HCL — sound devices are not recognized

when opened sound and audio devices from control panel, it showing no audio device.
Leaptop is not recognizing hardware devices conneted to it

I havnt faced this much trouble and nusance in any of product what i have bought uptil today...There are so many problems..I bought the laptop last year from a hcl dealer. Now his shop is abandon and he is also missing...where should i aproach for tecnical problems ...may be i will use this laptop for one or two years but surely i will recommend each of my friends not to buy this hcl laptop as they have pathetic customer services..even online services are poor..I not even felt like expressing my regards...This much big company should think that if they are selling a product worth rs40000 services should be up to the mark.

HCL — My sound device is not working

the day when i formated my computer, my sound device was lost. At the last moment of installment, a message came "your sound device cannot be installed". So mam / sir, Can you help me with this problem?

I have Bought hcl laptop few months ago, model number is 2801, i personally recommend that, no body buy hcl laptop, very first week my laptop having charging problem, i went to service center, they said warranty is void bcoz the sticker is not there.. then i spend 1200 rs to repair that, after one month my hard disk crashed then i spend 4500 rs, now again i have problem with display, and i bought new FL at 1800rs from nehru place, now i am not able to install my sound driver bcoz there is internal fault in mother board...

I have purchased a laptop from Mathura (UP) few months back
which is still in warranty. the charger is working and i have send it for service to replace it and give me the another.I ve complained the same to my Vendor Who in turns told me that we will give u the another but so amny days have been passed but he is not replacing it. He is just passing his time 2 days has been passed but he is not replacing it.

I have purchased a HCL laptop from computer associate in Gaya. My charger is not working, So I have given this charger to your dealer( computer associate G.B. Road Gaya), I found a new charger from the dealer But this is not a original charger. Because there is no any marka of hcl on that. and no any documentation is performed by your dealer.
So, please kindly help me and send me original charger. As soon as possible.

I agree with you guys' complaints, have to admit I faced similar ones but found the solution. Try http://www.hclleaptops.in/ Go to Support>driverdownload and then select product and the right model PS: click on the "Sample model Image" to find your model number, its a pain I know..but after all this suppose it shouldn't be a problem. For other spare parts visit ebay or just google. Trust me it isn't that hard

i had problem in the display like a line in the bottom and display flickering..For which i gave it for service in Chennai service center. having the serial no.7492 dated 16/01/2010 and i got my Leaptop repaired on 25/01/2010.the lcd was replaced..After few days again same problem came and again they replaced the lcd after allmost 1 month of reporting...Now again the display is flickering..This problem is repeating..Now if i get service also I am not sure the problem will come again..Please suggest me what I can do? Well i bought the HCL leaptop a 6 months before..in the month of december..Now this is the second time...the motherboard is become dead..i am really tired of carrying my laptop to the service center which is in Nehru place and it took me 2 1/2 hours to reach there from my home...well its ok...but the pathetic situation is that..when they quote of 7 days of time ...and after 7 days they dont pickkk up the phone...its really pathetic...they should replace my laptopn now...because the leaptop version i have some internal company defects...please help me...My name is Sagar Nawariya..i am a student ..i cannot afford so much of pain and the money as well...

This is being to notice you that what kind of HCL Notebook service (harassment) are giving to customers / end users from HCL service center, east of Kailash, sant nagar. I am Amardeep Kaur from north Delhi has purchased the HCL laptop (p 30 model) from Authorized dealer when my HCL notebook started giving problem nobody help me to sort out! Even my authorized dealer said go to the service center as I have NO enrollment in this When I went to HCL service center (sant nagar) to give my notebook on 12 July 2008 firstly, at that time they make me wait a lot I knew that there is Motherboard problem because it got hand intermediate + display is coming in different colors as I am also IT person so I have also did all the formatting + reinstall OS etc. but still same issue but your HCL engineer said this OS problem and we will reinstall the OS .However, I said Okay they kept my laptop in service center by providing the job information no: 316. then my MBA exams got start then I would not able to collect my laptop instantly even daily My dad was calling to service center about laptop performance as per the word of Kulwinder & Manpreet the laptop is working fine & said to my dad please collect your laptop. Then on 1 – August -2008 (Friday) I went to service center to collect my laptop as usual I have to wait a lot there after requesting so many time I said to Manpreet please give my laptop as I am working person & I have to rush for my job then he consider and when he open my laptop in front of my eyes the LCD screen from LHS in circular way was broke then immediately he shutdown the laptop and Manpreet said there is some connecter loose problem please provide me 10 min I will fix it .I told to Manpreet I have seen My LCD screen was broke let ON the laptop he was denying to ON the laptop then by insisting I on the laptop and clearly saw the LCD screen was broke. Now you let me know whose fault is this. I have purchased hardly 1 month back & your service center engineer had broken my laptop. Then I called to your manger (Vivek) he was also not cooperated with us and said it’s was other laptop your laptop is okay. When I & my father were speaking to Vivek, your service engineer locked there room and changed the LCD screen with other Laptop screen. After did all these cheating they open the door and said this is your laptop now question arises here they think I am fool I cant see the mismatch Of Lcd Screen & laptop body screen color & I have seen by my own eyes. Now second thing, after a lot of conversation with Vivek, Manpreet, Kulwinder no body response in proper manner due to frustration I picked my laptop and came back then after one hour again the same problem persist i.e. hang problem again question arise? This is the service you provide to your customer after keeping laptop more than 15 days still the same issue come then what they diagnosed with my laptop? Then I called to Manpreet he said I have reinstalled the OS. Again question? I have scanned my laptop in safe mode believe me I got 180 virus (Trojan, malware, worm) if Manpreet has formatted my laptop then from where virus has come. So its indicates they did nothing with my laptop &even broken the LCD in return I get this service from HCL service center.. Third thing, Then from last two days I was trying to sort my problem by my own self but if it is hardware then I cannot do any obsession at this moment my laptop is hanging+ display in greenish color + Bluetooth is not connecting .then I got message from Manpreet tomorrow in evening that if I required any help related to Laptop I can call him without any hesitate after putting my full affords (not able to resolve issue) then tomorrow near by 10 :00 pm clock I messaged to Manpreet that may laptop is not working at all and explained above problem Now see, in morning I got message from Manpreet that Today is Friendship day so can you do friendship with me & I know your answer will be yes ? Now HCL team, you tell me this kind of service you providing to customers? Means if I have to rectify the problem then I have to do friendship with your service engineer or go outside for dating THIS is your service towards end users. I am surprise? You know, nobody has responded to my query I spoke To captain Vivek (manger) he was also bluffing my matter and spoke very badly to my dad when I complaint about your engineer service to Vivek. Now you let me know what I should do.


I am very upset with your service & the harassment /misbehave did on us by your HCL service engineer. Yesterday I spoke to your Customer care executive also, name may be shekhar hope he has also provided my incident to you. Now I have only hope from your side, HCl is the brand company then why it is not providing good service, why HCL not understand the pain of customers. Why your HCl engineers are misbehaving with us. Hoping I will get response from your side soon I would appreciate if you call me at [protected] (Delhi) & alternate email id:- [protected]@yahoo.com one more request please replace my laptop as my currently laptop is not more than 1 month old and I have all the documents + box also.

This is Bhupendr Singh, I bought an HCL laptop on 1st november, it is the costliest laptop available on HCL strore, with configuration like 4GB RAM and 250GB Hard Disk. The deal is really looks good but after that I used to suffer a lot.

I constantly fighting with installing drivers. Today I made three calls to your ServiceCentre, all calls are long in terms of call duration.

Service guy wants me to move to latest vista ultimate to window XP the older version and told me that this is due to third party drivers not we but I bought it from HCL and if my problem persist then I will not suffer alone. I already suffering for two weeks.

Please do the needful ASAP.

l, johnson, purchase Hcl laptop from Edge Technologies, Thangal Bazar, near Sani mandir, imphal west, imphal, Manipur. i purchase it on 27 May 2007.hcl model of p19. but on August 2008 i got a problem, then i came to edge technolgies they take 2&half month for servicing after that they told it was motherboard problem, so we are sorry.they give it back to me. after that i send to Hcl servicing center, Guwahati through SRM Equiptment on May 2nd week 2009. company send me back that we don't have motherboaed for this.

I have a HCL laptop( LX INFINITY POWERLITE 6000G2/CELM1 ), suddenly the laptop stop functioning.
When I put power on that the cpu fan running for a while than stopped, after some seconds that fan is

LCD screen has started giving white edges at corners. Pls provide me with your customer care number or service centre of "east of kailash". It is 1 and half year old.

while i was taken the HCL company's LCD MONITOR then i dont know what happend suddenly lcd's black spot.so before three months i am compalints in the company. HCL comapny's computer engg comed and he saw LCD MONITOR everywhere and he also said your lcd not physical damage & he was took the lcd and after he was taking the in ahmedabad main office they were saying its physical pro. but actually his compute engg coming that time not physical damage and HCL company said now now damaged by me.so i m compalints in GRAHAK SURAKSHA and now i m compalints this topic in your DIVYA BHASKAR so pls help me .

without pressing fn key working automatically
because of this problem if i type normally letters type wrongly

to solve this problem press fn with Ins key. (Ins key is situated at the top right corner). this will result into num lock and your fn key will start working properly.

I bought a HCL laptop before 1 year, till now i don't have any prolem with that i am happy with that too.
But now I got a new prolem with that, the desktop(and all other screens) is rotated from landscape to protrait mode. I did R&D to turn back to Landscape mode but i failed to do so.

laptop was purchased in beb 2007 with onsite warranty. nobody is comming warranty for 3 years (rate contract).
all 3 usb ports not functioning. when visited service center they said the pins are spoiled for 2. when shown them that third stopped functioning right now and comp says device not recognized hey say that motherboard has to be changed and replacement cost is rs. 120000 even though third port is completely intact but not functioning. i found out that there are problems with usb ports of these laptops.

I have hcl laptop, when i start the laptop it start right when username and password option is come.But after feel the username and password it take more time to start.It take about 15or 20 minuts.After click on the taskbar it going to hang .It take more time when open any program like my computerand more.Disk cleanup, disk frangment and all things is do by me.no any virus.Sunday its work good but when open on monday it gave this error

i bought my HCL laptop K21 PDC in sep 2007 with minor problems almost everything was going well but suddenly when i formatted my system and installed xp i came to meet the real problem . whenever i'm switching it on it shows high use of CPU almost goes to 100% in general it makes my system response too slow and hangs just not responding as usual . As i'm in final year and need it a lot for my project works, I don't know how to overcome this problem, even i tried 3 to 4 times by formatting and installing OS but same result . is it due to any virus or any hardware failure like RAM or CPU itself .

Defect in Laptop
I had purchased the HCl mileap laptop on the date 15 Aug 2008 from M/S Bigbazar Hiland Park, Kolkota
To my surprise the quality of the laptop was such that it started creating problem after 1 month of purchase . I contacted the local service centre and managed to correct d same in consultation to the toll free no provided on the leaptop.
Again after 2 months one day I could not start d leaptop and submitted to the local service centre located at Dibrugarh (compuserve).To my surprise and dismay that the service centre refused to entertain the problem and said that there is no warranty card but have some documents showing mismatching of the Sl no shown in the mileap leaptop and the enclosed sale document from Bigbazar. I am waiting for last 2 months for getting it corrected inspite of my repeated attempt and contact with HCL engineer and big bazar personels in Kolkota also.
Since, this was the clear case of manufacturing defect and the fraud I would like to demand the replacement of the defective laptop being sold to me along with the compensation for the mental harrasement and the lost of time and money because of this fault of HCL. Moreover, I want the action to be taken against the dealer for his non responsiveness as per the customer laws.

I request the appropriate authorities to look into the matter for the speedy resolution of the case.

I purchased HCL Notebook on Nov'08 and during the time of purchase i found 02 nos of dead pixel shown on screen and i demand for change the laptop but seller (M/s Infocare Solution, Rourkela) told me to see for another 02 month, otherwise i change this screen . After 02 month when i complain to seller please change this screen, seller refused to change the screen.

On that day, i feel after sale service of HCL is worst.

Please arrange for change my laptop screen as soon as possible. because presently laptop is in under warranty.

Do not buy HCL Computers because you will be sorry if you buy this brand. Once your computer is out of the guarantee period the company's attitude is amazingly irresponsible. If there is any problem in the computer you are at the mercy of the dealer. The company does not provide any service window and if you call them for any help or guidance the response is negative in the extreme. The attitude is ' now that the guarantee period is over you can go to hell for all we care'.

I am a victim of their callous attitude so please be guided by my experience and do not fall into their clutches.

I agree fully with the worst People that HCL have.
I bought one Toshiba LapTop and it did not work. I gave it to a HCL service centre, annangar, chennai(since Toshiba havetieup only with hCL).

More that 3 and half months over and every time i give a call, they say, we wil fix it. They never commit any date on which they can fix the problem.

I have never seen such a worst serivce in my life. NEVER PURCHASE HCL OR TOSHIBA LAPTOPS AND NEVER GIVE IT TO HCL GUYS.

same thing is happening as m also using the hcl lap past one year...n customer service of hcl is so shameless that even after reading so many compains they are spending on advertisement instead of providing customer support services to existing customers

So my problem is that, my laptop is on the guarantee period of three year and some of the charging and audio problem is there on my laptop, the reason to mail this is that i need the service centre address with contact no. in chandigarh so that i can show my laptop to them.

I have owned hcl laptop one year ago and since i have brought at home it is not working properly.I have visit service center every month.everything inside that leaptop has been changed.now the warranty has been expired but i have submitted it within warranty period and the problem is of graphic.They are saying that it's ok and it's software problem and not repairing it.i asked for replace but nothing about it.it is visiting every month and i am losing my time behind it.They are not looking at software problem.

I bought the computer in 2007 from District Centre--Delhi, and was trying to find the Customer Care #. I tried searching it on the Web site and to my agony till date i have not got the service center add or phone #.

I tried with Just Dial service they also did not had the Service Centre number, which shows that the most updated directory also does not have your number. In today's World, wherein, Customer Service is given the top priority, HCL is nowhere to be seen in Customer Service. I m really dissappointed and feel like I have wasted my Hard earn money.

I for sure will not advice anybody to buy HCL Computer.

I am having a HCL Desktop Computer Serial No. 8064az053193 (Under Warranty). From last 3-4 month my system not working properly. I registered complain in HCL by this no.[protected]. Engineer visited my place said my computer’s RAM not working and replaced RAM. But Replacing RAM problem still their then they said there is problem in Motherboard and they replaced Motherboard on 27/07/2008. Even after that problem still continue then Engineer said problem in RAM. I again complained on 28/07/2008 Complain ID.[protected]. Engineer came on 19/08/2008 after 20 days. Engineer having only DDR-2 RAM not having DDR-I he said he will come tomorrow and replace RAM since then nobody come place till date and system is down for almost 2-4 months. I myself Rakesh Kumar, I had purchased a HCL Desktop sr. no. 5087AZ206661from Ascent, B-6/1, sector-5 Rohini, Delhi-110085 on 21/08/2008.

My problem is that my computer is not working properly from the first day, I have told my problem to Ascent so many times and after forcing them so many times they changed the mother board but still my PC is not working properly. I think Acent knows from the bingeing that they have given me corrupted set. I tried so many times to contact HCL on so many customer care no. but no one was picking up the phone.

Not happy with the poor service of HCL.

ON 4/9/08 I GAVE THIS LAP TOP TO HCL SERVIVE CENTRE SCO-2453 SEC-22C CHANDIGARH.[protected].JOB CARD NO .IS 138.THERE WAS PROBLEM IN MOTHER BOARD AND DVD WRITER.THEY PROMISED ME TO GIVE IT AFTER REPAIRED WITH IN A WEEK AS IT WAS UNDER WARRENTY.

I purches a hcl leptop only one month ago but in it, there is too mainy problems in my lap .
1.there is no battery backup (only half an hours battery backup)
2.heating problems (i install a game cricket 2007 but on time of playing it run only one or one nd half hour`s, after this its make b sound and hang it, no one keys working so it off directly).
3. its graphics is so poor.
4. some times its key not working properly.
5. it not fully charge when in use .
And the other hand my room mates have lenovo and other one have compaq lap which is soo good vin every matter as comparision o[censored]r hcl lap.Its battery run min 2 hours nd no heating problems we play cricket in it approxy 2 or3 hours.
So what`s i m doing tell me imidiatelly .
I m so disturb at that times whan i purches ur hcl laptop.
I pay its cost Rs-32500+600=33100/- for this laptop.

I purchased a HCL laptop 1 yr back in Jamshedpur. At the time of purchasing the dealer told i will get 3 years warranty. But in the warranty card he mentioned only 1 year. Now my left click and right click are not working. In the service centre he told me that motherboard will be replaced. He kept the laptop for more than 1 months. Later on when he returned the problem was same. He told again i have to wait for 1 more months. I know he has not done anything. But he told that he has replaced the motherboard and the new motherboard is also defective. The service of HCL is very poor. Please never purchase any HCL laptop. And ask your friends also not to purchase any HCL products.

HCL service is worst in the world, even a small milk man can provide better service than HCL service center. I have bought a HCL Laptop 1.5 months ago and for the demo work service person from Andheri office has given me time 3 times and did not attend on any of the time. You people dont value time of your customes and are fit for noting. We keep our time reserve for you people leving besides our important work and you people dont attend us even for the demo of the machine which we hav purchased from you.
Now I am aware that why ppl choose Compaq laptop than these "chalu " companies laptop. Buying anything from you is just a waste of time as you ppl dont care for your cstomer time.
