Honda 2 Wheelers India — non responsive honda 2 wheelers to customer complaints - bad quality of product - taking shelter under standard terms without analyzing the complaint | |||||
I purchased a unicorn 160 vide chassis no.: me4kc20 [protected] in the last week of oct 2017 from maansasrovar honda - velachery, chennai. First service was done as per the company's norms. In the first week of january 2018, i found speedo meter selector knob was missing. I took the bike to the service dealer where i bought the bike. They at the first instance said, that cannot be replaced, a bigger part to be replaced but on chargeable basis, not covered under warranty. Etc etc... When i insisted that it is a problem with bad workmanship or quality they said they will check with honda and revert. 2 weeks passed, i again went to the dealership, they said honda also rejected the claim to replace it under warranty but i can purchase the part. Helplessly i called their customer complaint call center no. They received the complaint, acknowledged the complaint via sms ([protected]). After two days i received a call from the dealership that it can be attended under warranty, i have to pay for the part/s. I emphasized that it is a pure quality problems and general warranty terms can't be applied. They turned deaf ears. I again called customer care. They again acknowledged, the story repeated several times. Now it was almost a month, i took the bike to dealership again and they said the part has arrived and they will fix it on chargeable basis. Without any option i accepted for the charges and left the bike in service center. Later may be more than 5-6 hrs, i called up the service center and i was shocked to receive a news that speedometer display is also damaged and i have to pay rs.6000/- to get it replaced. None of the discussions, dealership people talked anything technical. They only talked about warranty, charges, money etc. Once they have also closed the complaint that the speedometer is tampered! It is a clear case of honda's unfriendly service. Dealership dictating terms with customer, poor quality of assembly and above all of this audaciousness with a customer. It can also be a tact of dealership to make extra money by selling parts by hiding quality problems. I am extremely unhappy with the way honda deals with the quality problems and customer complaints. I just want a technical person from honda to call me, understand the problem and acknowledge. Not from dealership. Was this information helpful? | |||||
