Housing.com — Fake owner and brokers listed

I wanted to check an apartment near Karthik Nagar, Bengaluru.
I called the owners number which was provided on the site
He mentions too many people are interested in the apartment and wanted me to transfer Rs. 500 so that he will hold the apartment till i have seen. And if I'm not interested after checking it out, he would refund the money.

I bargained and transferred the 200 instead..which he agreed to, and then he says he needs more money so that he can generate proper receipt .

I paid 300 again (now total 500), he again says he couldn't generate receipt blah blah and asks more money... Now I say that I'm not interested anymore and ask him to refund my 500 back ..since I didn't even get to check out the flat in the first place. He just keeps giving reasons that he can't transfer back my money, and he wants me to transfer 500 more instead, and that he would refund all my money...like what now??

Anyways I cut the call, lost my 500 bucks since he refused to refund me (cuz he obviously a scammer) ...
