We had paid an advance of Rs 300000/-Booking Advance to Housejoy in the month of June 20 for our house construction project.
The project has not taken off nothing happened at the ground level. We haven't signed any agreement. The coordinators kept quitting the company and not responding to our calls or email. When visited their office, they are chasing us out and treating us like a beggars. Im really depressed. not able to sleep thinking of my loss. please help me.

WE need the refund of Rs 300000/- paid
Somebody please respond immediately.

I signed up with them in Aug 2021(with sales) - biggest mistake of my life. And signed the initial agreement in Sep 2021.
My project cost was initially close to 72 lakhs.

They took close to 10.8 lakhs from me in the pretext of locking down steel prices(15% of the project cost). Not to mention innumerable blunders, they even measured my plot dimensions wrong and on correcting the plot measurements and redoing all the architectural work, the project value came down to 62 Lakhs!!

They wont even start with the extra money they got as the initial 15% advance. Apparently they will liquidate at end of project(which means, am not going to get it).

All the 2D, 3D plans had to be redone again and The project had not even hit the ground or a single person came to the site for the start of work until March 2022, at which point I wanted to terminate the contract.

After a while, all folks left the chat and company too probably because of non payment of salaries and all the e-mail addresses stopped working and house joy site gave a 404 not found error and now they are back with same excuse of Pandemic causing these complaints.

I want my money back and I want an NOC for future construction!

There is no response from construction team .. All emails are out of reach including relationship manager.. Worst service after paying money... If we connect to office in hsr layout Bangalore.. no one is available... Im freezed..

Housejoy.in has done cheating, we struggled a lot and still trauma is going on. They have collected 6.22 Lac for one project and 50k for another project. Now these people are giving reason that issue with vendor and asking as to repy once again to some local vendor.

Its been more than 7months, and no response. I've followed below steps to lodge complaint to Govt.

Housejoy is a company based in bangalore rendering the services for house construction

On 31st Dec I made a payment of 1.025 Lac by credit card and 1 lac each 2 post dated cheque for 7th and 14th of Jan 2022.

Till now I haven't received either reciept Or mail confirmation or any agreement.i had to cancel the plan of home construction with Housejoy for not getting any response.

I have mail confirmation of 100% refund of advance payment if cancelled before agreement.
Now Housejoy is not returning my money after many follow ups.

Pls help me to get refund

This is regarding order Ref. Id : [protected] .This was for TV installation . We already paid the money .
It was assigned to Faseeh ahmed ([protected]) . The technician never attended the order . never visited us . I have rescheduled the order 3 times . Now he blocked my number and completed the order in website .
The work is still not completed.
Please help me to get my money back .

We booked washroom renovation through housejoy but they whatever work they did, they didn't do it properly and they still left lot of work and are not completing the same

Hi have paid Rs. 5 lakh booking advance to Housejoy in September 2021 hoping that we will be able construct our house hassle free. The marketing guys gave all kind of assurance and made us to pay Rs. 5 lakhs.

After making the payment, the marketing person Manish stopped taking our calls and the project manager has sent a BOQ with many additional cost which were not told earlier. The additional cost were 4 times more than the market prices and when we raised this issue, they threatened that if we dont agree to this we will lose our booking advance.

We have escalated this with many people and since we did not got any positive response, we had to terminate the booking agreement and made request for cancellation and repayment of booking advance As per the agreement, if the customer is not satisfied, the advance is to be returned.

All the concerned person are either left the company or they are not taking our calls. This is clearly a bogus company where they collect the booking advance and they never return. We are planning to file police complaint if our advance money is not returned.

Overall Project cost is 19Lac, to build a small area and this guys have digged after 4months to collect additional amount and after this its going to be a month and left idle.

We Paid 1 Lac on 21st Nov 2021
Again Paid 3Lac on 27th November 2021
Again we Paid Rs.2.25Lac on 31st Jan
And paid 25k on 10th Feb

From Nov till dats its been 4 months, and they have just digged the plot left idle. And now making us run behind them for no reason.

We have took amount on interest and torcher given by Housejoy.in make me feel to kill myself. That i was trapped with this guys.

Anyone other victims please do contact, we have to unite an fight this we cant fight alone.

Because it's really mental torcher and financial loss and making our daily life hell and we are not bale to concentrate on our daily work life.

Hi Sir/ma'am,

I have given 5 lakh of amount to house joy but they are not doing anything for taking money simply they have started work but now not doing anything.
If I call them they will not respond.
My project value is around 15l where I have already paid 5l but still they are not doing anything.

Please help me to get my money back or my work done ASAP.

We have gave contract to HJ for post payment scheme and sales person has informed us it will all go as per client wish .Day by Day process and everything has been changed and from 3 lakh they have took 15per of BOQ amount from us and everytime they won't send materials on time and they won't consider if we buy online .But sales person told, we can buy materials anywhere we wish in local .

As process changed they keep on asking money before and from 72 hours they changed to months and in final we didn't get any materials to site even after paying money to them with lot of mails .

Now they have stopped work as we didn't paid still more where we don't have trust to pay even single rs .

I need to complaint of HJ for my money .even non refundable in 3lakh still no response on other amount .

They only contact us when they money and it was good for 3months and they showed my project to many client and took advance and left mine and others tooo .

Housejoy gave me exageratted rough bill for the whateverwork done along with GST amount.

When I demanded the GST bill, they gave GST Invoice as advance payment of 50% whatever paid.

I demanded full GST bill, from that day onwards they have stopped answering the call and responding to the mails.

This shows how much of tax they have evaded.

Also I got the valuation done by Chartered valuation agency, the cost of completion is just 40% of the amount they claimed.

Now they are not refunding the money.
Also as I heard from their employees, they are not paying salaries also. The company might have become bankrupt.

If you want to make ur life hell give construction project to housejoy they will take all money & then they will not respond no cAlls no update no house completetion with your money they will be in joy .Same thing happening with me from last 2 years for 25*35 site G+1 i am struggling, completly dipressed .

We paid a booking advance of 3 Lacs to Housejoy for construction in june 2020.
But so far nothing has been done.They haven't even visited our site.
They are refusing refund of the booking advance.

Hey guys, don't go for any bookings with house joy. They're cheating. Without providing any services ask me to select service and pay. My self paid n waited whole day no one came for service. They didn't return my money. When called for money guys abusing bad words. I'm depression.

I have paid full amount to Houseboy in multiple installments with last installment being on 02-Sep-2021.

2 of my work is pending :
1. Living Balcony glass
2. Exhaust fans in bathroom

Inspite of repeated reminders since past 2 and half months, I find no action.
My work was supposed to be completed on Sep-15-2021 and today it is not done standing on 24-Nov-2021.
I am highly dissatisfied and frustrated with this service. I need a compensation of 5 lac for work not being done on time and the mental torture I had on spending numerous phone calls and sending sms and email to housejoy with 0 response.

I have signed an agreement with you guys for first floor construction, its been more than 4 months I have paid you guys more then 9 lacs till now only stab is constructed. I have paid money for brick work on 28th Oct still material is not received or work is not resumed. I need all my money back or resume the work asap. This is so frustrating

It's been almost a 2 year i am following for my money. They changed dates almost 126 times, they are changing the dates and sending mails from last 2 year.. it's almost 126 times changed the dates. In 2 installments i was supposed to get my money as per agreement. I need to get 6, 06, 000/- rupees, for almost 1 year I received only 25000/- still a huge amount is pending. No one is responding properly still waiting for huge can anyone help me here.

I have cancelled my project for construction after paying advance 2 lakhs, i have informed it is refundable before initiating the cancell, after i cancelled they are saying it is non refundable.

no one is responsible person including CEO of company.
