[Resolved] Homeshop18 — fraud case | |||
Hello, I am cynthia daniel from hyderabad, telangana. My mother has been a loyal customer of homeshop18 for the past 6-7 years. A very unfortunate thing has happened to us yesterday ie[protected]. On 30th, my mother received a call and a message from your company stating that on basis of being a loyal customer for such a long time, we are providing you a car or the cash amount of the car - 12, 40, 000 We did not believe it as usual. But that very evening, we saw the winners being gifted with the same exact thing on homeshop18. Now the next day, i googled for 'homeshop18 contact', and i clicked on the number provided on the website[protected]. That guy who spoke to me over the call told his name was mr. Ankith raj, and he followed the same procedure that the actual asaociates follow at homeshop18. He knew the minute minute details pertaining to us and the orders that we placed at your company, so there was no question we could doubt his identity. He did not ask any details of mine, but asked me to make 3 transactions stating the amount would be credited But alas, nothing happened. And it turned out to be a fraud. I am writing this email with regards to this critical issue. When the company knows that there are so many frauds going on, how do you'll allow someone to provide a fraud number on the company's website. I need a proper resolution to this situation as i have already spoke to so many of the company's associates and have also lodged a police complaint. Kindly request your involvement in this issue as it is very very important to me. Failing which, i would be forced to go for the resolution the legal way. Awaiting your response, Cynthia daniel. And we never ask our customers to deposit any money in an individual account. Would also like to inform you that we never share your information with any unauthorized external agencies/partners, and we have this issue being investigated through government agencies. Thanks for your prompt and useless update on the issue.
My question or ask here is not as to where the winners names are announced or if you'll ask to deposit amount in some individual bank account.
On that misfortune day, I contacted the person (who looted my money) through the number available on Google. ( I searched on Google with the search term - 'homeshop18 contact number)
Now, when you all are such a so-called e-commerce site, how can you allow such fraudsters to provide their number on google. Don't you'll have some kind of department that tracks such issues? When you guys have been receiving so many complaints about this issue, why the hell were you'll quiet.
I need an action taken in this case. I have lost 62, 300 INR to be precise.
PS: I wouldn't recommend the "Homeshop18" website for shopping to any of the people out there in India.
