Housing.com — Allows Fraud posts and promotions

HOUSING.COM IS A FRAUD WHICH ALLOWS POSTING AND PROMOTE FRAUD OWNERS AND AGENTS TO POST FAKE IMAGES AND FAKE POSTINGS.
Incident happened - august 23 to aug 25 2022

I was looking for a property to rent in Andheri West, Mumbai. I came across a post of a property and If I need to contact the owner, then you gotta buy a plan. So, I purchased a plan on housing.com to get the contacts of the property owner and the agents. So, I got the number and name of that owner and called him.

I said Is this apartment available? and he said yes and can show me the apartment too.

The Next day he called and said he is in Delhi and he will be coming the next day. So I said ok. Then after some time he called and said he might not be coming back and may have postponed the flight to the next following day. He said he is getting a lot of calls and people are ready to finalise with him after seeing those apartment pictures. I said ok, and I said let me see the apartment and I can finalise it after I like it. He called again and said if you wanna finalise the property you can send me some token and He will refund the money If I don't like it.

I said ok, but then he said you will definitely like it and let me draft an agreement. He asked for a full month's rent to get the agreement started and asked me to come the following day to the apartment to finalise the deal. I did send money as he seemed genuine to me.

As he brings his fake pregnant wife in between our phone conversations.

So on the day we were supposed to meet, I called and he didn't answer the call and started deleting his chat sent to me on whatsapp. I called him so many times on the phone and on whatsapp calling. But he didn’t answer and his phone started going to a busy line. Then I went the apartment building and talked to the Gate Guard. The guard said so many people have come to inquire about this apartment. But THERE IS NO APARTMENT LIKE THIS AND THE PERSON IS NOT REAL.

I took measures with my bank and reported a cybercrime. I believe if that person has done fraud with me, then there must be more people in the same boat. Strict action will be taken as I have shared the info - the person’s name and contact info to respected authorities. I hope to receive a refund back
