I tried booking a roundtrip flight ticket from mumbai to udaipur and return for the dates 27april2013 to 12may2013. The search page displayed the fare as rs5704.00 .

With goibibo.com, the fare icreases when i go to details page. Please check gobibo.jpg attached.
The fare even increases when i reach the bank transaction screen.

With expedia.co.in, the search page displayed the fare as rs 5704.00. The fare remains same even on the details page. After filling all the passenger details, the site displayes and error screen saying "Sorry, the price for the flight you have selected has changed.There is no need to worry as your payment has not been processed."

I didnt have time to try any other internet travel bookin sites, but i think its the same case with most of online booking websites.
To me its a kind of fraud and waste of my time with the company's intention of advertising there website.

It would have been better if I get to know the original fare on the first screen and not get a shocking fare update on every website page i navigate on.

Please do the needful asap.

    Hi ,

    I booked a international ticket via goibibo.com from New Delhi to Cape town , and had to cancel the flight due to Visa issues.

    so as per the policy as per goibibo i can either reschedule / Cancel my ticket 24 hours prior to the time of departure , so i called and got the ticket cancelled.
    It was also confirmed but by the rep on the phone and said refund will be initiated in 1 week.
    So after the cancellation 3 weeks went by and i called ibibo to check the status of the refund and they informed me , so how its getting delayed from Airline side .
    Then i got a call back next day that even after scheduling a planned cancellation of the ticket , i have been shown as no show on the airline and will cost me 5000 more apart from the other cancellation charges that were being deducted from the airline and ibibo.

    I inquired and spoke to there manager 3-4 times that i was told to get the ticket cancelled with in 24 hours , then why i am shown as a no show on the flight . So i was told as per new policy from airline it 48 hours .

    This is so obnoxious as ibibo has no idea about the Airlines policy , and i kept arguing and eventually fought but all i got was we are sorry .
    So i finally agreed and asked to initiate the refund of what ever amount is left after cancellation and no show which came out to be 45000/-

    No its been 2 weeks and after 15 calls to ibibo and talking to there so called supervisors and managers i have still not got the refund and i am being charged of late fees on my credit card because of them .

    This is the worst service ever i have faced from a travel website , and every time i call them , all they do i lie that credit note is been received, refund is initiated , it will be credited .
    Managers promise to call back , but they never do .

    its actually haunting me , and i have tried everything to get my money back but still no luck.

    Can we file a case against them and i will warn everyone not to USE GOIBIBO ever for booking any ticket /hotel .

    Its better to stand in the queue to buy a ticket then to face such harassment .

      I had cancelled my below flight on 19th September:

      9W 2236 Jet Airways Amritsar New Delhi Sept. 19, 2012 13:00 Hrs Sept. 19, 2012 14:05 Hrs DQGQJO 589-[protected]
      9W 2292 Jet Airways New Delhi Bangalore Sept. 19, 2012 15:30 Hrs Sept. 19, 2012 18:00 Hrs DQGQJO 589-[protected]

      It has been over 40 days and still i haven't got my refund.

      When i called for the cancellation, I was told that about Rs 1450 will be deducted from the amount. After cancellation the executive told me that about 2500 will be deducted.

      After lot of calls Goibibo accepted their mistake and told me that Rs 4167/- will be refunded back to my account(This was on 19 Sep 2012)

      After that i have made about 20 calls and each time i got an answer that within 3-4 days i'll get my money.

      Today(31st October. after about 45 days) they told me that they tried to transfer Rs 3967/-(This is again not the full amount) to my account but the transfer failed from the bank side.

      When i asked for the full amount Mr. Rahul Verma( Floor Supervisor) told me that it will take yet another 7-10 days for the refund. This makes about 55 days for getting my money back.

      This is NOT acceptable and now i need the full amount of my ticket that is about Rs 6500/-. I will not settle for anything less than that.

        PLEASE DON'T GO THROUGH GOIBIBO SITE FOR ANY KIND OF PURCHASING (ESPECIALLY FOR FLIGHT BOOKING)
        IF DO THEY WILL NOT PROVIDE CORRECT TICKET OR WOULD NOT PROVIDE THE TICKET WHEN WILL WE HAVE TO FLY.
        IF WE ARE CANCELLING THE TICKET BECAUSE OF THEIR FAULT THEY WOULDN'T REFUND THE AMOUNT AND ALL.

          We booked bus tickets from Mumbai to Ahmedabad via GOIBIBO. When we reached to the specified travel agency for our Journey, we came to know that the tickets which we were shown as ours are not booked on our name, it's been of some other travellers. When we asked customer care about same, instead of arranging another tickets for us, they just offered returns.

            Goibibo.com is worst website for ticket booking. They display bus seats available before booking and after booking and payment they cant confirm ticket. I am calling since Saturday for ticket confirmation. Now they are saying they cant confirm ticket. My call charges for all call is near about 60Rs. Still my ticket is not confirmed yet and also they did not refunded my charges also.

              The above reservations were made with the coupon code “dArhfmpKKD“ to enable Rs. 500/- off on Return Domestic Flights, however the booking was done without any deduction of the price in spite of payment being made by MasterCard Debit Card as required.

              Would therefore expect you to give reason for non-credit of the above discount on priority and subsequent deduction of the amount billed to the extent of Rs.500 as applicable for the voucher.

              This is clear case o[censored]nethical and fraud promotions to cheat customers.In a similar incident with cleartrip promocode,I did got the amount reversed immediately not like fraud goibibo.com

              I've decided never in future to use ibibo.com for any reservations &/or any other services provided by them and would also appeal everyone not to use the fraudulent travel agent.

              Hello,

              Sareeta here. Me and my husband had booked a bus to travel from Belgaum to Bangalore on 4th of January through goibibo. Travel operator was Bhavani Travels. As it was a last minute booking we paid 3200 for 2 tickets (which is 1600 per head, almost double the normal cost). Since we had urgent commitments on monday morning we did not think of the cost. Pick up time was 8.00 pm, but the bus arrived only at 8.20 at departed only at 8.40. Bus was in a very bad condition, as in no cleanliness, driver was not trained at all. Later the bus broke down somewhere near to chitradurga at 3.30 am. Driver did not inform the actual problem, later at 5.30 when all the passengers started shouting, only then he revealed that there is a breakdown and the bus cannot move further. Then he said the back bus will be there only by 9.30 (he wasn't even sure about that). We waited till 8 am and booked a cab from chitradurga paying him 3500 for 4 members and proceeded to bangalore and reached by 12.30pm. This was the horrifying experience. When i called the customer support at goibibo, they said they will call in 24 or 48 hours, its been more than 7 days now and nobody has called up. Above that they you can do whatever you wish to do. Hopeless...

              Very unprofessional attitude. This is not expected from a world class booking system like goibibo. Please respond unless this issue will be escalated further as the co passengers from redbus have got 60% refunds and we also demand the same.

                Hopeless cheating services, non transparent...
                Forget about the gimmicks & so called "discounts" advertised at the site. Two days back I booked one round trip ticket from Bhubaneswar to Mumbai from goibibo.com, in good faith/trust. I have booked this ticket by using one Standard Charted Bank debit card by entering promo code "FLYSTANC", for which the pop-up message has appeared "Discount Rs. 1000, please use your standard charted debit / credit card to avail discount". After successful details at the payment gateway I was asked to provide the Standard Charted debit card details to avail discount and before proceeding to bank website the massage has shown "Original Amount Rs. 8940.00, Discount Awarded Rs. 1000.00, Final Amount Rs. 7940.00".
                After completion of successful transaction the ticket has been booked as per my requirements, but I have charged Rs. 8940.00 instead of Rs. 7940.00. Fail to understand the system difficulties for which I have charged more than the actual.
                But while I checked back with the customer care immediately afterwards, they are presenting thousand number of episodes which is really a breach of trust. The call centre showed its inability to help/refund excess charged! Now they are saying that I have not used the promo code.

                SAY NO TO GOIBIBO.COM, SIMPLY CHEATERS...

                    I booked a room through the website IBIBO.com at Agra in the Hotel Amar yatri Niwas for 3 days and plan to check in on 27th May’12, but due to certain reason I cancelled my booking on 20th May’12. I was promised by IBIBO staff on phone that I will get full amount back, only the cancellation charges of 300 Rs. Will be deducted from my amount.

                    As per IBIBO cancellation policy we have to cancel our booking 24 hrs prior to actual chek-in, I cancelled my hotel booking well in advance, i.e. 7 days prior to actual check-in date, but 51 days passed and my money not yet refunded back to my account despite several reminders by email and by phone to IBIBO.

                    Whenever I am calling to the phone number of IBIBO mentioned on website and on voucher, It will take around 1-2 hrs continuous try to get connected, and when connected, then also IBIBO representative will not give any solution and simply lethargically say “ok sir we will investigate and inform you by phone” or “we will look into this matter and come back to you soon).

                    This harassment is going on since 51 days and now I am considering the legal options to demand a hefty compensation on ground of cheating to customer and making false promise during booking.

                    Does anybody have solution to my problem and help me to get back my money.

                      I had booked 2 return tickets Mumbai - Mangalore using the portal Goibibo.com on the 29th of June 2012. The PNRs are as given below.

                      Subsequently the amount was debited from my HDFC credit card. I also recieved a promotional offer from the website immediatey saying free vouchers which can be spent on purchases made.
                      But the e ticket didnot show up on screen. On enquiry I was told there was a server problem and the price had now increased from Rs. 10355 to 14900 for each ticket and I would have to pay the difference approx. Rs. 9090.
                      On arguing I was offered a discount of Rs. 1,000 per ticket.
                      I was forced to pay as more than half the ticket was paid for. Why should i be paying for the server fault.
                      I would like to be refunded this amount. On insisting for a mail on this issue the phone was hanged up by the supervisor. This is really disgusting as we were going for a funeral.

                        While using iPad 2 , goibibo website was incompatible as a result it never showed me the option to enter the promo code which it shows on desktop computer. So while talking to their customer care guys ,they never agreed to the fact that their website is incompatible with iPad.after wasting some time with customer care I wrote a mail to them and they asked me for snapshots from my iPad but it's been more than 5 days now that I have been waiting for their response .

                          i had booked a package trip to goa for 6 people(4 from mumbai and 2 from bangalore) on 7.5.12 my booking ID- DLSG9Z8LP9GC.My booking was confirmed on11.5.12. Iwas asked to deposit Rs.30,365/-.As one of the persons (i.e.my sister) suppose to join us at goa fell seriously ill and had to be admitted to the hospital at bangalore.because of this reason i had to cancel the trip and rush down to bangalore on 14.5.12.our ordeal with ibibo group started from here.We contacted the customer care to cancel our booking and tel us howmuch money will be deducted. They i.e anshul., mamta,did not know anything about the hotel cancellation policy and they took almost 48 hours to tell us that about first Rs 400 will be deducted,then Rs. 3000/ will be deducted, we asked to go ahead with thecancellation as we had to rush to bangalore. Then after almost 24 hours another e-mail telling that Rs.9998/ will be deducted was sent. This shows that theyknow nothingabout cancellation.about 15 mails and calls every day are being done for refund of money still the money hasnot been refunded.Everytime mamta says 10 working days Almost 30 working days are over and they hav not kept up their promise.i deeply regret for booking a package through them and request people not trust them.my experience with them has been the worst.

                            In the month of December'11 I had booked a flight from Lucknow to Bangalore for travel on 19th Feb, but due to UP elections on 19th I had to prepone the travel on 17th Feb. Now while paying the resheduling charges of Rs 2000/- due to some technical issue in the GOIBIBO site the transaction failed, but the money was deducted. I checked with CC team of IBIBO and was told that I should retry for payement and any extra money deducted will be refunded bcak within 4 days. Its been 5 months since then and no refund has been done. Every time I called a CC they assure me to get this thing resolved with 2 days.(Infact my STD bills for calling IBIBO will be somewhere more than 200+). Since then I mail them every week and everytime I get an assurance but no money. I am frustrated and would like the have some action taken against them. It's not only about the money but the attitude of IBIBO which is very-very unprofessional. I would suggest everyone not to do any booking through IBIBO however good offer they present.

                              I had booked 4 tickets on GMG Airlines for 6th April,2012 and 1 ticket on 8th April 2012 Ex Kolkata to Dhaka for my relatives through Goibibo portal. On 31st March I came to know that GMG airlines had cancelled all their flightd w.e.f. 1st April, 2012 and I immediately contacted Goibibo team about the cancellations and I was told that they had not received any official confirmation from GMG airlines. I told them to visit GMG websight and confirm the fact. But again when I contacted them later on Ms. Sonali of Ibibo team confirmed this and told that the relevant refund would be credited to mt account. But nothing has happened till date there is absolutely no response from them. I insist that Ibibo team must inform the refund status immediately.

I tried to book airtickets through the goibibo.com website for Mumbai - Indore sector on Jan 22, 2012, but the transaction failed, as I did not get any confirmation. When I enquired at ibibo, I was told no booking has been completed. However, an amount of Rs 4496 was debited from my account. The transaction details appearing in my bank acct are

                                2. I again tried on Jan 26, and I was successful in booking the ticket (same passengers / same date / same flight). The transaction details for this successful transaction are :

                                MHDF[protected]-IBIBO.COM [protected] 26 Jan 2012 4496.00

                                I have been asking for a refund for the failed transaction above since Feb 2012, and have written 6-8 emails to IBIBO. They have been telling me that the refund has been delayed due to technical difficulties, and will be made in a few days.

                                However, even after 4 months, I have not recieved the refund.

                                GoIbibo — Non refund of Amount

                                I booked two tickets to Mumbai from Indore using GoIbibo, on the reference of one of my friends. The booking for tickets was done for travel on 24th May. But due to certain reasons the airlines cancelled the flight. When I called the airlines they told me that they have cancelled the flights and the entire amount has been refunded back to the Service Provide(GOIBIBO). I waited for 1-2 weeks for the amount to be refunded back to my account, but to my horror, it was not done. When I tried to contact GoIbibo, first of all their service is the most pathetic of all. I got my call picked after around 50 calls, and then was told that the money would be refunded back... Now it's been a month, and they are not refunding back the amount. And not picking up the call also.

                                Pleae if anyone help in this case.

                                  This complaint is regarding a Goibibo website. I was booking round trip tickets and the prices on their website were as Rs. 5122. I started the booking process and also initiated a discount voucher of Rs. 400. The total price now was Rs. 4722.Then i entered passenger details & bank account details & completed the transaction.After that,my laptop display page showed that "Your Ticket have been booked successfully & your transaction id is GOFLD[protected]. When i checked my account on Goibibo page,it showed amount charged for both tickets but at PNR no place,it was blank.I called their customer care myself and heard different stories from each of them like " Airline has increased prices, It was our system's fault, Technical error,your transaction got timed-out, so and so" But when i explained them that i have completed all the steps during my transaction,i didn't get even a single error or message which normally a customer gets during such errors or problems. After all this, i received dfferent version mails from the company with some mentioning that i have approved to Abort the ticket and we have started refund process. I never asked for abort or refund. Even i am shocked to see in my Goibibo account that they have changed the status of those tickets from CHARGED to ABORT. How can they do that without my consent?
                                  why i will ask for refund as i am supposed to get the tickets. The ticket prices have gone up since that time. It was their fault and i am suffering. Please help me in this matter. I am attaching snap shot of my account for your reference.

                                  We have checked your booking and found that the fares on both the airlines had expired by the time you reached the payment page, the fares which reflect on our site are as per the airline inventory and are subject to change as per any real time changes in the pricing/ inventory of the respective airlines .

                                  In these scenario’s we usually call the customers back within 2 hours (depending on the proximity of travel date ) to inform them of fare differential and take an approval from them to confirm the tickets at a higher cost then originally shown on search page of our site, if the customers approve the fare differential, we go ahead and issue the tickets at the higher cost or else the booking is aborted /cancelled and a full refund is initiated of the original amount .

                                  Please note that since you did speak to our contact centre an hour after attempting the bookings, you were advised of the above and since you did not approve the tickets being issued at the higher cost, we had to initiate refund on the same .

                                  We do appreciate you kind support and understanding in this matter as we do not have any control over the dynamic airlines inventory and fares are subject to change at all times .

                                    I booked a ticket via Goibibo.com for my trip from Bagdogra to Bangalore via Delhi (journey date -15 March 2012). My pnr No is "NZDXTT".
                                    It was a Kingfisher flight. It got cancelled and I came to knew about it from newspaper. I called up Goibibo customer care in feb 3rd week, they replied that they haven't received refund from Kingfisher. I called up Kingfisher guys they said money will be refunded in 48 Hrs to Goibibo. Last week of Feb and I got a confirmation that the money is refunded to Goibibo. But when I called up Goibibo they told me that I'll get refund in a few days.


                                    Since then every 3rd or 4th day I call Goibibo ask for my refund status each time I get the same answer . Now in April they have started saying that there is some technical error in the backend Finance team and they have escalated the case 4 time till now.
                                    I have spoken to the floor manager too she confirmed me in April first week that I'll get refund next 48 Hrs which I haven't received till now.

                                    I'm not sure what technical error they are facing at the backend that they are not able to resolve in 3 months. I have called them some 15-18 times till now and they keep me on hold for 15-20 min everytime. The customer care no is also not toll free. This is an additional cost which I'm bearing everytime.

                                    Is anyone in Goibibo actually tracking it? I'm not sure on that too.

                                      I had booked a hotel Hilltone at Mt Abu for[protected] to[protected] thru Goibibo.com on[protected].they charged me rs 19279 giving me a confirmed Reservation voucher . i forwarded the voucher to hotel hilltone and to my horror got a phone call from their Reservation Desk Denying any booking and furthemore they told me that they had no relationship whatsoever with goibibo and that this was a fraud . terrified i talked to Goibibo.com helpline nos & emailed them . they told me that it would be sorted out in 3 to 4 hrs. 4 days later(with abt 12 phone calls and 10 to 11 emails) the company still refuses to answer. finally today at 16.45pm i received the email from hotel hiltone again denying the booking . upon contacting the Goibibo help desk today they admitted that the first voucher was wrong and now they will try to actually do a reservation in two to three days. this is really sick and i am scared that they will actually just use my money for abt a month and then simply deny the reservation. The entire mail trail to goibibo.com and also the mail by Hotel hilltone denying reservation is with me. i think that this is a regular practice by this portal and hence should be exposed.

                                      Definitely not an isolated case. I had an exactly same experience. They accepted booking for Pragati Resort (in Hyderabad), without checking room availability, and then cancelled at the eleventh hour. It wasn't that these chaps were following-up on their own. It was only when I called the hotel to confirm my booking, that Pragati denied having any kind of relationship with GOIBIBO, and informed that all rooms had been booked a week ago. If GoIbibo were dealing with this resort regularly, they should have known that.
                                      It could still be forgiven, if they had called me the following day with the update; rather than customer having to do all following-up with the hotel, then these chaps, and then back-and-forth several times.
                                      They even claimed several times, that there was nothing to worry, as the booking will be confirmed somehow. Ultimately, they accepted a day before I was to travel that room wasn't available. No prizes for guessing they put paid to our plans.
                                      Definitely the most incompetent bunch I have come across in my dealings. Thank god I didn't book an air ticket with them. I am happily back with Yatra and Makemytrip. These guys are heads and shoulders above this joke of a company.
                                      May be that's why GOIBIBO offerS so may discounts, because they don't intend to own-up to their commitments; and they get free money to use for 15-30 days.
