[Resolved] Home Credit India Finance — nuisance calls and threat to my family | |||
Hi team, This is with reference to my consumer mobile loan with home credit. Due to some unforeseen circumstances i was unable to pay my emi of 2, 101/- which was due on the 2nd october. I told the customer service agent that i would try and pay the same by the 9th october. The very next day when i was in an official meeting with clients and the collection agents called me on my mobile multiple times. Since i had kept the phone on silent as any one would when in a meeting i missed their calls. I did not realise the calls are being made and then the collection agents decided to call up my mom on her mobile number and started questioning about non payment and being aggressive. They also threatened by saying that "humko maloom hai paise kaisa nikalna hai aur aapke ghar pe ladke bhejenge" this is very rude and unprofessional. My wife then said that she will lodge a police complaint if they continue to be aggressive or if someone comes at the doorstep. Since then the call stopped. However, they have created a mental torture for my mom and my wife. A emi delay of 8 days shouldn't trigger such collection calls in the first place. It is for sure that the debt collection agents have not gone through the approved and mandatory training as per the regulator’s guidelines (Rbi and trai). I will also take this up with ombudsman and file a complaint against home credit. Was this information helpful? | |||
