care (Salesman - Anil Singh, code - 1720), on dt 5th Feb,12. I had given a cheque of full amount for Rs 19100/- for 3 star rated AC. I paid the amount through cheque No-542394 - HDFC Bank - 23-A, Nn Towers, Community Centre (Near Rani Bagh), Road No-44, Pitam Pura, N.Delhi-110034. The cheque was cleared from my account on dated 8th Feb'12.
                                  Then I got the call from Mr. N.Malik on dt 22nd Feb,12 from Okhla Office and informed us that the model which we booked is not available. So, he requested us to convert our deal into a 2 star rated AC, Model no - GWC 18GG2 - 1.5 T. He confirmed us that the difference amount of Rs 2000 will be refunded to me.
                                  Then he sent Mr. Anil Singh at our residence on 22nd Feb,12. He filled another order form No - 1483764 for the revised purchase and mentioned that delivery will be held on 24th Feb'12. He also took a written consent from me regarding the model change.
                                  We never received the delivery till 26th night. Then I received a call from Mobile No. - [protected] at 9:37 pm. He claimed himself as Mr. Pankaj, Branch ManagMer,Delhi.
                                  He told me that rates of the Air Conditioners have been revised and hence, Company is unable to deliver the product at the Old Price.
                                  I was shocked to hear this. I failed to understand that how a company like Godrej can break the contract. If the contract has been made with the company, then it is the duty of the company to honour the contract. I hope that I will receive the AC and the difference amount at the earliest.

                                    I had booked a range of modular kitchen from Godrej interio through the Godrej dealer at Vikhroli, Mumbai. The work was expected to be completed in the middle of November 2011. Inspite of repeated requests to the dealer and his making promises they do not turn up to complete the unfinished work.
                                    I am a senior citizen. As a result of the callous attitude of the dealer, I put to great hardship. I think, a reputed company like GODREJ must carry out an audit of the works booked and executed by their dealers/ agents. It appears that the agents/dealers are a rule to themselves and are exploiting people by using the name of Godrej.
                                    Can you help please.
