[Resolved]  Ibibo Group / Goibibo — Bad policy and incomplete information

I Roshan Kumar Singh a PhD student was travelling to Rio de Janeiro for research purposes. I had booked my ticket via GoIbibo and I had two layovers at London and SauPolo. But when I came to British Airways counter for checking they said that I cannot travel because for entering London airport I need to have a transit visa and I was not having a transit visa.
Since I booked my ticket via GoIbibo so they should have informed me about all the visa requirements. The tickets they issued me was a Multiple Airlines so contacting each airlines was not possible for me. Since my ticket was a non refundable I lost more than 1 lakh and then I was helpless at Bombay airport and then I had to beg for money from different people and finally could manage a ticket for me of the next day.I find myself really helpless. And when I tried to call GiIbibo for help they said "we don't provide visa assurance so its not our fault". Buy if they are providing me the tickets they should be providing all the visa requirements for me. And to all the telephonic contacts that I had made with GoIbibo I remember once I had asked them since I will be using a number of airlines and since the GoIbibo is providing me the ticket so please provide me the visa requirements at all my layovers to which they said we will be arranging a call for me but till date I haven't received a call.
As the GoIbibo says to contact individual airlines for the visa requirement I did contact British Airways for visa requirement but they gave me an ISD number which was not possible for me to contact and then the other airlines which I was using my travel were Latam Brazil and Iberia airlines whose offices are hard to find in India.
I took a flight next day morning at 4 AM and I can't explian the amount of pain I had suffered that day.
And then I would Iike to inform you that after I could not board my flight all the travel agent whom I contacted they provided me all the visa requirements before issuing me a ticket.

I request to please please help me as I am very poor student.

Till date GoIbibo has mailed me that they will talk to airlines if they can refund my money and they also have asked for a endorsemet copy of airlines denying me boarding which I have provided to them

This is in regards to your reservation, booking id (AMD5M5NCC).

We would like to advise you once again which has been already informed to you that Goibibo.com do not provide any visa assistance to any passenger and we advise same to all customer to get in touch with local embassy of country you are travelling or your local travel agent for any visa assistance.

Also, it was confirmed by you on written document before making payment and reservation that visa query will be taken care of by yourself and then only you made payment for booking and confirmed reservation.

Hence, Goibibo.com is not at fault. Still only as a goodwill gesture we have forwarded request to airlines if they can treat this as an exception and refund amount of booking. We are trying our best to get waiver on this but as i now no commitment can be given from our end on this as same is subject to airline discretion.

I have booked ticket for 8 th April and i have cancelled it in feb end and till now u haven't got my money back, i have called customer care for lot of time still no action was taken.

I have lost my patience in calling customer care .
If this is the case no longer I m going to book ticket from this company
