HomeTown — Non refund for cancelled product | |||||
I had ordered a hometown rover car single bed vide order no.[protected] and made an online payment. However, as the bed was priced much higher than actual price, i cancelled the order and as per their policy, it was cancelled within 24 hours. Also, i called customer care with in 12 hours to confirm the cancellation. The representative confirmed the cancellation and informed money would be credited back to my account with in 7-10 days. I kept following up with them for 15 days & they kept giving the same reply. On 16th day, the manager told two beds were booked with the same order id and only one was cancelled and other was in process and now could not be cancelled. I have mailed the screen shots on [protected]@hometown.in where in the order id it is very clearly mentioned that quantity was only 1. I have never placed second order itself. Hometown is unnecessarily forcing the product on me even though it is not yet shipped too after 16 days. I had taken a screen shot on the day of cancellation same is attached. Moreover the call centre staff is highly unprofessional and keep giving vague replies, they don't even know their supervisor's name. I am so much disappointed with hometown.in, that i had to initiate a consumer complaint on national consumer forum too. I have never ordered two beds, there might be a system mistake as everywhere quantity mentioned is one in the same order no. 1. If i would have placed two orders then the order id should have been different, which in this case is not. 2. If two beds were booked with same order no. Then quantity shown should have been 2, which is again not 2. 3. The manager kept telling that cancellation was auto cancellation, which was an utter lie. 4.in 16 days at least once, representative could have mentioned something like this, which they never did on repeated calls too. I donot wish to have any hometown product in my house as it will just remind me of this bitter experience and unprofessional-ism. On repeated requests too, they are not refunding the amount even though product is not yet shipped too to my destination. Was this information helpful? | |||||
