Dear Sir/Ma’am.
I, Oritra Banerjee reached out to Homelane for interior designing of our new home.

1. We had sent our flat layout by Whatsapp to the salesperson who introduced us to Nikita Sureka (designer). Without even visiting the property once she arrived at a total quote value of INR 780586.
2. We mentioned clearly that we were not yet ready to start the interiors work since the flat was not yet handed over to us and we need time to decide. Thus, we were introduced to Abhishek Roy (store manager) who told us that how he can make a discount of 25% bringing the quote amount done to INR 629528. and it was the last day of the sale. Even after we walked out, they kept calling us every 30 minutes to push the sale. Mr Abhishek was very sweet with his words and even told us that we can choose to change scope of the work for Homelane later if we decide.
3. We made a payment of INR 50000 (nearly 8% of the quote amount) and a team was assigned for the project.
4. After we got the handover of our flat, I was reading through the 6 pages terms and conditions and there were things that were never mentioned during the sales:
i. We were required to pay 100% of the expenses even before Homelane ships anything to our home.
ii. Minimum woodwork of 1.5 Lacs was mandatory
I was not comfortable with these and wanted to opt out of seeking service from Homelane.
5. Now started the harassment. It’s been over a month that I’m requesting cancellation and Homelane won’t just do it. Since I’ve already paid INR 50000 and Homelane is a big brand, they are arm-twisting me.
i. They tried to call and convince me which I denied to.
ii. They asked to meet and when the day of meeting arrived, they just backed out and asked for a new date.
iii. They do not reply to emails most of the time. A company that brags about customer satisfaction doesn’t even care to respond to email. This unprofessional behavior has been seen at all levels starting from:
a. Relationship Manager Mr Subhabrata Ghosh
b. Community manager Mr. Debabrata Kundu
c. Delivery manager Mr. Sarabjit Singh Walia
iv. Homelane support team will just close the complaint raised with no proper resolution.
v. Overall, it’s a sheer harassment I’m facing day in and day out from Homelane and All I feel now is hopelessness and desperation.
6. I’m seeking help to bring this harassment to a close and to get refund of the INR 50000 advance paid. Please note that I haven’t availed any service from Homelane whatsoever. They haven’t even visited the site once. Hence, I demand a refund of the INR 50000 paid as advance. I’m seeking justice.

Please take legal action against homelane. Without legal action they will not do do anything. You can lodge complaints, send legal notice or or even approach consumer court.
Something happened with me, i paid advance of 35k, in Jan/2023, the only meeting i had was on the day i paid advance later i kept asking them about quote for 10 days no response from them, meanwhile i got better deal with another deigning company and i asked Homelane to cancel the project and for refund, as they did not do any work, i started positing my experience in social media, they sent me email asking to remove all the social media post else they will file complain against me
