Complaint about fraudulent charges during flight booking at goibibo. On the last page of payment the website displays the amount as Rs.98, 130 (screenshot attached). After putting in the card details/netbanking details and clicking on "Pay Securely", the consumer is taken to the bank gateway, where they are displaying a different amount Rs.1, 00, 130 (screenshot attached). A difference of Rs.2000!
When confonted over email with GoIbibo, they are trying to defend this by saying we cannot appy GoCash and PromoCode in a single booking. Fine! But does that entitle them to change the price AFTER consumer exists their website and reaches the payment gateway? If this is their plea, they should reflect the correct amount BEFORE clicking on "Pay Securely" button.

    Its been more than 20 days i keep calling for the refund of my bookings, PNR : 5QKNJ9 and OZ9LD5, Goibibo executives are not able to resolve my refund issue. Every time i have to call and explain same issue.And every time i call, i get a different refund amount and that to it gets reduced.

    I have booed a flight from mumbai - delhi and delhi - mumbai, then i reschedule my mumbai - delhi flight and finally after 2 days then i called up the Goibiob to confirm all the cancellation amount and total refund amount after cancellation . And they conveyed that i will get total Rs. 4300 will be refunded in my account. Till now only Rs.940 is refunded in my account, Still they don have any clarification for remaining refund amount.

    I paid more than Rs 10, 000 in total for mum - delhi and delhi - mumbai flight and once confirmed begore cancelling this flight your executives said i will get Rs.4300 after all the deductions, And now after cancellations they have processed only 940+440 =Rs 1380 .What kind of calculation is this, this is how you make money, I thought you take commissions ?

      Dear sir,

      The rooms provided by hotel regency were very very dirty & unsafe. Sieling is week & can be foul at any time.

      How goibibo can tie up with such non standard hotels & keep customers in life risk.

      We have came from mumbai. Hotel at trivandrum, thekkady booked through goibibo were very nice

      We can't keep our life in risk. We want to cancel the booking & need full amount refund on immediately.

        Tried to book a domestic flight on may 9, 2017 - amount of rs. 8, 983 got debited to my bank but the goibibo website showed that booking was unsuccessful.

        On may 11, 2017; i got following mail from [protected]@payu.in

          Go cash can be used for any booking upto 8% or 750 whichever is lower. But when I tried to book, they said Go cash cannot be used for my booking as it is a internal condition that it cannot be used for few airlines. It is no where mentioned in the terms and conditions. Request you not to get fooled by the misleading advertisements and fraudulent offers.

            Hi,

            I booked a hotel for 1-night duration in Delhi - Hauz Khas named Marigold BNB for May 13'2017. The booking was done 2 days prior to my travel plan on May 11'2017.
            When I reached to the specified hotel for check-in purposes, found out to my utter surprise that hotel had already been closed 1 month back. There was no trace of that hotel. Tried reaching hotel management staff and didn't received any response.

            After that I tried contacting goibibo customer support, but didn't receive any favorable response on time. It was after that I managed to book my stay elsewhere(Hotel Oscar, Hauz Khas, Delhi), I received message from goibibo that they are willing to shift me to another hotel.

            After that they informed me that they are willing to refund my booking amount(2454 INR), but it was after when I booked another hotel at an expanded cost.

            I was on an official visit, and due to all this mess I was not able to attend an important meeting with my clients.

            I would like to register a complaint about this issue, because goibibo committed a fraud - booked a hotel that was already closed.

            As per my recent discussion with goibibo, they have processed my refund, but I would require extra compensation(3600 INR) from them regarding the another hotel booking (Hotel Oscar), which I had to do as I didn't had any choice. This is due to goibibo mismanagement and mistake that I had to face this harassment.

            I have attached the booking details for the hotel that goibibo booked for me (Hotel Marigold BNB, Booking ID-HTLHDWLMYL) and the hotel that I booked on my own (Hotel Oscar).

            Please let me know in case any additional info is required.

                This is regarding a severe complaint that I have to file for a case which happened to me recently while coming back from kuala Lumpur. I had booked a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Hyd (09/05/2017) via Singapore with the same PNR number. It was a transit flight through Singapore through Tiger Airways. But while returning when I reached airport, the airways people didn't allow me to board the flight as they were saying that there is no layover in Singapore and they are separate flights for which I was asked for singapore visa which obviously not carrying as in transit, no visa is required for few hours. Before leaving India I had confirmed about my ticket several times with Goibibo as well as about visa requirement. As it was Transit, Goibibo people said it was a transit so it will not be required. I had wait in KL for 2 more days and had to book another flight for 13000 INR for which I had no fault. In their system it was showing two different PNRs and complaining about the same they blamed us for booking from Goibibo and asked to book from their website ie Tiger airways only and not from Goibibo.

                I have booked almost thousands of flights and hotels of my friends and family from your portal which you can check in years but this is the most disappointing experience. This wasted my appointments in India for two days as well as I had to pay 13k extra. I need a solution for this immediately and want a refund for all. Otherwise I will have to take further steps forward at different levels. The reputation of Goibibo is almost going into ashes. Please look into the matter at the earliest.

                  These two mentioned bookings were canceled from the indigo website and they also mentioned that refund was processed by them. After 5 days also, we did not receive the refund to our credit card account. Then, we called ibibo group yesterday and the adviser mentioned that they donot even know that the booking has been canceled almost 10 days prior and said that we will process the refund now. Then, we receive a message from the ibibo group saying that they have processed a refund of rs.4450 to the account. This is for the same booking for which we received email from indigo stating that approx rs.8900 was processed for refund.

                  Ibibo group sent emails that refund of rs.4450 and rs.6319 was processed for two bookings respectively and they only processed rs.4450 and conveniently forgot about the other refund. After calling the ibibo group helpline team, they were a great help and some agent named "vekatesan" made me to be on hold for 12 minutes approx and then said that he doesnot know about the issue and will escalated to the relevant team. If the ibibo support team doesnot know about the issue, how can we expect them to help us???

                  Talk about the new cheaters of india. First of all, i will post this in every social media that i know of, then i will pass on the message to print media also about the fraud that the ibibo group is doing!!! They have raised the standard of fraud that goes on in this country. No wonder that we are not progressing and the middle class people are suffering where companies these ibibo group, makemytrip and redbus cheat the middle people of their hard earned money and use the same to make fake ads with ranveer singh, alia bhatt and deepika padukone!!!

                  I have attached the emails from goibibo where they mentioned that refund was processed and i will update the message as well, please process my refund of rs.6319. Dont force hard working middle class people to show their ugly face by cheating them!!!

                    I had purchase Air Ticket under PNR no.H29DY from Goibibo for the journey Dubai to Mumbai. While taking the online ticket, it was written refundable. But after taking the ticket & its print out, in the 2nd page, it is written cancellation charges as Giibibo fee - Rs.649 and Airline fee - Rs.3830/-.
                    Due to my other work urgency at Dubai, I had to cancel the ticket and while cancellation, the Goibibo representative initially told me over phone cancellation charges will be Rs. 5000/- plus. While protesting, he told the above charges which are written in 2nd page of the ticket.
                    But for refundable ticket, cancellation charges Rs.(649 + 3830)/- i.e. Rs.4479/- is very high wherein it was showing refundable ticket.
                    My protest is to refund me by deducting Goibibo fee plus Max another Rs.1000/- as penalty. So maximum cancellation charges should be Rs.1649/-.
                    I have received the mail only for refunding Rs. 5796/- against the payment of Rs. 10275/- When it is refundable ticket, I should get back amount after deduction of maximum Rs.1000/- - Rs.1500/-. whereas Rs.4479 has been deducted which is very illegal. No paymeny of INR 939 is received by me.

                    Requested to take suitable action immediately, otherwise action would be taken as deemed fit.

                    I am taking Air tickets regularly from Goibibo site and being a regular customer huge cancellation charges should not be there.
                    Requested to refund my amount deducting Rs.1749/-

                      Hi, myself rakhee jash is a travel agent from global travel services. I booked hotel mahamaya palace for my brother mr. Kaustabh kundu. Booking id: htlwsuaunw and htl4hzbtw2. I already spoke to customer care and they told they will give another hotel sara for us.
                      I booked that hotel for my brother personally. Not from any travel agency. Last hotel mahamaya palace was under renovation and they cant accomodate my relatives. So this is the mistake from goibibo.
                      As i told i have booked this as a personal and not from my agency, from goibibo they are asking i cant book because i am attached with a travel agent. Ok. Then i wanted to cancel my booking and wanted my amount refunded in my account. I dont wanted as a go cash. Because as a travel agent i cant book in future also through goibibo.
                      But they deducted 2% amount from my booking amount.
                      I understand as a travel agent they had to cancel my bookings because it was written in there terms and conditions. But there is nowhere written they can deduct 2% for this. They cheated me and i want this solution.
                      I cant book a hotel personally through go ibibo?
                      Now if you cancel hotel and dont provide another hotel then my relatives will be in a problem.
                      We dont expect this inconvenience from goibibo.

                        I had purchase Air Ticket under PNR no.H29DY from Goibibo for the journey Dubai to Mumbai. While taking the online ticket, it was written refundable. But after taking the ticket & its print out, in the 2nd page, it is written cancellation charges as Giibibo fee - Rs.649 and Airline fee - Rs.3830/-.
                        Due to my other work urgency at Dubai, I had to cancel the ticket and while cancellation, the Goibibo representative initially told me over phone cancellation charges will be Rs. 5000/- plus. While protesting, he told the above charges which are written in 2nd page of the ticket.
                        But for refundable ticket, cancellation charges Rs.(649 + 3830)/- i.e. Rs.4479/- is very high wherein it was showing refundable ticket.
                        My protest is to refund me by deducting Goibibo fee plus Max another Rs.1000/- as penalty. So maximum cancellation charges should be Rs.1649/-.
                        I am taking Air tickets regularly from Goibibo site and being a regular customer huge cancellation charges should not be there.

                        But my request to give me the justice and refund me the amount with minimum cancellation fees as the ticket was purchased under refundab;e category.

                          Dear All,

                          I had requested flight rescheduling amendment of outbound flight for my booking on 6th April, 2017.

                          I had called support at around 11 am on 6th April, 2017 the total rescheduling charges would be ~Rs.[protected] and on the same say evening around 5.30 pm i again called the team, Mr. Ankit attended the call. The same amendments was charged ~ Rs. 20, 000.

                          Sir it was a very bad experience with your company. The advantage of my situation was en-cashed by the team.

                          The intentions were very clear from the conversation of the execute.

                          If such advantages of the customer problems used for profit making of the company then i do not wish to continue with goibibo

                            I booked a ticket from Delhi to Chennai for May 1st seeing that it is a "refundable" ticket. Ticket cost was Rs.4, 484. Booking ID is TUA5JKTDU. Now, when I checked with the customer care executive regrading cancellation, I was informed that cancellation charges is Rs.4, 071. I did not give confirmation for cancellation being shocked at the high cancellation charges almost equivalent to ticket fare. I fail to understand then on what basis the ticket was shown as "refundable" at the time of booking. This kind of information is quite misleading for the customer.

                              I am writing you regarding an issue of refund from your reputable company and display o[censored]nprofessional behavior in handling complain regarding it.
                              1) i booked a flight ticket on 29th of march with booking id - msgi6bymc. I cancelled the ticket on 5th of april. The company promised a guaranteed refund of cancellation amount within an hour else some go-cash would be added to my account or whatever. Today is 14th of april, after 107 hours no cash has been refunded into my account.
                              2) when i decided to bring the issue into your consideration by calling on customer care helpline ([protected]) at 00:14 am on 14th of april, the call was picked up and all i heard was some giggling sound for few minutes till i had cut the line.

                              Its a display of a disgraceful customer service from your side. Kindly take the matter sincerely and please get refund amount credited to my account as soon as possible.

                                This is regarding the refund amount for the above booking id. cancellation was done from my side on 29th march. goibibo status refund initiated from their side on 29th march and it showed refund to be reflected in bank account with in a max of 3 to 5 working days. today is 13th day (9th day if saturdays and sundays not counted according to them) and still i havent received the money. on the 5th day i called customer care and they told refund is done from their side and i have to check with my bank. so i confirmed with the bank 3 times already that they havnt received the money and sent goibibo customer care a mini statement regarding the transactions in my account for the last 15 days ( as requested by goibibo customer care team). so goibibo customer care sent me serial no consisting of alphabets stating its the transaction details and asked me to check with the bank and asked me to make a dispute or file against it. 4th time today i checked with the bank and they said its not a transaction number and its just a serial of alphabets which may be goibibos internal code for any trnsaction they make. so again i called goibibo customer care asking them for the transaction number for the payment which they say processed from their side. and now they are telling they are unable to obtain the transaction number and they will send me as early as they get it.
                                All these simply means they havnt processed the refund. if they have refunded where is the transaction number. also my status against the booking id shows REFUND QUEUED. which means refund process not completed yet. customer care simply made me run to bank 3 times faking that refund processed from their side. I request you to please take necessary steps towards this refund against the booking id with immediate response.

                                  It has been extremely disheartening to see that a travel agent such as goibibo has such poor application services that confirmation of ticket occurs after 8 minutes of the whole process
                                  Due to such delay I booked another ticket from some other travel agent.But god save goibibo, they told me that my ticket was confirmed only after 8 mins.

                                  I was even more saddened to see the most unprofessional customer care support.Even after calling their staff so many times and telling them about the issue, they didnt seem to be interested in addressing my issues.They didn't even have time and wisdom to cancel the unwanted air ticket, which was confirmed only after 8 mins delay.

                                  I have resolved to take serious action against the company.If they don't address my problem I would not ignore the possibility of taking a legal action and opening a social media action against them.I have already told my near and dear ones to uninstall goibibo's app and after this incident my friends and relatives are least interested in dealing with goibibo.I wish senior executives will address my issue, help save their company from negative publicity, and take an immediate action consistent with their efforts of making their company a competent player in the market.

                                    I write after more than 4 or 5 instances where I tried to make a booking using GoIbibo account (which according to them has Rs5000 as GoCash). Each time, they jack up the prices of the tickets or hotels, then claim to give a discount using what is supposed to be my own "GoCash" and still end up quoting a price about Rs500 to Rs1000 higher than others.

                                    I feel this is unfair, misleading and pure FALSE ADVERTISING. Companies like this who run such scams should be BLACKLISTED. I will not make empty calims, please see attached photos of a booking I made using Makemytrip for a flight from Pune to Del for the 10th of April for 2 adults, the final chargable price. Vs.The 2 photos of booking that I made from Goibibo, where in even after applying my so-called "GoCash", I have to pay more to them.

                                    I wrote a vey blunt email to their management, someone has called me, I could not explain the total matter due to some meeting I was in, but I called back, but could not get through to the person. They sent me an SMS stating my complaint ID is 9214025. So Guys at GoIbibo Management, stop these cheap tricks, its Daylight Robbery and it is not very ethical!

                                      I have booked a Ticket from Chennai to Marthandam on 29.03.2017 .

                                      Initial 3 Transactions are Automatically Cancelled after the Payment tap Opened, Fourth Time Again I tried to Book the Ticket but the Date automatically changed after Booking . I have chosen 31.03.2017, This was my Selection for the Journey but system automatically changed the date to 29.03.2017 Default date as current date . There is an Issue with the system .

                                      But After Booked The Ticket the Date is 29.03.2017,

                                      Then I Immediately cal the Customer Care and Inform them regarding the date issue, But they said it is not possible to change the Date . Then I told them to Cancel and Reopen the Seat . But the Execute and then The Team Leader is not Accepting My Concern.

                                      Then I called to the Bus Operator " Universal" They Said me to Speak with GOIBIBO and they will Fill the Seat . But The customer care people are not at all listening my Voice and not Accepting.

                                      Immediately I called the Customer Care and Re open the Seat . But they are not ready to Accept. I need the solution for this . Because if the Same issue happen in Future, What we will do ? Again we have to loose 1600 or What ?

                                        I Roshan Kumar Singh a PhD student was travelling to Rio de Janeiro for research purposes. I had booked my ticket via GoIbibo and I had two layovers at London and SauPolo. But when I came to British Airways counter for checking they said that I cannot travel because for entering London airport I need to have a transit visa and I was not having a transit visa.
                                        Since I booked my ticket via GoIbibo so they should have informed me about all the visa requirements. The tickets they issued me was a Multiple Airlines so contacting each airlines was not possible for me. Since my ticket was a non refundable I lost more than 1 lakh and then I was helpless at Bombay airport and then I had to beg for money from different people and finally could manage a ticket for me of the next day.I find myself really helpless. And when I tried to call GiIbibo for help they said "we don't provide visa assurance so its not our fault". Buy if they are providing me the tickets they should be providing all the visa requirements for me. And to all the telephonic contacts that I had made with GoIbibo I remember once I had asked them since I will be using a number of airlines and since the GoIbibo is providing me the ticket so please provide me the visa requirements at all my layovers to which they said we will be arranging a call for me but till date I haven't received a call.
                                        As the GoIbibo says to contact individual airlines for the visa requirement I did contact British Airways for visa requirement but they gave me an ISD number which was not possible for me to contact and then the other airlines which I was using my travel were Latam Brazil and Iberia airlines whose offices are hard to find in India.
                                        I took a flight next day morning at 4 AM and I can't explian the amount of pain I had suffered that day.
                                        And then I would Iike to inform you that after I could not board my flight all the travel agent whom I contacted they provided me all the visa requirements before issuing me a ticket.

                                        I request to please please help me as I am very poor student.

                                        Till date GoIbibo has mailed me that they will talk to airlines if they can refund my money and they also have asked for a endorsemet copy of airlines denying me boarding which I have provided to them

                                        We would like to advise you once again which has been already informed to you that Goibibo.com do not provide any visa assistance to any passenger and we advise same to all customer to get in touch with local embassy of country you are travelling or your local travel agent for any visa assistance.

                                        Also, it was confirmed by you on written document before making payment and reservation that visa query will be taken care of by yourself and then only you made payment for booking and confirmed reservation.

                                        Hence, Goibibo.com is not at fault. Still only as a goodwill gesture we have forwarded request to airlines if they can treat this as an exception and refund amount of booking. We are trying our best to get waiver on this but as i now no commitment can be given from our end on this as same is subject to airline discretion.
