Dear Sir, i am Saurav Sharma from Jalandhar. i have a QUERY kindly sort it out. i have worked with HDFC BANK from may 2005 to April 2007. firstly when i join Hdfc i Joines under HBL GLOBAL PVT LIMITED(SISTER CONCERN OF HDFC BANK) as a Sales Executive. My employee code in Hbl is S10972. after sometime in the month of April. i am promoted as a SR.Sales Officer and comes on the rolls of Hdfc Bank. then my Employee code is CS02533. FROM BOTH THE COMPANIES I DIDN'T have my provident fund yet. i am applied for two three times but didn't receive anything. kindly look in this matter and solve out my query unless i will take strict action against the organisation. kinly revert me back with an appropriate answer so that i will get my amount.kindly do at earliest as u know its already almost two years now. i am waitng for ur reply. i called on ur numbers but nobody receives the phone.also provide me ur numbers. kindly revert me with appropriate answer. i[censored] want any clarifications or information mycell no [protected]. feel free to mail at my email id. i have mailed this mail already two three times at [protected]@hdfcbank.com but didn't receive any reply .

I've submitted my whole documentation which is need for disburse the amount thrice to PF depatment Mumbai., But still not received any revert..

    Sub: Harassment of HDFC Credit cards’ Collection Agent and his friend- Petition- Submitted-regarding.

    With reference to the above, I submit to inform that as I am having HDFC Credit card No: [protected] and filed a civil case No: OS16/2009 due to discrepancies of amount and case is under pending. The above matter is informed to the HDFC Credit card and its collection agency at Trichy. Despite the civil case is under trial the HDFC Bank and its collection agent and unknown person’s torture me in many ways.
    Of late, particularly on[protected]Sunday) at 11-30 am two persons intentionally went my native place (My native place is Marudur Village, Kulithatlai Taluk and Karur District) by bike with out numbering plate and it has labeled as “Police”. They threatened my aged father to pay sum of Rs.3, 25, 000/-(Rupees Three Lacks and Twenty Five Thousand Only) to close the HDFC Credit Card arrears and close the account for which trying to tress pass into my father house scolding my aged father in filthy language even scold members of my family and there by causing mantel agony, paid and frustration to me and my family. My aged father socked and asked them to show their Identity card. But they did not show their Identity Card properly. One person among them gave his name as Ganesh and cell No:[protected], the another one did not tell his name. Immediately my father informed to me about this mater and I wanted to clarify the same through this number i.e[protected] one person attended this number he said I am not Ganesan and I did not go to your native place. He only revealed that name of Ganasan is fagged name and Mr. Annandam HDFC Credit Card Collection Agent and his friends have gone to your native after many times insist him to ask to who has came to my native village. I have socked, in the name of HDFC Collection agent and his criminal friends’ tresspassed in to my native village house. This reveals that the HDFC Card and Collection agent are not followed the notifications and guidelines issued by RBI time to time and they neglected all these guide lines deliberately.
    In addition to that the Private Banking’s methods of collection like a HDFC Collection agent or any private banks cannot take the Law on his own hand either send his men or his friends to recover the credit card balance unlawful ways. Further, I submit to state that the honorable High court and Supreme Court criticized and condemned the private banks for its alleged arm-twisting tactics for recovery of due from its customer’s i.e “We can not accept the Private Banks recovery agents act as barbarian way of attitudes to recovers its dues from its costumers in this civilzed society”. And also I am herewith enclosing a copy of Press clippings across the country regarding recurring complaints against misbehaviors and torture of Private banking and its Collection agents towards their customers for your kind perusal.
    And also I submit to state that one month back I was not issued any Cheque in favour of HDFC Credit Card No: [protected] till date. But I have received a message from HDFC Bank, that is “Payment of Rs.2, 790/- was credited to your card ending 0473 on[protected] Cheque subject to realization. This matter has been brought to the RBI as per reference No: 2 & 3.
    The misbehavior with me and my family has crossed un bearable and wounded me severely which affecting my fully potential and causing metal agony which as reflected in my physical health and family wealth and I am affected with full of mental trauma. I apprehend that my future is mutilated and doomed like any thing due to the above stated torture of the HDFC Credit Card and their collection agent and his friend.

    Prayer:
    Suitable measures may kindly be taken against the HDFC Bank Credit Card and Mr. Anandan, HDFC Bank Collection agent and his criminal friend. And also I request your esteemed office to take necessary steps and issue orders against such as private bankers by unlawful criminal attitudes and to prevent volition against human rights of the consumers.

    HDFC Credit Card — Harassment by collection agency for Rs 200/-

    I have been continously harassed for a payment of Two Hundred rupees by HDFC Credit Card Collection Agency. Also, they have breached Privacy of my information by giving my card information to a friend of mine. This is ridiculous. HDFC needs to recruit some qualified educated people and get their ethics right. You cannot harass customers for Rs 200 . Have some standard HDFC. Inspite of making the payment of Rs 200 and calling and informing customer service collection agency have called my friend and sent an executive to my office to collect the money. Do we have any law for Securing Privacy of customer information?

    i completely agree with this person...i am being harassed by hsbc collection agents since past 1 year..i was paying the dues regularly..but the total amount payable was not budging down...then i demanded for an explanation for my statements 1000 times and i did not get it...finally i said i will like to go for a settlement...on that they came on with a huge amount of 57000/- rupees..wherein the actual credit limit was only 29000 on card and i had already paid back 15 to 20, 000 rupees... when i agreed for a settlement and demanded for a letter they simply disappeared and then after some months again the harassing calls started from some different people and agencies and then again i have to explain the whole thing from the beginning...and the kind of language they use is very unethical...abusive language... first of all these people get after our lives for offering credit cards...we don't go behind them...and then they start harassing..i am a lady and i stay with my mother.when i am not at home these people come home and threaten my mother, , , when i demanded the id card of the person he simply denies it...one of the guy among them mentioned his name as RANE when i asked for the id he kept on saying i am showing and would change the topic to something else, i stuck to my question of id and he said ok i will come with my boss and show it...then after some time called from an unknown number and started talking in slang language...now a days crimes are so much on a rise and i am a lady staying with my mother alone...i belive these people has some malefic intention...i am not safe...so please this is a request to the readers to support this complaint...thanks

    "Transfer cases of civil disputes to High Court" K.T. Sangameswaran
    CHENNAI: The Madras High Court on Thursday directed the Registry to withdraw cases all over the State involving disputes of civil nature in which magistrates have ordered police investigation, call for the records and transfer them to the High Court.
    Passing further orders on two criminal original petitions, Justice R. Regupathi said the Registry should place the entire material and particulars before the Chief Justice for orders for an enquiry in those matters. Further proceedings of all those cases pending with the magistrates concerned were stayed till the disposal of the proceedings by the court.
    The judge said all records, including vigilance reports, might be placed before the Chief Justice for taking appropriate departmental action against the magistrates, in particular III, X, XVII and XVIII Metropolitan Magistrates, Chennai, and Judicial Magistrate-III, Coimbatore and Judicial Magistrate, Paramakudi.
    The DGP was directed to instruct police officers who had received orders from the magistrates in such cases under section 156 (3) of the Cr.P.C and the Station House Officers (SHOs) who had entertained similar complaints in the name of "petition enquiry" to obtain opinion from the Director-General/Additional Director-General of Prosecution/Assistant Public Prosecutors and to file interim/final reports before the jurisdiction magistrates within two weeks. The DGP should file compliance report in three weeks.
    Earlier, Justice Regupathi had directed the Registrar (Vigilance), High Court, to collect statistics of private complaints relating to credit cards, personal loans, housing loans, hire-purchase loans and default in payment of instalments and cases under section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, wherein orders for police investigation were passed by magistrates. Accordingly, the Registrar submitted a report.
    The judge said the huge number of cases entertained by the six magistrates was quite alarming.
    Mr. Justice Regupathi said some judicial magistrates, in collusion with complainant bankers/financial institutions, were entertaining complaints relating to matters of civil nature and passed orders, under section 156 (3) of the Cr.P.C., for police investigation to the undue benefit of financial institutions. In some instances, they were entertaining similar complaints under section 200 of the Cr.P.C.
    Vigilance inquiries were conducted, and the complaints entertained were quashed by the High Court. Despite the High Court's reaction and repeated directives to judicial magistrates not to refer matters of civil nature for police investigation, it had come to light that such trend was still in vogue.

    HDFC Bank — Harshment of HDFC Collection agent

    This is regarding your HDFC Credit Crad This card i am using last 2 years.I have paid all the dues on time since 2007, I have never delayed your payment.But unfortunately some month ago i have lost my credit card, So i have blocked the same.despite this i was paying on time.But Last your month i have not received my billing statement or sms from your side then i called up customer service number & request to generate my bill.But till date i have not received any payment advice from your side.

    Nowadays one of your collection agency called up me on nearby 14/08/09 for the case payment.I have simply denied for the case payment.So i have drooped one HDFC Bank check at Nehru place ATM in fever of my card number.According to HDFC BANK agency they have received same in Chennai.

    Now agency calling up me again & again too many times & using very bad & vulgar language.I am totally upset with these calls.If i will receive this kind of call from your bank, then i will take appropriate action against them.

    Hi, I am woman and I have been receiving abusive calls from an HDFC collection agent for someone working in our organisation who has taken a loan. Despite my letting the agent know that this is a wrong number he continously calls and uses vulgar and abusive language. I feel helpless and scared picking up my phone everytime it rings. Since this is my work number I cannot even afford not to pick it up. The calls are coming from [protected]. Please help!
    ya its hundred % true, while issuing credit card this guy have not verified with full detail, taking wrong document and detail of other person and company employ use to use that document for there own. and use it in wrong way, because they dont have any problem whith there document. and after misusing this company employ only use to call that document guy to pay the amount. this is only going throughout india. this thrasing guy should be hanged till death. like iran and pakisthan.

    this hdfc guy use to take original document from party to issue credit card and after that they use for personal purpose. this is going on through out the india. i dont know why RBI is seating quite. so please requesting all indian to quit HDFC ACCOUNT AND STOP USING SERVICE OF HDFC BAK. PLEASE BEING AN INDIAN REQUESTION ALL INDIAN TO STOP USING HDFC BANK SERVICE.

      Hi,

      My name is Loveleen Bansal.

      I hold a credit card with ur bank (Card Number:- [protected])
      I never made any transaction using this card.

      I only made one transaction which is with Globus for Rs 5000 in Mumbai.

      I am gtting lots of collectin calls stating that i have not made any payments from past 2 months, i am not making payments as i have not made these transctions.

      Collection dept ladies were very rude and using abusive language as they want me to pay.
      I told them that i have already written so any complaints as i have not made these transactions..but they are not ready to listen to me.

      I have tried expliang them lots and lots of time but no body is ready to help.

      I have also called Customer service as wellas written mails to HDFC to raise a dispute in regards to the transaction but no response from their side.

      Please look into the matter as you people SHOUT ON YOUR CUSTOMERS AND USE ABSUVIE LANGAUGAE BUT NOT READY TO LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS.

      Please call me on [protected]..i will not pay as i have not made these trasnctions.
      Collections ladies told me that they will be issuing notice towards me..

      HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED WITH HDFC BANK...people are very rude and don't know how to handle their customers.

      The collection agencies are the real frauds of the country. I am going to stop my accounts on HDFC bank and my relatives, friends credit cards. The person from collection agency(Gundas, rowdies) misbehavior done all this .

      Only for one month pending i got the first call from these stupids and not from the bank authorities. I am shamed of what they used words over phone.

      Warning: to HDFC these rowdies may collect you 40% of credit from the customers. But the 60% of your genuine customers will stop banking with U just keep in mind...
      I miss Amita Sarvade holdind a women gold card no [protected] i[censored] check in your records i have been paying all my bills regularly before time, i m working in insurance industry and due to some personal problem i m job less at present, and so i was not able to pay my bill this time.

      The tellecaller sakshi has called me i said madam i was not able to pay because i have financial problem i will pay the bill next month, but she insist me for payment, and also suggested to borrow money and pay the dues, i agreed and said i will try

      but she started calling on regular basis and i said i will pay next month along with all the charges which ever is applicable but she said no you have to pay it right now, other wise i m sending your name in CBILL and next day she called up and said i m sending a person at your palce for collection,

      the collection executive came, and started asking for money from my younger brother (age 15) who was at home,

      i m not a fraud to send my name to cbill nor i have refused to pay my dues, i m ready to pay but need some time for payment,
      I M HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED WITH HDFC BANK CREDIT CARD DEPARTMENT AND DEFINATELY SUGGEST EVERY ONE " DONT DEAL WITH HDFC"

        On dated 21.02.09, by way o[censored]sing above credit card, i 've put petrol to my car for Rs.1285/-. Due to some error in merchant's instrument, my card has been swapped 4 or 5 times. But the Merchant's statement shows the debit of only one time.Whereas your end debited transaction shows 5 times. Kindly revert the entry by way of this complaint and oblige.

But when I received your credit card statement letter on dated 20/2/2009. On that statement they haveshown late fee and other charges (Rs. 700). Kindly revert the entry by way of this complaint and oblige.

          Hi,

          Kindly advise me whether CIBIL is an authorised body to black list anybody just on the basis of a complaint filed by some bank. HDFC Bank has put me in the CIBIL defaulter list because of which I am not eligible to apply for any other bank credit cards. They have wrongly accused me of owing them Rs. 26000/- whereas I have already settled their bills worth Rs.14000/- in May 2007. On top of that, they have withdrawn cash of Rs.26000/- from my salary a/c two years after I have stopped using their Credit Card in 2008. I have filed a case against them in the Consumer Court. But I came to know that they have put me in the defaulters list at CIBIL. Who is CIBIL to decide whether the person is actually a defaulter or not ? Does anybody from CIBIL actually bother to check with the consumer or just believes the bank's story ? I suspect the latter is true. My credibility is being affected by this. Please advise.

            Recently, HDFC had reduced home loan rates to 9.75%.On enquiring about my existing home loan rate which is presently at 11.5% and on next cycle be effective 11%(I would still be paying extra interest of 1.25%), I was shocked to know that I would be charged home loan at same rate and this reduction in ROI is only for new customers.
            This makes us feel that we have done a mistake taking home loan last year.On enquiring about new rates, i was told that only spread has been reduced and not PLR.As it is we are burdened by falling economy, please dont make us over-burdened by "NOT PASSING THE BENEFIT OF REDUCED ROI" for existing customer like us who have recently availed home loan last year.

            I would sincerely request your team to take corrective action & reduce my burden on interest further facilitating better home loan management from my side.This would imbibe faith on HDFC's philosophy that "they also care your existing customers".

            HDFC is not reducing ROI for there existing customer, even they have increased the foreclosure charges from 2% to 3 %.

            I sincerely request RBI to take corrective actions against these unethical practices followed by HDFC Banks.
            I had got the same answer.

            I had taken a Loan on 10.25%. They have kept me still on 10.25 and have no plans to lower it.

            It seems it is only applicable to new customers.

            There is a lot of variation in the ROI charged by them from customer to customer, and they always have some vague explanation to it. There is no rule, it's totally there 'dadagiri'.
            And the installment of each month needs to be checked with their EMI calculator, specially when the disbursed amount keeps changing.
            RBI needs to overhaul them properly.

              I'm facing this problem twice with HDFC Bank Collection Centre based at Nelson Manickam Road. The first incident occurred on 2008 when i was deputed to a hospital project establishment in a very remote village of extreme southern part of Tamil Nadu. THe village only has two nationalised banks with ATM operations that too remains inoperative throughout the month. I was there for almost 6 months.I was not even aware of the payment due amount. On the second month a girl started ringing almost for every ten minutes harassing for the payment. She was ready to listen to the facts i was putting in. She started harasssing me that
              "she will sent guys to my residence at my nativity for collecting the payments or to make payment. she started giving commands to make the payments thru my friends and asking for their contact numbers so that she will make them pay for it "

              The second incident was that occurred very recently that i was not in town and the payment due date was over. so i waited for the next month's bill to arrive to make a payment.

              An by Name Kumar who claimed himself a " COLLECTOR " when asked for his designation and employee number, started abusing me for the payment. he started using vernacular slang which prompted me to reiterate back in the same slang. He started calling me early in the morning and threatened for not making the payment.

              I'm using the HDFC CREDIT CARD for the past four years and making prompt payments, I had to suffer a such humiliation that they had listed my name in the defaultors list resulting in cancellation of all other banks' credit cards.

              Really this BANK is becoming what ICICI BANK & CITIBANK were been in the past before learning their lessons

              The Police and the government officials will not help you because you cannot pay more bribes than the goonda banks; and because most collectors are benamis/relatives of policemen or bureaucrats. Find out the local Dada and seek his help. You are not a citizen of a straight State.

              HDFC Bank — Bureaucracy

              1. HDFC Bank has 3 levels of Management the Aditya Puri level, the Branch Manager Level and the Peon Level. The people who fall in between have absolutely no power and show their unhappiness with the customer by erecting bigger and bigger bureaucratic barriers.
              2. Their ATM machines have been bought in a junkyard sale. When you insert your card you hope like hell your card will pop out in one piece. The machine makes a sound like it is chewing up your card.
              3. You are supposed to be able to get upto Rs. 20,000 on your Debit Card, ATM machines routinely have a Rs. 15,000 limit.
              4. Their Investment Advisors have a average lifespan o[censored]nder 6 months in the Bank. They have now been tasked with the responsibility of handling customer complaints on the Banking side like Citibank. Unlike Citibank, the banking side of the business gives only grief to its customers. As a result instead of growing the investment side of the business, they are busy getting a earful from their customers due to shortcomings on the retail banking side.
              5. You can order a cheque book by phone with a Debit Card and a PIN but not with an ATM Card and a PIN.
              6. I had an account with the bank for almost 8 years when one official suddenly asked my what my annual income was and told me it was required under the KYC norms. I asked him if I had to produce a salary certificate or a copy of my tax returns. He said no that was not required but I had to indicate my annual income. I said in that case he should write my annual income as Re. 1. I hope his bureaucratic approach and the irony of my response was not lost on him.
              7. They do not have a Customer Service Manager with adequate authority and muscle within the organization. I have complained on over 10 occasions and each time things have never progressed beyond the standard, automated email response.
              8. Their web banking is probably the worst I have ever used. They ask you to change passwords every 3 months in the mistaken notion that changing passwords 4 times a year, enhances security. The only way they can enhance the security of the bank is by surrounding themselves with a 14 feet steel barrier. Effectively that is what they are doing by pissing their customers off. I know several HNIs that have moved on to other banks.
              9. Puri should take a look at his Mickey Mouse, shoestring operation and spend some of his profits on improving ATMs, Branch Comfort for the Customer, Customer Service, IT operations and a Complaints Manager with a Board position.
              10. ICICI Bank, Citibank and some of the smaller upcoming banks like Yes Bank, Ratnakar Bank etc will be eating Puri's lunch sooner than he thinks.

                I was really pissed of with the HDFC Gold Card. Guys, please refrain from going for this card. Really sucks. I bought one laptop for 29, 800 and i paid 20, 000 before the due date. So the remaining amount is 9, 800 and i need to pay interest only for this amount. Instead of this, they took the interest from me for the entire amount. That in fact comes to a whooping 85% interest. Even the most notorious blade company’s don’t go for such interest rates. Finally i had to pay 705/- as interest for just 9900 Rupees for one month. I wish i had taken the same loan from some blade companies and they wouldn’t have charged me more than 250 or max 300. Guys, go for HSBC or some similar banks as they provide reward points for our spending and we can redeem gifts for them. Not like the HDFC type, where they give a gift voucher of some bucks and we won’t get even a handkerchief for that voucher. Anyway i learned a lesson from this even though at the cost of coughing 705 Rupees.

                HDFC Bank Credit Card — DISCREPANCY IN THE CREDIT CARD STATEMENT

                Hi,

                i m ajit kumar having creditcard of HDFC bank, last month i have deposited cheque for the due amount more than one week before the payment due date, but due to "HDFC BANK CREDIT CARD" negligence they have not received my cheque on time and they charged me late fine + interest etc . i called HDFC BANK CREDIT CARD call center the only single point of contact they told they cannot speak in hindi, so you call us after some time (they dont have toll free no for Bangalore customers), i told him to transfer the call to hindi speaking executive, they told they dont have fascility to transfer the call .
                Before the payment due date i contacted "HDFC BANK CREDIT CARD" call center and i told them the situation that i have deposited the cheque one week before the due date he told ok you can deposit the minimum amount and you can pay the bill in the next billing cycle . In the next billing cycle they have submitted the same cheque and cheque bounced and they charged payment return fine .

                Due to their negligence they have charged first late fine, interest etc and again charging payment return fee since i have already informed about that cheque.

                I was the holder of credit card of HDFC bank (Card no. [protected], valid thru 10/08) and I came to know that the there is some over dues are balance on me, but customer care is not providing any details. I am calling to your collection dept no also at Lucknow and Delhi from last 3 days but no body is picking up the ph.

                Kindly let me know the dues if any, as per my knowledge there is no any balance.



                Kindly advice to your department for connects to me so that the issue/ miscommunication can be resolved. Request you to issue me the NOC certificate.

                  My name is Nitin Anand; I am a customer of HDFC - Home Loans Account No.[protected]. I would like to transfer my loan from HDFC to another bank with lower interest rates.                   Even I also faced the same problem. Initially I was told that for closure rate is 14% on 14th Feb but when I called customer care on 16th Feb, they said its 2% only. HDFC is lying & making people fool.
                  HDFC is charged me 3% as foreclosure charges, which was suppose to be 2%. I also had similar experience what nitin had.
                  Anyone please suggest if we can take legal action against HDFC. HDFC has increased the Loan closure amount from 2% to 3% without intimating the customers in advance.
                  Although it is their policy, they must intimate the customers in advance (at least 3 months) through letters before increasing any charges. There are many customer who are getting humiliated and harassed by HDFC unethical treatment to existing customers
                  I entirely empathise with Nitin's grievance. I think in such case, you may move your complaint to the banking ombudsman. In case you are not aware of this, let me explain you. Ombusdman is an independet body which interevene in the event when the banks do not reply or resolve any querry/complaint satifactorily. They are like the supreme court where any banking -related compalints can be moved, free of charge. Try that it may work. You need to draft your complaint clearly and effectively, mentioning about the history of responses you have got so far from your failed attempts with HDFC bank, supported with correspondence proofs like copy of e-mails, posts, calls to call centres.

                  I too agree with you, HDFC is one of the most worst bank for Home loans
                  this HDFC bank is a crap when you are going for closure of your account.
                  they are following the same path as ICICI is there. there customer service is like a crap. they does not understood the feeling of a person. the bank like this should be banned from india. they are providing the employment in the country but sucking the country. SBI should go ahead to take over all these kind of loan. i think these banks have a connection with builder as well.as per my understanding these banks are hiding the black money of the builders.I know you don't have much time for this kind of thing but You should go to court for the settlement or need to give a call to media to teach them a lesson (even media of our country is a crap but somewhere they helps). kya kare sahab hame bhi apna ghar chalana hota hai (a popular diolog from the movie wednesday)

                  I fully agree with above complaints, HDFC is very much reluctant to deal with foreclosure of loan issues and they charge 2-3% forecosure charges which is not justifiable.

                  even i am suffering because of 4% preclosure charges and then interest on preclosure charges on personal loans. If one's EMI bank account is closed because one changed his job, he was made to pay cash every month and still cheque dishonor charges were levied on him. ridiculous. and if one tries to give complaint letter to their branch, they refuse to accept it. they will make you run to one branch from other, and finally will disown their collection agencies. Please help in this matter. We are disappointed, have been requesting to accept outstanding principal, they want us to pay all charges which are not relevant in our case.

                  They are Simply Sucking the Blood of INDIANS in the form of MONEY of Entire middle class Society. You can't narrate about the Agony and Torturous ATTITUDE of these BANKS towards INDIANS.Because their purpose of visit to INDIA itself is that only.

                  They have come to INDIA with an ATTITUDE of Pre-Independent India. They have already Comfortably Spread their Tentackles all over INDIA and almost settling down here by getting this and that AWARDS from the Hands of INDIANS only.

                  They will not Quit India without another 'Freedom Struggle by Sri Anna Hazare'

                      I visited HDFC on 14th Feb 09 & I was told that foreclosure charges are 3% effective today. Then I called customer care on 16th Feb 09, i was told that foreclosure charges are still 2%. When I actually took foreclosure, they charged me 3%. I still dont know what are exectly fore closure charges. HDFC & its customer care telling different rates.
                      Also HDFC is charging on balance amount + prepayment made in current year instead of only balance amount.

                      I got to know today from HDFC branch that the foreclosure charges are now at 3%. When I was in the bank waiting for my turn to talk to the customer care executive, there were lot of people like me for the same issue of transferring the home loan a/c to some public sector bank ( mostly to SBI). And to refrain people from shifting to other banks HDFC swiftly increased the pre-closure charges from 2% to 3%. So, Now the HDFC executive try to convince the customers that after considering the charges of pre closure (3% of balance amount) plus processing fees at the other bank the savings in terms of shifting to lower interest rate will not save much.

                      HDFC was very quick in following any RBI rate increase, but now when RBI has continiously been reducing the rates HDFC is openly not ready to reduce the rates. Moreover they are trying to trap the existing customers at higher rate or exit with higher charges.

                      Since home loans are long term...even a small 0.5% interest difference on a higher loan amount make a sizable difference in outstanding/tenure. And HDFC has atleast 3.5%+ higher rate of interest than others like SBI. Bottom line...NO HDFC LOAN again...
                      Guys no point taking all this here lets get together & Take the fight to HDFC.

                      HDFC is trying maipulative practice since it started loosing customers to SBI. Earleir they did not have any prepayment charges now they say that they have changed it to 2%.

                      I am closing my loan as I do not want to get associated with an institute who is invloved in unfair practices.

                        sir,
                        i had credit card of HDFC BANK card no.[protected]. I availed the amount with in the avavilable balance which is showed on bank's mini statement.But the banker send me the bill with over limit charges and excess intrest charges, I sent a complaint to bank e-mail address, then the bank authority reversed the overlimit charges in JAN'09. But the Bank authority levyed the same was in Feb'09 bill and forcing me to pay the amount which banker showed as overlimit with all penalty. The banker doesn't concider the ministatement of my account which showed i have available balance. Due to this what iam paying the minimum balance fully cuttyig as penalty and banker will showing principle was unchanged. hence i request you please rectify my problem.

                        My dear friend, pvt. banks are doing very bad things now a days, ICICI bank is the live example, they people make their customer harreshed and fool as much as they can.I was having a insurance with ICICI but its being more then 3 months still not received any police from them. And if I called on the customer care the same reply, then I submitted my complaint to http://www.consumercourt.in they gave me some suggestion, I followed them now the ICICI people are saying me that we are sorry for inconvinounse. Realy they people only wants cases against them.
                        s is reference to my credit card statement, here by I bring to your notice that you have charged ' currency conversion charges ' of 3.5%, which is very high and also not charging by other banks, for example I used my ICICI bank credit card in the same country and during the same time for the same kind of expenditures, But they did not added this kind of charges. This is not the first time, I used my ICICI card in Overseas during my last many visits, I never paid this kind o[censored]n-reasonable charges. So, I feel may be HDFC bank credit cards division looting the customers money this way. Offcoarse I am paying total amount as per the statement, but I expect you return that 'Currency conversion charges @ 3.5% ' in the next statement if possible. If not, I may request you to cancel my card, Because I can not hold this kind of looting credit card. I hope positive reply.

                          Recently I submitted all my documents to a HDFC agent (HDFC Bank Lakdi Ka Pul Branch). I submitted all the documents including BSNL Phone Bill and Electricity Bill of my own house (registered on father's name). I just asked for 50 percent of loan for Fiat Palio Sports model. I am working as a project manager and earn pretty decent income. Later, after three days of waiting period I get a call saying that my address was not verified. When I asked the reason, they told me that even though my father had authenticated, the watchman of the building had told the guy who came for verification that I come to home on and off and maybe having another home. Incidentally on the same day I had gone to stay at my brother's place who is also located in Hyderabad. So, now I am being asked to submit the documents of my brother's residence as well. I got so irritated that I have cancelled my application and going for a Public Bank. I do not understand the quality of the verification process. A watchman is better qualified that my father (advocate in High court) to give the details about me. I recently read an article, that HDFC was complaining about SBI on trying to woo the customers by setting the home loans at 8%. If this is the kind of service that HDFC is providing then frankly, I don't think they need to woo the customers, everybody will prefer SBI over HDFC. I have understood my mistake in applying for HDFC when lot of public banks are willing to lend and would also suggest others not to commit the same mistake of going to private banks. You will end up being screwed and wasting time.

                            We would like to inform you that I am utilizing your Bank’s Credit Card for last 5-6 years however last 6-7 months, we are receiving Credit Card Statement on 23rd to 24th of every month and due to this we are unable to make payment on due date. Due to late receipt of Accounts Statement, even we are making payment immediately however your Bank is debiting Late Fee along with Service Tax & Cess Tax.

                            As there is no default on my part hence I am not liable to pay this late fee charges.

                            I hereby draw your attention that last month we have received your statement on 23rd evening and after that there was holidays for 3 days i.e. Saturday, Sunday and 26th January and due to this your account was showing late payment charges of Rs. 350 and during current month also there is charges of Rs. 350 which I am not supposed to pay.

                            I also have the HDFC credit card and people on this platform might get astonished that I made the late payment of 900 rupees bill by 4 day but as penalty, HDFC bank has charged around 1500 rupees excluding this 900.I have talked to the customer care and I feel that they are the rudest customer service executives and hence I have planned to surrender the card in next month when I clear the dues.
                            I feel the HDFC regalia card is worst among the credit cards.

                              I have not registered for email statement of my credit card bill. Bank has sent three months physical statement to me on my mailing address.

                              After that, without my consent/request (verbally/written/any other form), they have discontinued sending the physical statements. When my credit card billing date was nearer, i have inquired in phone banking. They said we have sent it to your email address and now onwards we won't be sending you physical statements.

                              Its your responsibility to check the bill in the internet and have to pay within timeline. I have argued a lot with phone banking officer that how could you stop sending physical statements without my request or consent.?

                              In addition to that, i have provided my personal email id at the time of applying credit card which is mitul.[protected]@gmail.com;

                              They have captured it my professional (official) email id and that to wrong one. I have never received any credit card statement on my email id from the credit card division.

                              Just imagine, how one could pay the bill, if he or she doesnt know the billing amount..?

                              That to, for changing my email id into their records i have to talk to phone banking officer twice. First time they hadn't process my request. Second time, they took 3 days to process the same.

                              They have charged me 350 rs for late payment fee. In email, communication with them, they have confessed that they were failed to send me the physical as well as email statement in time.

                              Solutions I need:

                              -> Reversal of 350 rs amount
                              -> Physical statement to my resident address according to billing cycle.


                              Please help me out to resolve the same at the earliest.

                                I tried to use my HDFC International debit card in US, but unable to do it after many e-mail interactions with bank. I'm not happy with the service the bank provided to me instead they told me that there's something wrong with my card but I got that new card in the first week of Jan'09 and I could view the bal in my account but couldnt take out cash from Bank of America ATM in US.
                                I would like to highlight this to everybody to make sure that nobody will suffer as I did. If HDFC gives you International debit card then ask them if you can really use it internationally or its just in printed format.

                                I am in need of help.

                                I am currently using my HDFC Easyshop Internationa Debit Card here in the US.

                                I have been swiping it for grocery shopping & luncheons until recently when my friend told me to check the conversion fees & other related it attracts for every transaction.

                                I am unable to login into my NetBanking bcos of an expired pass. I am curious to know if you have any idea on the surcharge structure for this.

                                Also, I might withdraw $500 from one of the ATM's here in US. How much would i be charged?

                                I agrre with Roopali. I am having the same problem with HDFC Debit cards...they are not working when used on ATMs in US. I have been following up with HDFC Bank for about an year without any results. Please send your complaint to HDFC and maybe they will act if they realize that problem is widerspread across many NRI customers.

I had also taken a personal loan some time back .On 06 Aug 08, I had deposited a lump sum amount to close my account with specail instructions after contacting your custoemr care executive . i am aghast to see that my credit card still reflects montly COC on PRIN NB and COC INT NB of 1867 .85 and 95 .12 respectively which is not understood.My acccount sheet In Sep 08 was showing minus - 1369 .29 in the total amount due coln which clearly indicates that there was excess deposits . Please see to this lapse at your end and ratify .

                                    My credit card no. is [protected] from past eight months i have been charged extra amount every month on this credit card and inspite of asking for the details they are not providing me the details of my bill and why is extra charges leived on my bill every month though no purchases made against this card for the last six months and late fee is being charged every month though no bill is sent to me on my bill continously following with the team they dont provide the bill and chaging every month late fee on my card.

                                    Last month without informing they freezed Rs 7500/- from my bank a/c against this card i made the payment of Rs 2000/- last month they unblocked my debit a/c and again they have sent me the bill of 7000/- though the card is not being used still they have charged extra amount and when asked to customer care they dont provide any detail of the charges however my actual bill is only Rs 4000/-

                                    I have continously saying to provide me the details and settlement of my credit card no.[protected] they are not doing the final settlement of my card and repeatedly charging extra amount of my card and they keep on calling for payment of bill without providing me the bill.

                                    I request that kindly help me in settlement of my card i want to close this card .

                                    Please look into it and reslove my issue as it is actually very paiful for me bear extra charges every month for no. reason.

                                    Dear Sir,

                                    In reference to Card No. [protected] in the name of Vikas Bhatnagar, I would like to state that I got a statement in March or April '09 mentioning some outstanding due to some Bajaj allianz policy which HDFC Bank has levied the premium to me, which I have never signed or asked niether they have taken any permission from me to make this policy for me. So after examining that statement I contacted at HDFC Credit Card division, Chandigarh & explained them that I have not undergone any policy, so after a lot efforts within a week's time I finally managed to get it close that poilcy & the dues arised due to that policy was also been cleared by them & outstanding was made to nil & they confirm me also & after that I have asked to close the card as I have never used the card & dont want use also, after 2-3 days I confirm about me closure of card also which they confirmed.

                                    Now I have been transfered from Chandigarh to Bareilly (U.P.) in MY'09 now I came to know that HDFC has sent some Hon' Lok adalat notice in which they are mentioning some accounting differences at my original address of Chandigarh. Now my complaint is that when all these were settled & card was closed why they have me summon of Honble Lok Adalat, Chandigarh. After that I have talked at Chandigarh office & they have assured me about the call from their office within 2 days on 9 Sep'09 & the reference No. of that conversation of 9 Sep'09 is [protected] but till date I have not recived any call from HDFC Bank. I have updated my phone No. with them.

                                    You are requested to look into the matter & settle it as early as possible.

                                      I had availed housing loan from HDFC at the rate of 10.25%. Without informing me, they have increased to 11.50% and then brought down to 11% (the present rate).

                                      As SBI is offering at 8% which is applicable both to the new loans and takeover loans, I had approached HDFC for the same.

                                      To my shock, they have informed that penalty charges at the rate of 3% (along with Service Tax and educational cess on ST) will have to be paid by me if I am transferring the loan to another bank.

                                      Earlier the rate was 2% and with the fear that lot of customers will be moving to Public Sector Banks, HDFC had unilaterelly increased it.

                                      With the Supreme Court ruling against such pre-payment penalty, what is the recourse available to me?

I have a housing loan from HDFC with current ROI 11 % ...& will have to shell around 3.25 % of outstanding as loan closing /prepayment charges + service etc... .. and after inquiry was told that charges have been increased from Feb 2009... Prior it was 2 %...

                                      If HDFC wants to be the game .. they should drop interest rates . This penalty increase gimmick is only going worsen there reputation...

                                      I too feel the same heat as you all people are feeling .
                                      Today when i contacted the HDFC customer care for pre-clousre charges they told me that it has been increased to 3% from 2% since 16th Feb, 2009 .
                                      How banks can do such a unethical things with their customers .
                                      Either they should come into the competetion with all the bansk so that the customers should not think to migrate their loan or their must no be any charge for migration of loan to any other bank.
                                      3% is charged me too by HDFC bank.
                                      I don't know whether some action will take, but for my satisfaction I lodged a complaint at RBI website

                                      This is Blackmail by HDFC, they are holding their customers to ransom. They are not rationalising thier interest rates with the market and to add insult to injury they now have increased the prepayment charges to 3 % from 2 %.

                                      I wish the RBI or Govt. steps in on behalf of customers and does something to protect thier interests.

                                      Any new customers please shy away from HDFC. I have been a HDFC customer for nearly 10 years but all along I have been paying high interest. They upped thier interest rates so quickly when rates went up but they have delayed the reduction and that too only moderate cuts. I agree that the initial paper work is easier than PSUs / competiion but this convenience it is definitely not worth the price you oay later. Pls shy away from HDFC.
                                      This is really frustuating...same thing has happened with me even...I was shocked when got to know that prepayment charges are increased to 3%..This is again CUSTOMER DISSATISFACTION...HDFC should reduce the interest rates for existing customers also as existing customers are the current profit makers for them.
                                      How can HDFC bank can change to 3% for existing customers? When we sign agreement, it was 2% and HDFC should not increase for Existing customer.

                                      Please submit the notification mentioning all unethical practices of non-payment to HDFC from your side prior to stop the payment towards EMI. You may take the receipt from HDFC on this notification.
                                      Let HDFC file the legal suit against the borrowers.
                                      The concept of floating rate is not monitored by RBI.

                                      I am thinking to lodge a complain in Consumer Forum. Is it the right place for taking legal action against HDFC?

                                      I also faced the same problem, i have the loan from hdfc bank from last year and it is know to everybody even my self that preclousure charges are 2% of outstanding loan amout and keeping this point in my mind i have planned to shift the loan from hdfc to sbi on 10th feb, i took the forclosure statment and they have mentioned 2% and I went to hdfc again on 27march and they mentioned me that forclosure fees is changed to 3%, i shocked hearing that.                                       HERE"S THE LOGIC: The main concern for whoever that takes a loan is to repay it at the earliest. In fact pr-paying a loan is a positive thing. And therefore going by the principles of natural justice there is no case for PENALIZING a loan customer for getting rif of her/his debt earlier. And therefore (regardless of what forms /clauses they have got you to sign during the loan approval/granting process, a pre-payment penalty is NOT enforceable.

                                      HERE'S WHAT HAPPENS: Lay consumers, like all o[censored]s here- take the word of an institution for granted. We fall for things like,
                                      'this is the policy'
                                      'this is made clear in the loan ducument that you signed'
                                      'we charge this pre-payment penalty to everyone'
                                      etc
                                      and therefore, we hurt, crib and yet pay up- because we believe there is no option.

                                      HERE"S WHAT YOU CAN DO:Even when you are in the process of applying for a loan, and when usually we check with more than one bank/financial institution- state very clearly that you are not going to pay any pre-payment penalty or fore closure charges (quote the Principle of Natural Justice that i just shared )- you will be surprised that the bank will not just agree, but even give you a committment to this effect in writing

                                      I have done just that and I have a written committment from HDFC Limited that no prepayment/fore closure are applicable to me.

                                      Since it is essentially not enforceable, even if you havent done this while taking the loan, please do not pay when you want to foreclose and refinance. I have done this for an earlier home loan (fore closure from GRUH Finance and refinance from SBI) and it has worked.

                                      Essentially they are taking advantage of the fact that consumers are not aware that this clause goes against natural justice and is therefore not enforceable.

                                      PLEASE SPREAD THIS WORD TO AS MANY FRIENDS/ FAMILY/ COLLEAGUES THAT YOU KNOW ARE CURRENT HOME LOAN CUSTOMERS OR ARE IN THE PROCESS OF TAKING A LOAN

                                      I completely agree with the grouse raised. To add to it, i was surprised to see the attitude of the HDFC query resolution managers. HDFC is not sending any written communication to thier home loan customers on the change of rates and the impact it will have on thier exiisting relationship.

                                      I was surprised to see thier reactions when demanded one from them. They said that the newspaper article pubished should suffice my anxiety. None of the market driven benefits have transferred to us. I would want all the customers of HDFC home loan to come together and demand an explaination from them on playing with our hard earned money.

                                      Its a sheer exploitation on thier part on to thier loyal customers. In this dynamic market scenario where in each industry is keeping customer's interest in mind, an attitude like this will for sure make HDFC loose out its market share and also goodwill.

                                      I for sure never let any known person of mine to go for HDFC relations.
                                      The Reserve bank of India is supposed to direct all the banks including icici and hdfc and other banks not to charge prepayment charges on home loans and the National consumer Disputes Redressal commission's order in State Bank of india Vs.Usha vaid and another which was upheld by the apex court i.e, Supreme court of India. The RBI non complaince of this supreme court directive is depriving the consumers their right to chose a better product and the banks like icici are looting the consumers and they are tieing the rate of interest with individual banks plr rate which only goes to the interest of the bank and this is nothing but looting the middle class especially and the icici is collecting the blank documents and looting the consumers in lakhs and the RBI should direct the banks to be transparent in their rates of interest and should not collect foreclosure charges which are not rationale.

                                      I had my worst decision going HDFC home loan as per my home builder's recommendation, because he said it was fast and easy.

                                      1) HDFC takes at least 3 months to decrease the current RoI and that too with margin of .25% (point two five percent ) as per RBI's mandate, while other psu /private banks do it in short duration and in similar figure as indicated by RBI, and when rate goes up HDFC increases that instantly

                                      2) They will never let you escape, by putting heavy loan transfer charges to other banks, now 3 % + service Tax + STT

                                      3) If you delay in paying the EMI, they will charge heavy penalties 18%, 4% of emi amount depending on the payment method

                                      4) They tie up with builders only to lure you on commission basis and would hardly come to you and disclose you all the ever-changing important T & C

                                      As per your instructions, I had submitted loan application form alongwith all necessary documents on[protected] in your VIRAR branch office to Shri. Nimkar. I want to transfer my loan from ICICI bank to you. Loan amt. is Rs. 140000.But no action taken by HDFC till date.Please look into the matter and issue necessary instructions to your staff immediately.
                                      Due to allegedly higher cost of funds HDFC Bank has increased my already HIGH rate of 12.50% on floating home loan to 13% effeective DECEMBER 2009. When I approached them for prepayment they first asked for 4% then reduced to 3% the prepayment charges ALSO ON ALL INSTALLMENTS PAID FROM NOVEMBER 2006 UPTO NOW!!!

                                      I took loan from HDFC Ltd. (not HDFC Bank) around June 2007 (on floating rate basis) and found in
                                      these 2 years, I am paying always the higher interest amount/rate to HDFC compared to other
                                      market player.

                                      Begining of this year, I tried to transfer the loan to other bank but clever move from HDFC increasing the pre-payment charge (2 to 3 percent on a sudden fine morning) stopped me to transfer loan to other bank.

                                      At the same time, HDFC gave us a good story. They said, presently the gap between HDFC PLR and our existing floating rate is 3% (meaning if the HDFC PLR is 14%, our home loan interest is 11%).
                                      HDFC suggested us that now you can increase and ascertain this gap by 0.75 more by paying 0.5% of outstanding principal and hence we did it. So, currently we find that 14% is HDFC PLR, and our garunted deduction (from current PLR) is 3.75% and hence we are paying 14 - 3.75 = 10.25% interest.
                                      I understand 10.25% might be equal to the interest rate offered by HDFC to their new home loan customer and accordingly they can show RBI the example that to stop the migration/transfer they are converting higher interest rate of the old customer at per to the new rate.

                                      But EVEN THAN, what I can clearly see that ALWAYS HDFC interest rate is on higher side in market compared to other market players and hence what I can say it to AVOID HDFC for all future home loans.

                                      Apart, I support the comments where it says that HDFC agents never disclose the important T&C.
                                      HDFC people will call you in their office and will give a big agreement to sign. Whatever Agent has said earlier to you, may be a half truth where as the agreement has full truth - but unless you take a lawyer with you or you yourself is expert and read all that big agreement, you will never come to know about those finer details. Otherwise, you can demand the agreement copy before signing to read at your convenince and then go for a signing (and not "on the spot" attitude).

                                      I had taken the loan from HDFC, Kasturba Road, Bangalore - the main reason was getting loan is easier in private bank with less paper work, but now I understand, the intial pain to get the loan from a govt or PSU bank will led my life easier and I could save many lakhs extra (what I am paying today to HDFC as high interest without any justification, any protest) and Govt is also silent on this.

                                      I can write many more but I do not see any outcome writing here, so if anybody is going to consumer court or taking any firm action in interest of common people (HDFC Home loan borrowe), than please let me know and I would like to join that move.

                                      I am in the same boat and was surprised to learn that there were pre-closure charges (I was led to believe that there wasn't any at the time of loan) and that too as high as 3%. I am switching to SBI as I have to take a larger loan - BTW, the SBI loan process was not as hard as I thought it would be. When HDFC knew that I was going to SBI, they offered to refinance my existing loan as well as give me a new loan for 9.5% (their current rate). They do this for new customers, while I have been paying 11+ percent (and 12+ in between) for almost 3 years! If I was not trying to move, they would have not offered this. I spoke to their branch manager at length and he was trying to convince me that they are forced to do this to keep customers. He said that other banks were stealing their customers! He should know better. I don't think HDFC is really customer focused, they just want to keep getting rich by exploiting their customers.

                                      Just to brief you, my home loan file was logged initially from Basheerbagh branch and the sanction letter was issued by the bank to approach Taranaka branch. The legal advisor named Mr. Sainath (one of the legal advisor), who sits centrally at Basheerbagh branch initially scrutinizes all the legal documents and in turn will clear the files for further processing. On initial scrutinisation of the documents, the loan sanction mail was released by the bank which is annexed below for your reference. The details of the bank person who is coordinating with me so far in this processing is also mentioned below for your reference.

                                      The loan was sanctioned by the bank at a value of Rs.1500/- per sq.ft., which was based on the completion of the builders work in the project. On pressurising the builder from my end, the works were subsequently completed by him and asked the bank to do a revaluation. While again considering the request, the bank has asked to relogin the file to complete the scrutinisation and to do the revaluation. On second scrutinisation, the bank has asked the builder to produce some more legal papers and an opinion from a lawyer. The same was also submitted by the builder couple of weeks back in this regard. When I was enquiring the same with the bank coordinator, I came to know that the Audit was going on in the last week and the legal advisor's action was very lethargic, which in turn is due to the consequences between the builder and with him.

                                      I have also paid an initial token advance of Rs.75000/- to the builder and informed that the balance amount will be cleared from my end only on clearance of the legal papers. Builder having faith on me and hope that the loan will clear, the builder has completed most of the works in my booked flat (except the flooring, doors fixing and painting). As per today's latest conversation after our call with the coordinator and the builder, I heard that the legal advisor is taking the subject to the bank's committee tomorrow to clear the same. But, I am totally blurt in the picture and completely depend upon the words of the builder and the bank co-ordinator.

                                      Also, would like to know the basis on which the bank has confirmed and released the initial sanction letter after scrutinising of the documents.

                                      Having putforth all the details, could you please help me out by knowing what is happening at the bank's end and what is their actual issues or concerns in this regard.

                                      I had availed housing building loan from HDFC at the rate of 10.25%. Without informing me, they have increased the rates of interest and charged rate of interest of RS 14% .

                                      I would like to make you alert on few details regarding HDFC and other limited companies.

                                      HDFC LTD is a limited company and is not a banking institute.
                                      It is a self regulated financial organization and is not at all regulated as a refinancing institute or is not a Banking institute. Sales officers makes people fool by stating HDFC Home loan as part of banking division. Even interest rates charged by HDFC is very high which is increased in subsequent years.

                                      As such rates of interests for home loan are definitely regulated by RBI but limited and private companies do not fall under their per-view. These companies fall under company Act and not under Banking Act.

                                      At time of taking loan these companies promises low rates of interest and then increases rates of interest in subsequent years, which increases your burden of repayment in form of slow poison eating your lots of money.

                                      I will share my personal experience:

                                      I have a very bad experience with HDFC, My loan of 11 lac with tenure was only 20 years and was promised with 3% discounted rates for my loan account as the company with which I was working was a corporate client of HDFC, so my loan started at 7.25% rate of interest and a low EMI of 8595/- Rs only.

                                      In later stages HDFC revised rates of interest stating that my loan is on floating rates, where as no discounted rates are applied to my account. More on no reduction in rates are done at all even when rates of interest of other banks and institutes fall down. Even when they offer low interest rates to new customers – on my inquiry they asked for a proceeding fees of almost 12 thousand rupees to revise the rates of interest.
                                      My EMI is also revised to 10, 526/- Rs and the tenure is now increased. Today even after paying EMI for more then 6 years my tenure of repayment is more then 18 years and EMI is increased from 8695/- Rs per month to 10526/- Rs per month. So I will end up paying money to HDFC for more then 24 years.

                                      So I will end up paying four additional years with new EMI to HDFC which will make me a loss of almost 10-12 lac rupees.

                                      HDFC is offering new customer 8.25 rates of interest where as even when I am a old customer with corporate tie up with the company – I am charged almost 11% rates of interest and I am screwed up by paying more EMI.

                                      I have started legal proceedings against HDFC – and warn you all that dont take loan from HDFC other wise your people will also end up in soup and will have to pay huge for small things.

                                      REQUEST YOU ALL TO TAKE LOANS ONLY FROM BANKING INSTITUTES AND NOT FROM ANY LTD COMPANY--
                                      Ask following questions at time of taking loan.

                                      1.Is the company having word “Bank” in its name.
                                      2.If the company is refinancing company - take in written that – rates of interest in the company will be regulated as per RBI norms.
                                      3.Only those people whose files are not getting approved from banks and documents are not clear enough and are in need of loan should opt for such institutes, but mind it these ltd companies slowly increases rates of interest and eats away your lots of money charging high rates of interest.

                                      PLEASE NOTE – HDFC is a limited company and not a BANK. Only banking institutes or company with word “Bank” in its name are regulated by RBI.
                                      Before signing any document of ltd company please read the terms and conditions completely and take a lawyers advise if needed before going ahead to sign the same.

                                      Please disseminate this information to all your friends and relatives so that they are not cheated by any private company in case of loans / home loans.

                                      I have taken loan of 18, 000, 00 in 2009 @ 9.25 from HDFC. i have made repayment of 11 Lakhs as prepament and monthly EMI.Initial 1 year the intrest reate was maintaned at 9.25. but from Past one year every trice a month the intrest rates was increased by 0.5/0.75/1 and now the intrest rates have medt @ 11.5 and term has increased from 10 years to 12 years.HDFC is making the principal to remain like that and collecting the EMI monthly.why dont RBI or consumer court take proper action so that existing customers money is not looted.

                                      Wrong deduction of TDS from FD interest

                                      Sir i have fixed deposit in charkop branch of hdfc bank. i had submitted form 15H in time, still bank has debited 18.56% TDS from interest. Instead of my repeated request and E mails and letters Bank is not giving any reply.
