[Resolved] Homeshop18 — Regarding disclosing my contact details | |||||
Respected Sir/Madam I want to register a complaint against HomeShop18 for disclosing my contact details. The matter is that I received a call form +91-[protected] on 19thMarch, 2017 form a person who claims that he was calling from HomeShop18 and I won a Tata Safari as I won first prize as a lucky winner. He told all details of the product which I ordered from HomeShop18 in past as well as my postal address and my mobile number, he also told me the address of HomeShop18’s office from which he was claiming to call. He told me to deposit Rs.12500.00 to claim the prize. He messaged me two numbers of his Senior Executive for further assistance, the number is[protected] & +91-[protected]. I know that he was a fraud so I didn’t trust him. But the main point is, this is not the first time I got a call like this. Before this may be on 17thFebruary 2017, I received same call like this from +91-[protected] claiming that I won a Tata Safari as I won first prize as a lucky winner and gave me an SBI account no 0012496-[protected] of Harnot branch on name of Vinay Prabhakar, to deposit Rs.12500 to claim the prize. He also gave me the number for further assistance,[protected]. I discuss this issue with HomeShop18 on Twitter and their customer care center and their Executive assure me that they will investigate this issue and assured me for the future. But yet the problem is not resolved as I received the same type of call. This is a major issue as customer’s details are not safe. I mean how anyone can know that which product I order on which date and my contact details as well. I also have audio recording of the call. Plzzz take some serious action against HomeShop18 as not only this is their fault but also that they are not talking it seriously as I earlier complaint about this issue. We are equally surprised and dismayed at how these calls or emails contain your Order details. We would request you not to fall prey to any fictitious offers / lottery winnings or Promotions through letters, e-mails, phone calls and SMS etc Please be informed we are not running such kind of activities.
