Hi
I have HP Pavilion a6640IN, bought on 22 Dec 08. This is under 3 year warranty.

Complaint # CA0876564, 3-Dec09.
Complaint # CA0879485 9-Dec-09
Complaint # CA0882518 16-Dec-09

The PC crashed on 3-Dec-09 and was diagnoised for RAM problem. It was replaced, and worked for 1 day. Again PC crashed and was diagnoised for motherboard problem. Replaced it and again it crashed after 1 day. Again they replaced both RAM and motherboard, formatted my system and again after 1 day, it crashed.

Finally they said they need to replace the processor. I was not OK with this option since they said it will take 2 days.

This brought my hopes down that it may not work even after replacing processor.

For each compoennt replacement, I was made to wait 2 days to get replacement part from Chennai and wait at home for the engineer to come and replace.

Like this, I have wasted 2 weeks and issue is still not fixed.

On contacting HP, for replacement of the defective unit (since recurrent replacements of parts didnt work), they said they cannot replace the unit - though the warranty says it can be replaced:

Though my unit failed repeatedly inspite of changing various parts, HP is not ready for this option.

I am not sure how long they will take to resolve this issue. Even if I agree for part replacement, I am not sure how many hours (<24 hours) PC will work.

Motherboard — did not supporting RAM

I purchased intel D945GCCR // BTCR71100GTZ AA D[protected] motherboard on 21/11/07 from HIMALAYAN TIMES PVT.LTD ,412A ,Forth Floor ,Chiranjiv Tower, Nehru place, New Delhi-19, Tel +[protected]. It is in warrenty priod, I have RAM NOT SUPPORTING problem with this motherboard, as per instruction from diler I mail [protected]@mailbox.intel for warrenty. they reply it, with

    Sir,
    This is to inform you that on 05/03/2009 I bought a Laptop from VINAYAK MULTISOLUTION (NAGAON/ASSAM) INDIA. But unfortunately inthe month of june'09 ther was a LCD screen leaking problem devoloped. In this way I within nine month I had to send my laptop to the service station four time(4) with other type of problem also. Now recently same LCD problem arrises.
    So, I requested to the service centre to replace my laptop with a new one but they have denyed. Therefore I would like to say, please take the appropiate step to replace the laptop within this December'09 otherwise I have no other option to go to the CONSUMER FORUM.

      We had purchased a Eprinter Model No. HP Officejet 6500 e710n-z two weeks ago for office use. The technical person of the dealer had visited our office and installed the eprinter, made settings to print. After few days, we have found that, there was printing problem with the printer. Soon after we choose print command, we never get printouts immediately. In this regard, we have called the person who had supplied the printer to set right the problem several times, he didn`t respon. Therefore, we request you to send your technical personnel to set right the problem immediately.

        I kushal thadani want to state that since 17th of nov , I hav given my laptop for replacing dvd writer which comes under warranty period.but till now it has not been replaced.
        My friend provided the lappy for the same and his was done within a week ....
        why this is happening .lalani computech is the service centre where i gave my laptop.. please do somthing if something can be done

          Dear Sir,
          I have purchased a HP DV6-1152TX model laptop from S.A INFOSYS Bhubaneswar on18 th of september 2009 now I am facing battery problem,some times it shows that pluggedin charging and maximum time it not charging and the icon shows that pluggedin-notcharging at that time HP battery check recomends to replace the battery, when I have complained in S.A-INFOSYS they send me HP sevice center Lalani Computech Ltd.Bhubaneswar, when I told them about my battery problem they refused me to give me service and also misbeheaved me.

          HP Laptop — charger problem & battery problem

          I also have same model and faced same problem and still facing as HP didnt provided me service at all.
          My laptops battery from starting only giving backup of only 45 minutes but they never heard my complaint.

          sir i am using hppavilion dv61152tx notebook. why the windows7 os not applicable for my lap? i cant use my lap with this os... when i switch on my lap ,i can work just 5 to 10 mins .after that lap i cant refresh even.it takes 5 mins.finally i want to switch off only..plz i want to know the reason wt problem in my lap orelse say which os suits dis lap??????? i am expecting to solve my problem from ur replay......

            This is for your kind information that, I’ve purchased one Compaq Desktop (SN: INA84703R2) with redemption offer on 30-dec-2008 for my brother namely MR. SUBHAJIT PAUL. On last week of April -09, I received the HP ALL-IN-ONE PRINTER 4288 without the UPS through OVERNITE EXPRESS.             Then I contacted OVERNITE EXPRESS Chandannagar (Hooghly) office and asked them for the consignment and I was told that nothing had been received for the Docket Number[protected] and as soon as the consignment would come I will be informed accordingly. But did not found any response for one month long.

            After waiting for a month, I again contacted to HP redemption cell over Ph no.[protected] and I was told that the issue would be fixed within a very short time and I’d be informed accordingly. On[protected] I’ve contacted OVERNITE EXPRESS, Kolkata, and have been told that nothing had been received for the Docket Number[protected] and I’m requested to contact with HP redemption support for this issue.

            On 9/12/09 I again contacted HP redemption cell over Ph no.[protected] and I was told that they verified the docket no. [protected] with OVERNITE EXPRESS Chandigarh, and they are telling the consignment was received on May-09 by Mr. S Paul. Then I again contacted OVERNITE EXPRESS kolkata they are telling the issue is more than three month old, why I have not contacted earlier, now they can’t help me any more. Then I told them I was continuously contacting with HP redemption cell as well as OVERNITE EXPRESS. After a lot of argument they gave me the email address of manger of OE Kolkata and asked me to write details to the mail address and also told me that he is the only person who can help me. Then I sent an email to OE Kolkata & OE head office ([protected]@kol.overnite-mail.com, [protected]@overnite-mail.com) but till today I have not get any reply. Today I again contacted OE Kolkata and talked to Mr.Arindam (Manager) regarding the issue and also asked for the reply of the mail. He refuse to reply the email and told me the issue is more than six month old so he can’t help me out I should contact HP redemption cell only. After that I contacted Ms. Payel of HP over Ph No. [protected] and tel her regarding the issue and also asked that this is a long pending issue I am suffering for ten months. Already I have send two mail in your Email Section. There is no option for direct email. So always I send the mail via your Email Section, which is very much irritating and also I can’t have any proof except the ticket Ids KFI881306 & YFG181627. You don’t bother to give any update reply except auto reply, so how could I get the updates of the issue? Then she gave me a direct email address ([protected]@innovativemail.in). Then I asked her, when I contact to HP redemption cell I am told The consignment has been send and the same was received by Mr. S paul and I when I contact to OVERNITE EXPRESS I am told the issue is six month old, they are not answerable to me for the issue. Now I don’t understand where should I go for the issue.
            I would like to say you that there is something wrong, the consignment may be delivered anywhere else (There are many S Paul in India).

            Now this is too much. I am sorry to say if the issue could not be fixed in very short time I will file a complaint with the Consumer Court as I am protected under the Consumer Protection Act of 1986 and in which the irresponsible approach form your side will be highlighted. Apart from that, it causes a tremendous anxiety and mental agony and heavy expenses due to phone call.

            In this circumstance, I’d request you to intervene into the matter and I’ll be obliged if you resolve the issue as early as possible.

              Dear Customer Care,

              I regret to inform you that I recently had a negative experience with HP Customer Support in regards logged a complaint on 4 December 2009 & the case ID CA0878480 (S.No.-3CQ9331JQF). After complaint logged the hp engineer diagnosed and confirm i.e., the 23" tft has problem and it should be replace with new tft. After that we follow up regularly as i was not getting sensible answers just got the answer only that thay had already forward the complaint towards the service centre.

              when we contact at service center never find any good respose from the center regarding the logged case Id and neither find what was happening? As since then TFT has not been received and without TFT the system is no mean for us, using as show piece.

              Now my client (Proff. N J RAJU-Mobile no. [protected]) had very annoyed with us and wants registered a file case against HP just because of your most valuable & good services.
              In all the years I've ever dealt with technical customer service, I would have to say that HP is the worst!

              Despite repeated reminders, I have not had any response from the HP. I would appreciate your help in resolving this issue.

              At this time, I am very displeased and unsatisfied with HP Support. Though I am upset, I hope we can work together to change that.

                I have purchase after a log verification one Note Book of HP seeing its reputation at a cost of Rs 35000/- when others Like HCL & Acer with same configuration supplying with a cheaper price.
                Details of Laptop:

                Purchase Date : 24.12.2008

                Ist complaint on of Automatic Switched off on Dt. 26.01.2009.
                Then it handed over to your service centre at Haldwani by 28.01.2009.
                Complain ID-[protected] Dt. 03.02.2009, As per service centre mother Board problem changed.( Return back the Laptop after one month on 08th March 09)

                2nd complaint Heating Issue after a month.( It has been log late as I was not out of Station for one Month)
                Complain ID-[protected] Dt. 14.04.2009 , fan changed.( Received after 15 days)

                3rd complaint same heating issue & LCD problem on 29.05.09 complaint ID-[protected] . Changed LCD & Fan again.(Received after 15 days)

                4th Complaint (11.08.09) switched off automatically complaint ID-[protected] Dt. 17.08.09
                ID-[protected] Dt. 24.08.09
                ID-[protected] Dt. 26.08.09

                Returned back after one & half month on the Month of Oct 09.

                Again I am getting same switched off problem from last 2 days.

                From the above you can come to know how many days the Laptop in Use and how many days under repairing.

                My warranty will be expire on 23.12.2009.

                Pl suggest for the proper rules & regulation.

                i buy HP 540 laptop and i am searching for user guide of this laptop for last two weeks on net but i have not found any so far.one of my friend has dell laptop and it has user guide of 300 pages on that and so he know from that user guide he know specs and beside that about all parts of his dell laptop.i request you to let me know if HP has any user guide for hp 540?if so then please let me know so download

                  I HAVE PURCHASED HP PRINTER MODEL NO. M1005 IN APRIL 2009 AND WAS SUPPOSED TO GET AN ADDITONAL TONNER FROM HP REDUMPTION CELL.
                  MY REDUMPTION CODE IS "XP66XLJK9Z"
                  DESPITE OF REPEATED CALL TO THE REDUMPTION CELL I COULDN'T GET THE ADDITIONAL TONNER BUT WAS RECEIVING AN ASSURANCE TO GET IT SOON AS IT IS OUT OF STOCK.
                  I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND THE DEALING OF SUCH A BIG CO. THAT IT CAN NOT FULFILL ITS COMMITMENT IN NINE BIG MONTHS.

                    I had purchased HP Pavallion Laptop (DV6-1152TX) on 20th September 2009 that time HP was giving Philips Music Player worth Rs.3999/- at Rs 1299/- under Student Promotional offer. I had sent all the necessary document including cheque to HP Redemption Support,Chandigarh within a week of my purchase.Also, my claim has been approved by their end.It was written on site product will be delivered to you within 14 business days but already nearly two and half months has been past but they have not dispatched me the misic player till date. Also It is very difficult to call customer care as it says "please stay on line" but nobody answers the call till end. After trying again and again sometime we are able to talk them but they always say your claim has been approved and music player will be dispatched by tommorrow. From last 10-12 days they are saying the same thing but they are not delivering it.

                      It is a big shame for the HP co. to have sucha fail service providers (redington) for their customers. It has been over one month I am facing the same issue with my home pc (a6130in), when I call up in HP call center I get a response like there is something wrong with the BIOS settings, when the service center engineer visits, they just change the Hard drive, do the recovery and issue still persists after using it for 1 or 2 hours, the screen goes blank and nothing works and multi times they have changed mother boards,, HDD, smps etc no one has understood the exact issue? Are they really that dumb? The illiterate engineers don’t even visit on time as they commit. HP is a fail brand with no respect for their customers.

                          I havent received my pf amout since 3 years, I applied for amount refund since 1 year . i was working for Celstream and now I had requested for my PF amount to get transferred to my new PF Account which has not happened and even requested to transfer it to my Savings Bank Account.

                          No one is taking responsibilty at Richmond Circle, Bangalore PF Office .

                            I HAD PURCHASED A COMPAQ CQ-45 106AU LAPTOP IN 24-NOV-2008 , PRODUCT NO :- FR754PA#ACJ , SERIAL NO :- CND8400KQC , WITH WINDOW VISTA PRELOADED BY THE HP COMPANY. BUT AFTER USING SOME MONTHS , I FOUND THAT IT HAS A SERIOUS PROBLEM OF RESTARTING

AFTER DISCUSSING THE ISSUE & TESTING MY LAPTOP ACCORDING TO THIER SUGGESTION , FINALLY THEY TOLD ME TO TAKE MY LAPTOP TO SERVICE CENTRE ON THE GIVEN ADDRESS ( R.T OUTSOURCING SERVICES LTD , SCO[protected] , 3RD FLOOR , SECTOR -34A , CHANDIGARH).
                            SO FINALLY AFTER TESTING MY LAPTOP 1 OR 2 DAYS BY THE SERVICE CENTER, JOB CARD WAS MADE & I WAS TOLD THAT , IT IS A MOTHERBOARD PROBLEM . SO FINALLY JOB CARD WAS MADE ON 4-NOV-09 & MOTHERBOARD WAS ORDERED , SO MY LAPTOP MOTHERBOARD WAS REPLACED ON 30-NOV-09. THE QUALITY OF WORK WAS VERY POOR ALL JOINT OF LAPTOP WAS BADLY OPENED BY SCREW DRIVER. THE MAIN PROBLEM ARISE WHEN AFTER THEY HAVE REPLACED THE MOTHERBOARD & HAND OVER THE LAPTOP TO ME SAYING IT IS 100 % OK NOW . WHEN I TESTED IT FOR 5 MINUTES SAME PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. THAN THE SERVICE CENTRE ENGINEER SAYS THAT IT IS NOT A HARDWARE ISSUE , IT IS A WINDOW PROBLEM. BUT AFTER DOING RECOVERY FROM THE DISK MANY TIMES. FINALLY THEY REPLACED EACH & EVERYTHING IN THE LAPTOP I.E IS PROCESSOR , RAM , HARDDISK, POWER SUPPLY.BUT THE PROBLEM STILL REMAINS , NOW COMPUTER LOOKS LIKE CRAB . MY CASE IS REGISTER ONLINE IN OCTOBER & STARTED IN PROCESS IN SERVICE CENTER IN NOV STARTING & NOW ITS 5TH DECEMBER , IT IS STILL IN PROCESS , I AM STUCK WITH THE BAD MANUFACTURING MACHINE & BAD SERVICE OF HP. I AM SACRIFICING WITH MY WORK I CANNOT GO TO SERVICE CENTER DAILY AS THEY MOSTLY DOES NOT PICK THE CALL . SO ITS MY REQUEST TO CONSUMER COURT KINDLY LOOK INTOTHE MATTER & I WANT THE COMPLETE NEW REPLACEMENT . IT IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. I AM ATTACHING THE SACN COPY OF JOB CARDS ALSO .

                              I have purchased a laptop which i have not used hardly. the laptop is heating up the day one.
                              after 1 year of service my laptop doisplay has gone. when i show it to HP service agent they told that mother board has gone to replace this one they quote around 50% of laptop price.

                              Hewlett Packard — unfair practice

                              Dear Sir,

                              I purchased a HP make Printer/scanner/copier from M/s CROMA in Crown Interiors Mall recently

                              (3.11.10). The printer was offered with a free black cartridge worth Rs 499.


                              However to my surprise I found that the original black cartridge supplied wih the printed lasted only for

                              a few pages only and I had to change it with the " FREE" cartridge immediately.


                              Now this an extremely unfair practise


                              M/s HP/India or M/s Croma should have informed the customer that the price of the printer does not include the cartridge or that the cartidge that comes along with the printer will be having low level ink.

                              Instead they are hoodwinking the customer to believe that they are supplying a "FREE" cartridge.

                                This is to inform that my HP Compaq notebook whos speaker had malfunctioned has not been rectified since Oct 14 2009 till date. They dont provide any information about the progress of repairing and keep on post-ponding the date for repairing the pc.
                                Please help me getting my pc fixed , I have wasted more than Rs.50 in calling them , Rs.100 in traveling to their service centre(4 times) and lots of valuable hours (2.5 hr per trip).

                                i mr t.gopinath, from kota village, nellore district, andhra pradash, south india, india.i purchased hp ljp1007/cc365a, serial number vnen107588 printer froms.s.systems-nellore, cost of rs6, 100/- with one year warranty, on 23rd april 2010.i take nearly 430 prints from the printer.after that prints are not clear.i talk to my dealer .he said to open the top door and remove cortiage, shake well the cortiage, and inshurt the cortiage, close the door and then to take prints.i try to open the top door, the door opend but top door right side link was broken.i take the printer to the service center nellore .
                                the engineer told me, this is physically damaged.i did nothing except opening the top door.he used forsips and told to do the same thing every time when it gave trouble.But i told the engineer to arrange spare part i will pay the cost of the part.he told it is not possible, spare part not avilable from company.i think its not physical damaged, it is weakly moulded.i purchased the printer for cost of rs.6100/-i want to use the printer.i will pay the cost of spare part, please arrange it.It is not convincble to say it is useless when it is that much costs.
                                please arrange the spare part to use the printer. my friends advise to me purchage canon printer ido not accept it .i purchaged hp printer.service center emploees told me, you take your printer, its a physical damage, i cont do any thing.i told the engineer, sir please ready to use our printer.they have not acccept it, he said, i will put a police case on you, and throu out your printer to street.your staff talk with me too ugly. sir i does not want new printer, i want to ready to use our printer, i pay the cost.sir please, i pray to you, i am too poor, please ready to use our printer.

                                  I have purchased Compaq 610 laptop no CNU9382WWM from M/s Cost to Cost Computers, Nehru place, New Delhi (India) on October 29, 2009. The dealer handed over me the packed laptop and didn’t checked before me. The Laptop started malfunctioning in display on second day of buying itself. I telephoned the dealer, he called me at his shop, that is 15 km away from my place. There he asked me to go to HP Service centre that is again far away place from the shop. I had produced my laptop to HP service centre on November 14, 2009. They told me that I will get the repaired laptop after 2-3 days. About 20 days are already over, so far I didn’t get my laptop back. Every time on enquiring I get the reply that, “the part for replacement is awaited whenever it will be received you will get the laptop". As a fare practice they must have replace the Laptop being the manufacturing defect.

                                  hp computers — NEW LAPTOP BREAKDOWN

                                  I have purchased a HP Compaq laptop Model No. CMQ NB CQ40-601TU, S/No.CND9362VRD, Invoice No. JR09-01589, on 1st Nov-09 from HP retailer ( COMNET VISION INDIA PVT.LTD.) Distt. Centre Janakpuri New Delhi, and after just 1 week of purchasing it is not working, its not even switching on.
                                  i tried to contact retailer, service centre and HP customer care centre but they are not answering properly about this fault.

                                    I have been defrauded by HP (Hewlett Packard) and its Indian outsourcing unit SIMTECH Computers, first they took money in the name of warranty extension in October (24/10/09)and till date I haven’t received that warranty extension letter(that supposedly should have been granted to me in 20 working days)... despite of several rounds of follow ups over the phone and in person visits. The employees there are big time liars, HP call center executives have nothing to do with post purchase relationships.
                                    And now when my laptop has some motherboard issues, they have sent me an estimate of Rs. 17000. To add more, the reckless customers executives there had confirmed that the entire expenses would be covered under the warranty card (given the fact that my warranty card has been processed and it’s on the final round) and I will not be charged for that. As well as, they'll be sending me the warranty extension letter by Monday (30/11/09), which again i have not received and as usual they are still lying to me... there's not even a single person who takes the responsibility.

                                    I am doing MBA in Mumbai and have my final exams starting from 12 December... I requested them to kindly fix the problem at the earliest, but as usual they are least bothered about customers problems what they care about is monetary gains.

                                    Please help!

                                    Same in my case...They are charging me 22000 for m, y LCD but the thing is my LCD is working crystal clear and only the hinge has come out a little...still the blood suckers are trying to rip me off...and I being a engg student am unable to pay such a big amount of money for their personal expenses...

There were a company offer that, with a compaq desktop, one UPS & All in one printer is free, provided, Rs:999 has to be sent to Incentives &Events Pvt Ltd. Chandigar.                                         I bought HP laptop (dv 6735 ee) for Rs. 55,000 and after using for less than 2 years, the Laptop stopped working permanently. I gave the laptop to the HP authorised service centre at Dadar branch (SIM Tech). However, as per their opinion the system board mother board need to be replaced in the laptop. !!

                                        So, I have to again shell out 50% of the cost of the laptop to just replace motherboard. If the mother board is to be replaced in just 19 months, it means the HP laptop quality is poor quality.

                                        I was reading the blog on the net and was shocked that the HP customers are facing the same problems. The HP USA technical officer has admitted (reply on my email) that the laptop fan inside is faulty. I request you to spend some time reading the blog.

                                        Incidentally, I came across with one of MBA student in SIM tech. He was claiming 120 out of 150 HP laptops are not in working condition less than 2 years of purchase.

                                        I am indeed disappointed with the product and services of the HP. The service centre charged Rs. 300 to diagnose the problem in the laptop.!! It is more than the fees charged by the general physician.!!! If you are in my place do you pay Rs. 300? Pl. let me know your frank opinion.

                                        I am not going to recommend the HP laptop to anyone. I think HP is fooling people by selling poor quality laptops.I think I need to go to consumer court. I have faced lots of mental harassement in this process. I am really fad up with the HP laptop and services. I know you are going to keep my email in the corner as you are of thick skin HP officers.

                                        and now they are saying there is no warranty also.

                                        i thought of shelling out 5k for warranty and 18k for motherboard so i can stay in peace with my laptop for at least an year but warranty is not an option.

                                        so is it worth paying 18k for motherboard with only 90day warranty?
