On 20th April 2022, I received a call from an HDFC employee (Ms Triveni-[protected]) from HDFC Sales Team offering INSTA Loan against my Credit Card. I was told that the Rate is 11.2%pm with no paperwork, no GST, no processing fees and the Lock-in period is only one month and loan can be processed immediately. And I took a loan of Rs.1.5 Lakh with a payback period of 24 months. I was told that my first EMI will be on June 9th with an EMI of Rs 7900 from then on 2nd due starts July 9th of 5600. I don't remember the exact figure but the amount is in the mentioned range only. When i checked my monthly statement, it was mentioned that my loan ROI is 15% with and First due is on May 19th 2022. I immediately contacted Ms.Triveni on this and she accepted that it was a misunderstanding from her side and she accepted that she gave wrong information to me. I immediately said I would like to close the loan as the T&C is completely different from what I was promised. Then, I was told to pay my Pre-Closure charges which I refused to do and she voluntarily accepted that I need not do so. Later on, she changed the stand that I need to pay the Pre-Closure charges. Then, I filed a CRM Complaint ([protected]) dated 02nd May 2022. Further to that I received a call from their sales Team confirming these details. I gave all the required information and I was told that I will get a call regarding my complaint. It's been 10 days since I raised this complaint and so far, I haven't received any msg or any call. When I checked the status of my complaint with HDFC Customer car, I was told that the complaint has been as I was not reachable. I never got a call or msg regarding this after 2nd May 2022 and without my concern HDFC bank has closed my complaint. In this modern high speed internet era in a Metro city, having a not reachable situation is never possible. If calls were not possible, at least a msg should have been sent. Its entirely unethical and lying from HDFC that they contacted me. Im ready to pre-close my loan but I will not pay any preclosure charges for the mistake or incompetence of HDFC employee. It's been 10 days that I raised this complaint, so far no solution has been given to me from HDFC Bank.
