HCL Laptop Complaints & Reviews

Hi,

I have been using a HCL leaptop since a year now until recently i came across this problem.
suddenly one fine day, i saw a band of black horizontal lines at the right side of the screen. Initially, i ignored it but they seem to be increasing at a faster rate.
i have a dual boot (Fedora and WinXP) and i see the same problem in both the OS.
Could anyone please tell me what the problem is? kindly suggest solutions, if any.

Bought a HCL laptop in june, 2009. The dvd drive start giving me problem before 1 month. I have given it to the service centre at allahabad. but haven'"t got it yet even after 1 month. They are telling that they will give it in coming days.... MY COMPLAINT NO. IS 11A090005. Kindly payattension towards it.

I have HCL Laptop sno. C083A1224712 which keyboard was not working given to Gwalior HCL Touch in the name of Hemant Yadav vide service slip no.348787 dated 12/09/2009. Concerning person has told that keyboard new will come after 7 days and asked me to contact. I have contacted in reply they have told me that keyboard not yet come contact after 2-3 days. After 3 days again I have contacted and received reply that keyboard is arrived you can come after contact us. I have contact again they have told me to come to service center when engineer present. My self again connected then they have told to come after half hour. I went there in reply I received message that keyboard not yet arrived. In this way 40 days have passed no body is showing responsible

I chetan kumar STAY IN PUNE (ph-[protected])would like to intimate to you that on 24th july , 2009 i deposited my laptop to the HCL service centre and till date not got back. my laptop right side hinges was loose so i deposited it to get it done but after 1 months when i went to the service centre to collect it they presented my laptop with its hinges broken and say that it was broken at the time of deposit which is not correct as they them self checked it at the time of depositting and they mention it in my job card also that it is loose but now they dont agree and are blaming me for that and not ready to repair also and say that i have to pay two thousand rupees to get IT repaired . when i deposited my laptop it was in warranty . NOW PLEASE TAKE THIS CASE VERY SERIOUS AND HELP ME IN GETTING MY LAPTOP IN WORKING CONDITION AS SOON AS YOU CAN AS IT IS HAMPERRING MY STUDY.

Respected Sir,
Good Morning,

1. I would like to inform you that I have purchased a HCL Leaptop (Machine Sr. No.5094AX399710 and Product Code AXCP3830A) from Digitronics Infosolutions Pvt. Ltd. on 02.08.2009. Same day, I requested to the concerned person (Dealer) to install the Vista software in my Leaptop. But he could not install Vista successfully at that time. Further I would like to inform you that there was some problem in HCL Leaptop as a Blue Screen problem. Later on request he replaced the Leaptop. But he wasted lot of time on the day and kept in dark. And lastly, he installed the Windows XP on my leaptop. For which I had to sit around five hours at their service centre.
2. After this, I requested to the concerned dealer regarding USB Modem of Reliance Netconnect, which is free as per your scheme. But he denied for this clearly. This is not fair dealing as per law.
3. It is requested that please do the needful on priority basis. And give the strict instructions to the Dealers to behave well and provide the better facility to the customer for the welfare and goodwill of yourself HCL Company.
4. Further it is also requested that I may be provide the USB Modem of Reliance NetConnect and send me the CD of Vista Software at the earliest. Because I had requested to the Dealer number of times to install the Vista at my leaptop. But he always kept in dark. This is very bad for your Company. I had already sent the same request to you in your complaint box. But still no action has been taken from your side.
5. I hope your Company would take strict and quick action on my request. I shall be thankful to you for all this.

I have purchased a HCL Leaptop but on last year i.e. November 2008 and its hard disk was not didecting since August 15th 2009 and we submited it at HCL service center for to change its Hard disk on 20 august 2009 and they told us to give it backwith 5 days and after that always says taht come tomorrow or call next weekend and it one moth now but still they didn't give us back and now they don't receive the phone also either it is busy or they kept it busy i am very frusted this laptop is really very important to us but due careless to these people we are suffring we talked to the coustomer care also but no response I must say the service of the hcl is really very bad.

My above laptop (Sl.No.3064AX045068, Model HCL 5601- milk stone) was serviced at your Chennai Service Centre on 26 Nov 2007 for a minor problem. As per the advice of the then Manager ser vice centre, Mr. Subramaniyam, I agreed to put the laptop under annual maintenance contract for two years with effect from theat date and I had paid a sum of Rs.7000/- vide cheque No. 732213 dated 26/11/07 of ICICI Bank Ltd. The cheque was encashed by your esteemed account department. Subsequently, I also received a call from your Mumbai office that my AMC has been registred and I will get 02 years of free service from your any of the service centres in India.

Unfortunately, my daughter presently studying in Kochi took the laptop for servicing and she informed the service centre that the particular laptop is under service contract, but they refused her and said no particulars are available in your list/network.

Please advise me the next course of action! I am disturbed. Now I can only request you for refund of my amount with Interest since you neither registered my laptop for service contract nor I received any service from you for the last one and half years. Alternately, you may please register my machine for two years with effect from the actual date of registeration.

Shall I expect a speedy action from your part? The machine is required for my daughter for her project etc.

I purchased Hcl Laptop on 26th october 2008 with serial numer 9084AX089584 and model no:B 2419 (with one year warrenty). On 1st August 2009, i had given my laptop's adaptor for replacement to HCL service center as i was facing charging problem to the following address:

They had given delivery date on 22nd august 2009.I called them before visting to the sevice center to confirm whether adaptor is ready or not. They told ok you can come.After visting there, they started making some fake stories like your adpator was open before coming for replcement on 01 august 2008. Therefore we need to send the request for equiry and if everything is ok then replacement.Responsible persons told that they will give a call once they will recieve it. But till now they didn't call. Therefore, i started following up. But hardly they pick up the phone.Somehow , I spoke with dimple and aparna (responsible persons). On friday 11th september 2009, they told that you will get the adaptor on monday 14th september 2009. I didn't get any call from that side on monday 14th september. Therefore after trying since morning on 14th september , they picked up the call in the evening and told the adaptor has not come yet. They told that it will take time. I told them that i willl go to consumer court regarding this matter. They told that YOU DO WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO.
This is the type of service HCL is providing us. Its really disgusting for the Company name. It degrades the Comapny name and fame.

Please do the needful action against them and give justice otherwise we may have to take the help of court.

i m Rahul tripathi .i had bought hcl laptop which is in warranty period.there was some problem in dvd writter of the laptop.so that was not working .i had given it to servise center of Allahabad on 08 August2009 for replacement .Its job sheet ticket no.080809/26.but the authorities of the servise center r not taking seriousely.i went there so many time but they r not taking it seriousely.i m wellwisher of HCL compny so plese take a strict action against them and provide me DVD writter as soon as possible.

Hi,
I submitted my HCL LAPTOP (still in warranty period) at the Hcl Service center Karnal branch of HCL Care for replacement of D V D Writer.
I was told the problem but he say that pls call [protected] no. & this person is telling me a very shameless word Pls conterct me my no.[protected]
Kindly look into the issue as my work is getting hampered.

I have bought an hcl laptop (model: powerlite 9400sp, S.no: 4093a1356938) from Palampur (himachal Pradesh) three monts earlier from a local vendor but from two months it is giving errors while acessing or copying anything to hard disk it is giving blue screen errors. I have given it for repair in hcl care Jalandhar for three times but all in vain iam a student and facing problems so pls help me out. photostat copies of repair in hcl touch are with me they are wasting my time and nobody is going to listen at me they have took my laptop once for 13 days and once for 9 days. pls help me out as soon as possible or tell me how to raise case against them.

i have purchased hcl laptop from hcl digiexpress showroom in sector-22, on 31-7-09 product code OTHMCS and machine no is A0844AX161549 in name of jatinder pal singh. as i was promised to get free reebok watch and reebok bag with the laptop as mentioned in the tribune, but so far i have not received any gift but they say that vendor has not given the promotional code with the registration which is not my fault.please help me .

Dear Sir,
Since i purchased i laptop from hcl outlet, i have got so many problems in my laptop.
Initially its screen gets dimmed, and i got that repaired from their service center sec22 chd, then again after some time its starts giving the same problem, and i again get that repaired. But when i happend 3rd time, i went to their service station again, this time they didn't log my complaint and repaired my laptop.

AFter few months my screen got damaged, i called them to get it repaired, they said now as the laptop is out of warranty , i need to get AMC for 3000+ Rs. and they will repair screen and if necessary they will replace it.But when i went to their office they said, it will not be replaced under warranty and i need to pay 12000 RS for replacement.

This i time , i get the screen replaced from some other vendor in sec20 for just 3400 Rs.
I was amazed that my hcl system was having the chinese made screen and i got the same screen at 3400 Rs.

Now the problem is that my battery back is very low, but company is giving the battery at 4000+ price and secondly some of the key also stopped working, when i called hcl service center, they said keyword will be changed at 1000 Rs and also they will charge me around 1650 Rs as service charge, in total around 2650Rs.

I purchased the laptop at around 32000Rs, but i am very depressed with the systems performance, i mean quality in just less than 2 yrs.
I purchased the laptop in dec,2007.

Is their any way i can get the system replaced or get the money as compensation...

this is saurabh jha, i have purchased a hcl laptop core 2 duo from hcl digilife. after some time the dvd writer of my laptop stopped working. i made a compliant to the hcl service centre where they told me that your dvd writer will be replaced with a new one after 15 days.
i had submitted my compliant on 27.07.2009 and after 22 days i went to the service center but they told me that your writer have not come yet now. i have made two to three rounds to the service centre but they do not give me the proper response when they will sort out my problem.
kindly do consider my problem because my office work is suffering becuase of this problem

i am using HCL laptop model no.--B30 C2D serial no.--3084AX358079. i purchased it from meerut on 2 june 2008. in my warranty period on 1 june 2009 i done its checked out from allahabad service center. i found the information that all the things right but battery is not working correctly. they provide it to me after 45 days on 17 july 2009. my problem is that it is not working correctly . when i charged it fully then it shows time 2 hour and 10 minutes . but during use it works only 1 hour and 20 minutes. i say to the company but the not give me right information . MR. ARVIND who is working in allahabad HCL service center, behaved me very badly. sir right now after the servicing their are many other problems are came in my laptop as like screen problem, sound problem, and some button problem.

in this way i want to request you to solve my problem and provide me justice. i will very thank for you .

I had a problem with the HCL Heather Laptop. All in one day, I shutdown the laptop normally on one day and the next day when turned on, it didnt reacted back. No display!!! Just power light got lit up! I had given the laptop to the HCL TOUCH (IT HURTS OUCH!!!), by April 18 2009. They said they will get back to me after the service is done, and said it may take 10 days! I had waited till today (07 Aug 2009), till now they are saying some invalid reasons or "By next week, your laptop will be ready sir! We will call you back once it comes!"

I had waited for tons of weeks like this. They never called me back, I am only calling them! I dont know what to do! Its been more than 3 months its with the service centre! Can I file a case on them in consumer court? Since I am using my laptop for freelancing projects, I couldn do any jobs and lots many customers because of this.

Please help me what to do next!

dear concerned, i am dhanasekaran from chennai. i went to hcl service centre in chennai to service my laptop. the facilities provided were very poor. the cost of the spare part that had to be changed was Rs 466.oo only but the service charge which was billed was Rs 1655.00. The total bill amount that i had to pay to change a part worth Rs 466 was Rs 2121.00 and they have not provided any warranty even on demand.
there is no credit card facility in the centre.
I would request you to take necessary action on public interest.

i have purchase a laptop from ambala dealer in 2007 near sep. and in the year its having body prob.that is it is having hinges prob an di go to yhe dealer and he said me to spend 2100 for the hinges and he will repair it
i gave 2100 to repair center which is in karnal and he repair it after repairing it again it have prob in hinges with in 3 months what to do now
one thin more this model is having the manf.falt of hinges
