Hello, My name is Vishal B, i am from Vashi, Navi Mumbai. I signed up for a HT news paper one year subscription in their special scheme last year in Feb 2013. The cheque i gave them was cleared in Feb 2013 but my subscription started only in the first week of May 2013 that too after many email exchanges and phone calls. Since the subscription started in May 2013 ideally the subscription should end in May 2014, but my subscription was discontinued in Feb 2014. I have not been receiving newspaper since Feb 1st 2014. Despite several phone calls and emails i only get assurances that my subscription would start in 2-3 days and it never happened. I receive calls from HT for my service renewal all the time and also many marketing calls to upgrade my subscription to a higher one. They cant provide a basic service at satisfaction how can they expect upgrades. Even the customer care doesnt seems to respond now to my complaints. These people are simply getting the people to singup for a cheap subscriptions and later discontinuing it and asking them to either renew o[censored]pgrade to a higher value one. This is clearly a startegy to drag people and to make money. I request consumercomplaints to look into this and start help my subscription to resume back and also cover my losses for month of Feb 2014 and March 2014. Im also attaching the email chain that we exchanged during this course of my struggle with HT. Since last 20 years we have been reading HT. Last year I booked for HT Celebration Offer for HT+Mint w.e.f 30/6/2013 to 30/6/2014.As subscription started on 30/6/13 should ideally continue till 30/6/1014 but I am sorry to inform you that subscription has been discontinued since May 10 (Mint) and June 1st 2014 (HT). Next year subscription cheque has already been debited from my account. Vendor always says till how many days will you read Free HT. Please let me clear IS it a free Offer or advance payment has been made by the customer. Why HT is reluctant to tackle these problem. Despite several attempts to contact Mr Aman Circle in charge HT nothing has been done.
