I have been a customer of HDFC bank since 2013.

This is regarding constant harassment and unauthorized debit in my savings bank account against the unjustified dues of HDFC bank credit card that I owned between 2016 and 2019.

Please see the sequence of events below.

August 2019: My HDFC ALLMILES credit card with the last 4 digits 8XXX expired. At this time, I had to make a payment of approx INR 1000. I don't remember the exact amount since its been more than 2.5 years now. The bank had dispatched a new credit card with a different card number (ending with 1XXX).

September 2019: the new card (ending with 1XXX) dispatched at my address never got delivered to me and was returned to the sender. in the meantime, I got an intimation from the bank that the payment on my card is due for the month of August. However, I wasn't able to make the payment since my original card with last 4 digits 8XXX had expired and got removed from the system and I didn't have the entire number of my new credit card (ending with 1XXX). I talked to several HDFC customer care representatives and even visited HDFC gachibowli hyderabad branch for a resolution. I was assured that I need not worry and the new card will be dispatched again and no late payment fees would be levied.

October 2019: the new card is still not dispatched and my savings account was debited for INR 830 without my permission or any intimation. I again called bank representatives and was assured that the new card will be delivered and my outstanding will be adjusted against the balance of new card.

December 2019: my savings account was debited again for INR 870 without my permission, intimation or consent

February 2020: my savings account was debited again for INR 930 without my permission, intimation or consent

During this while, I was consistently following up with the bank about the status of my credit card and when (and if) it will be dispatched.

September/October 2020: the new card is still not dispatched and my savings account was debited for INR 590 and 630 in September and October, again without my permission or any intimation. I started getting calls from bank executives for amount recovery to which I replied that I had already raised this issue with the bank. I talked to one of your bank executives (Name RAXXX - Contact no 7XXXXXXXXX) and was assured that this will be taken care of and need not pay any bill for now. Raghu had assured that he will provide me a resolution in the month of October and asked to ignore calls from credit card customer care for now.

I didn't get any calls for the month of November 2020. I assumed this has been taken care of.

December 2020- my savings account was again debited for INR 1450 without my permission, intimation or consent

In 2021 - my account was debited 8 times for a sum of INR 10, 490 - each time I was neither informed nor anyone took any permission to debit my account

Now, I am getting calls that I need to pay an additional 1000 INR to avoid incurring additional interest and late payment fees and the total outstanding on the credit card is over INR 21, 000.

During all this while, I made more than a dozen visits to banks, more than 50 calls to customer care executives but to no avail. My account had already been charged in excess of ~17, 800 in 15 transactions since October 2019 - which is again total harassment and violation of my rights. I had no knowledge of these transactions until today when I was informed by the supervisor of a collection agent about the last transaction of Dec 2021 for INR 2, 070. It was only when I saw my account statements for last 2.5 years, I realized so many debits without my permission.

Every time I get a call, I have told them that I am ready to pay the initial outstanding that I had on my credit card in September 2019. However, the bank has already charged me at least 10 times over it .

I request you to:

1. Please credit the INR 17, 800 debited from my savings account without my permission.
2. Clear the charges on the credit card (~21, 000) since I was never delivered that credit card in the first place.
3. My savings account not be debited without my consent in future
4. Please share the original outstanding on my credit card as of September 2019- which I am more than happy to pay and clear.

This has been a long ordeal and harassment - which has left a sour taste for HDFC brand.

    I have opened an Account with HDFC about 6 months ago, for the last 3 months i have been spammed with at-least one call daily for Loan, Credit Cards and any offers (99% ONLY FROM HDFC). I have logged a complaint Jan 9 and i got a response stating that i will not receive any further call and it will take 7 days for processing internally. Case ID: HBL=[protected].

    But now from this week i again started getting calls daily. I tried lots of options online with HDFC to stop this SPAM.

    PLEASE HELP ME HERE FROM SPAM HDFC !!!

    Note: Each and every person calling me confirm that they are HDFC Bank Employee, but i am sure they should be just contractors or Agents.

    @HDFC - Please don't reply in this forum with your predefined template. PROVIDE A SOLUTION IF YOU HAVE.

      I have a salary account which was opened by company I was working with And when my account was opened, I havent been told that there are any negative charges will be taken for not maintaining balance but now they are charging 600 per month. Which is not at all okay. I want to close my account now.

            Hi,

            I have purchased a product on 28th April, 2021 from Amazon. com worth worth INR 10, 131.43 and have returned the product on 8th May, 2021. Amazon has refunded the amount back to my HDFC debit card on 19th May, 2021 but I haven't received the amount yet in my bank account. Even on Amazon website the status shows 'Refund in progress'. When I reached out to Amazon custom support, they mentioned that the amount has been sent to the Bank but the Bank has disputed the amount hence I may have not received the amount and suggested me to check with bank.
            Since then I have reached out to HDFC team/grievance cell via innumerable emails but no adequate response. After taking several days they will come up with one excuse- "We wish to inform you that the said transaction is successfully credited to the merchant and therefore merchant has rejected the chargeback raised by us". They are not mitigating it in the right direction. Have clarified to the bank multiple times that I issue is of REFUND NOT RECEIVED for a returned bank.
            I have provided enough proofs to the bank with refund's transaction ID I got from amazon's team.

                  My name is Varsha malik, I worked for hdfc as a relationship officer my code is (v26114)i have given(mailed) my resignation letter to sm (ankit kumar) he didn't accepted my resignation.i was on leave from 21oct2021 for a week because i was not well, my sm gave me permission and even didn't ask for leave letter.and now they are sending me recovery letter, they are saying that i left the job(voluntary abundant) on 21 October 2021 and by mistake bank paid me extra salary of 10 days.

                    I had a credit card of HDFC Bank which was closed by paying all due amount. But it was not updated in my Cibil & Equifax reports. My report shows WOF comments even it was fully repaid & closed I even have No due certificate from Bank.

                      This is to bring to your attention that I am waiting on a successfully initiated refund from Paytm back to my HDFC account. I made a paytm wallet transaction on the 01st of February 2022, 02:46 AM using my HDFC debit card. I transferred the amount back to my bank account from the paytm wallet and it has been close to 72 hours now and the money is still not reflecting in my account. Paytm customer service has clearly refunded the amount from my Paytm Wallet to HDFC bank (source account) and also says it's the bank's responsibility to credit the money into the account by releasing the refund which is beyond Paytm's control right now as they have successfully refunded the amount. I was not able to get in touch with any customer service personnel over the phone. I also visited the nearest HDFC branch in hopes of some resolution, but one of the executives clearly denied that it's not their responsibility and that a email communication from Paytm was required to take up the issue, however, Paytm has already provided me with every piece of information required including the refund reference number for HDFC bank to look it up. So far no efforts have been made by the bank regarding this issue. I hereby urge you to take this up as my entire salary amount is now stuck. I will be attaching along a screenshot of the Paytm Customer Care Chat which includes every detail.

                        I am receiving spam emails and calls from hdfc officials id regarding loans and credit card. I don't understand why these stupid fellow are so work less that they call amd mail me every single day

                          I have paid the premium amount in advance and however, there were also ECS/Auto-Debit activated on my account. They have debited the amount even though the payment was made a month before.

                          this has been a new type of scam done by most companies. Recently I had an issue with mswipe and now hdfc.

                              I had opened a PPF account in the HDFC Bank last month. My main account is in Porvorim-Goa branch HDFC Bank but my PPF account is showing Anna Nagar - Chennai Branch address. I dont know how this has happened as i had put all the details accuractely during the account creation process. Request to change the PPF account branch address to Porvorim-Goa.

                                I have an international number registered with my hdfc account.
                                I do not receive any otp's for any online transaction.
                                I was also told that i will be sent an otp on my email id as well, that facility also does not work.

                                  Hello All,

                                  I was delayed making a payment and my account balance went into -₹6590 as I had an auto debit running, I received a call from Hdfc collection’s asking me to make a payment, they asked me to make a payment directly to the card from smarthub. I had made the payment from smarthub and 10 days later even after several calls my balance remains in minus.. I could see the payment posed on the card, but it’s still not removed from my account. I have spoken to customer service and raised a ticket “ Msg HDFC Bank -Your request has been registered vide comp BANC[protected].We will revert to you within 7 working days.” I have informed them that I will NOT be making any payments until my issue is resolved. And if I am due any late payment, over limit and interest charges during this ISSUE period it will need to be waived as I was looking to make a payment of 50k from my savings account to the credit card. But I cannot unless the account is brought back into a positive balance.

                                  I would also like to mention that I have several EMI’s coming out from this account and they are not being paid as the account balance is in minus due to YOUR issue.
                                  My issue is still not resolved and I am being harassed by your credit card department to make a payment via smart hub again. I have told them to resolve my issue as it is not pending for more than 16 days
                                  It has been 17 days now. Have had deposited 33.5k, and you have taken an addition 6530 from my account since it was already in minus

                                    I opened my HDFC Bank account on 24 Jan and my welcome kit was dispatched on 28 Jan. The SMS said that it will be delivered by 30th Jan but today it is 2nd Feb and I still haven't received it. The package is in my city but it is still not delivered to me. Please resolve.

                                      During my third year of my graduation [2019] i got interviewed by a company and they opened a zero balance for me but i was not offered job .The account was just opened i didnt use it. After my graduation i decided to use this account for my salary purpose so i checked balance of my account using debit card for the first time i am using [2022] i was shocked to see that my account is in minus balance . So i called customer care they said that the salary account is transffered into savings account. I didnt any message or call regarding it . Actually i will get message daily from HDFC reagarding loan . But i never got any message about account type transition and for non maintanace charges. Without any information how i will know about it. I request the bank to help me in this matter. I am just a student i cant bear that huge sum of money.

                                        I submitted the Unlock Account request to the HDFC branch @ HITEC city on Saturday the 29th Jan 2022. The lady at the bank told me that it will be unblocked by Monday. I have raised the concern twice with the relationship manager from HDFC and he told me that it 'll be unblocked by Tuesday. The status as of Wednesday is still blocked and I cannot access netbanking.
