[Resolved] Akas Medical — Fraud by Supplier of medical monitor | |||
Respected Sir/ Madam, We bought a patient monitor from Mr. Sadanand Maddi, who is the distributor of medical monitors manufactured from Akas Medicals ( www.akasmedical.com).(20th Jan 2013). They have supplied the monitor which appears to be refurbished and they have refused to pay the bill, warranty card and the operative manual. on insisting on issue of warranty card they have issued a manual which does not contain any relevant information about the monitor or it does not contain any information of its manufacture. the company has failed to do any written communication, but has repeatedly sent their managers and executives to sort out. but the company says they do not print any warranty card or manual which is irrelevant and illogical. they took a deadline till april 10th for providing warranty card and necessary documentation to confirm the originality of the product and to prove that it is brand new not refurbished. they also promised to compensate for the losses incurred and also to pay the penalty which would be the double the amount of the cost of the monitor. The cheque was issued in the name of Mr. Sadanand Maddi Chq no. 007981 dated[protected] from Saraswat Bank , Club Road Hubli. Name of the Offender Mr. Sadanand Maddi Contractor Complex Shop no. 12 JC Nagar, Hubli Karnataka pin 580025 mob- [protected] Offnder Company: AKAS Medical No.240/1, Periya Colony, Athipet, Ambattur, Chennai - 600 058. yes this company akas medical equipment is a fraud company...they were buying monitor from contec (china medical equipment manufacturer) change it as akas traze model...this fraud company recruit fresh and experience engineers get their original certificates...make them to work as office boys...once if the employee is not interested in working there and want to get their original certificates they were reluctant to give them the original certificates...they won't give the experience certificate also...give one low salary...this akas medical equipment company is totally a fraud company run by two name Arun krishna and arjun sooraj...please don't join this company...

yes as he says this company is really a worst company...paying low salary for employee and getting their original degree certificates for giving jobs...
please freshers and experienced engineers please don't join akas medical equipments, chennai, ambattur...the owner of the company Arun Krishna and Arjun sooraj recruit fresh and experienced engineers get their original certificates pay very low salary, treat employees as office boys...when the employee wish himself to relieve from the company they were reluctant to give the original certificates surrendered and they won't give experience certificate also...as the employee couldnot get the experience certificate he will find difficult in getting other jobs...so fresh and experienced engineer be aware of this company...
engineers please do not join this company akas medical equipments run by owners arun krishna and arjun sooraj...this is one of the fraud company who use to recruit fresh and experienced engineers get their certificates for giving job...they wont treat you as employee...you will be treated as office boy...if you say that i wish to relieve from the company...they wont allow you to go and wont give the certificate that you surrendered...they will also tell you that they wont give you the experience certificate...

Thos who said that they r working for 7 years nd happy they all r jalraas of Akas Medical. this comp is really a worst company they dnt even any basic facilities for emplyess like AC in summer climate n no proper clean water. This is a company run by 2 brothers Mr. Arun Krishna (CTO) & Mr. Arjun Sooraj (CEO). Firstly, the so called CEO is the key brain behind all fraudulent actions and he drives the marketing and recruitment. Not all the products they manufacture have proper quality certification to be used in medical field.
As a job seeker especially in Engineering line you will be happy to visit their website and product list displayed in their website will be encouraging that too if you are a fresher. In reality you will be welcomed by the sight of a small gully that looks like leading to a slum area and on travelling about 300 feet a small building fairly ok from the front view. The so called HR department is a small shed with asbestos roofing and the people working (2 persons) don't even have any good HR qualification. So you will be made to sit in a the reception that has no fan even. After a long wait you will first this greedy devil who will give you a pep talk that his company and its greatness (which is all a lie).
On selection, you will be asked to sign an offer letter with the below mentioned tricks and evil snatches that you need to watch out for
1. Surrendering your educational certificates
2. You need to pay X amount if you leave the company before a said term (the amount & term varies from case to case).
3. You agree not to enlist for PF. However they pay you PF
4. You will not get relieving order/experience certificate if you leave within 2 years
5. Non entitlement for notice pay, experience certificate if you are terminated (contradicts Industrial Dispute Act stated in Indian Labor Law)
Reality of Work Place:
1. You get to sit under asbestos roofing which become unbearably hot during Chennai summers and leaky during rains
2. Most of the areas are so dusty and filled with cob webs everywhere
3. Almost everyday morning you will find rat faeces on the tables, certain seasons caterpillars crawl all over the place and after 6:30 p.m and during rainy season snakes can be spotted
4. Toilet facilities are worse than the public toilets
5. Drinking water supplied in cans are substandard and if you are lucky you might see worms in them before drinking it
Reality of Job Nature:
1. Engineers are under employed except for a few who do designing (to join that team there are extra conditions in the offer letter)
2. All you get to do is tightening screws in the cabinets
3. If you are a performer among the fools then you will get to click the products in sunlight with a cell phone camera and prepare a so called Catalogue and instruction manual
4. If you are in the marketing department or service department you should train yourself to be deaf as end users will abuse you due to poor product quality
5. There is no career path and no easy way out if you are a hardworking person. If you are half hearted they will terminate you and you will have wasted all your time with no experience certificate
Reality of Product Quality FOR BUYERS:
1. The products are so poor in quality that sometimes 18 out of 20 sold items have complaints in them. There are no replacements but promises to service the faulty products which takes sometimes a month to become operational
2. All the items are low end Chinese items and their calibrations are approximate not accurate
3. Cost of spares will be high and you have to depend on these frauds only as this is a Chinese low cost one with no similar or OEM spares readily available in the market
4. No costly spares are stocked. Meaning if a critical component fails you either have to wait for months or they will buy it for a scrap rate and sell you a costlier model which is also hopeless inside only the cabinet will look better
5. One mans defective equipment is refurbished and sold to another man as new product
They also use pirated software - Microsoft/Keil etc. On seeing such compaints online they request their loyal dogs who work for them to write positive comments instead of a minimal salary hike.
If you are job seeker you need to ask yourself if you are ready to forget your self respect and allowed to be treated like servants. If your heart says yes please join the company and have fun getting mistreated.
If you are a end user you need to rethink of your responsibility that you have as a hospital founder or as a doctor on your patients lives while using such substandard equipment on them.
By and large any association with AKAS Medical will make you a third class degraded citizen.

Feeling enthusiastic to be part of growing company like AKAS medical.Good training are given with well experienced engineers and freshers are given chances to prove their talent .This will be a proven space for Engineers with thrust to prove themselves.Comfortable management and work culture will be reward for employees.
I have worked for about 15 months and got relieved 1 year back from AKAS Medical. I did not experience any problem as explained by some posters here.
Yes the company has asbestos roof in some departments but not all. Many depts are clean and neat. It is ofcourse hot during summer and we managed with only fans. An A/c is definitely better, but we did not have one in our dept. Some depts enjoy with A/c. Lucky people.
I got relieved earlier than 2 years due to some personal needs, but I had got my relieving letter, experience letter etc. To my knowledge many those got relieved before me had also communicated that they have got everything.
The company is good in the sense that you learn a lot and it is improving and growing. I was working in R&D and lots of new products are developed in R&D. When I was working some monitors were chinese, but I was also a part of the R&D developing monitors and many other products.
The company has a good name in Pumps. Their Infusion and syringe pumps is good and they are in this manufacturing for more than 20 years. When I was there we celebrated the 20 years too.
On the whole my experience at AKAS Medical was good. We had cultural programs weekly one saturday and we had fun and entertainment.
I think this company is coming up very fast. If not for my personal needs, I would not have left the company.

I was in AKAS medical, and resigned 2 years back due to better opportunity. Assure that learning experience gained there gave me a confidence to next higher growth. Hi everyone, those who did bad performance in AKAS may say many negative points about AKAS & they don't have any other work now, so they continue their way. But AKAS is the place for performers. No matter if you are a fresher or experienced, if you perform you will get good growth in AKAS. Fresher can learn many things & grow up fast; the experience can implement their ideas & plan with the management support. In AKAS you can find work culture, freedom to work, carrier growth.
Products qualities are very good & they are manufacturing Pumps, Monitors, Ophthalmology products in their own. Most of the customers are happy about the product performance & quality.
