Golden Forests India Ltd — cannot encash cheque as it is old

Sir i have invested rs 1000/- on 1997 in this company. They gave me a cheque that time but now the cheque is too old to encash it.

What should i do now?
Do i need to go to company office??

M i alone?

Is there is any1 who got his money back?

Cant it be possible that we should approach canra bank (As my cheque belongs to it) and they can give us the amount or they can file a complaint against them regarding bouncing ofcheque.
