I bought a ford eco-sports (ecoboost tend +) petrol car in April 2016 from the Harpreet Ford, Gurugram. In 2019, after running of just 15km, it showed a 'Heat' indication and I immediately stopped the car. Thereafter, it was towed to the FORD Service center (Harpreet ford, Delhi) and they had informed me that there was a problem of in 'Engine-Oil and Coolant mixing'. By that time, my car had run only 20K KMs. The engine was replaced and I had to pay around Rs. 1 lakh for repairing of the car (After the so called discount given by the company).
2. Now, again on March 14th, 2023, only after travelling 2KMs in the morning, same problem has come suddenly while I was on vacation with my family in Rajasthan. I again had to tow it to the nearest Ford Service Centre (KS Ford Sikar). After diagnosing, the same issue was informed with an estimation of Rs. 4.75 lakhs. By this time my car has run for only 60K km in total (it has run only 40K KMs after replacement of the engine in 2019).
3. The above two incidence shows that it is a case of defective engine/service which caused mine and my family's life in danger as well as it has put the whole family in emotional and financial trauma.
4. During the above incidences, the company has extended its support because of the defective car they have sold.
5. I have requested to the company to extend their support fully this time because for me as a middle class family man, it is very hard to even pay 50% (i.e. approx 2.50 lakhs, while i have already paid Rs. 1.00 lakhs in 2019 for the similar issue) of the estimate.
