[Resolved] Ibibo Group / Goibibo — refund not received and unethical behaviour of customer support | |
Booked flight tickets from goibibo for my journey from new delhi to amsterdam and then return journey tickets from paris to new delhi. They provided me with tickets of alitalia airlines for my onward journey from new delhi to amsterdam and tickets o[censored]kraine int airlines for my return journey from paris to new delhi. My schengen visa (Europe visa) was refused by the french embassy and i was not able to travel. As confirmed from both the airlines over phone and also available on there website a full refund is applicable for my tickets on grounds of visa refusal. I myself mailed all the documents to both the airlines i. E. Visa refusal letter, passport copy and flight tickets. I received reply from ukraine int. Airlines and full refund was provided. While alitalia airlines customer support had advised that as tickets have been booked through goibibo so refund has to be initiated by them. I provided all the documents to goibibo for initiation of full refund with airlines. Since 50 days have passed i have not received my refund and now ms. Roshni rajput, team customer delight, goibibo called me up and told me that the my refund has been rejected by the airlines. She was not ready to reply to any of my queries and refused to provide me any information about my refund rejection. I asked her to share the details of the follow up mails and the reply received from alitalia airlines but she refused to provide the same as she said it is confidential. Then i asked her to arrange for a call back from a senior executive or the person dealing with my refund, but again she refused that they will not talk. I dont understand how the information related to my refund cannot be shared with me? And moreover what confidential information have been shared by the airlines with goibibo that i, the customer whose money is involved is being denied of that information. I request your intervention in the matter as i have been cheated by the goibibo. As per schengen rules (Europe visa authority) and as per the airlines rules i am eligible for full refund due to visa refusal by embassy but goibibo has denied the same and refused to provide me the refund of my amount spent on tickets. An amount of Rs.980 has been charged in my bank account on 22 December 2019 which has been try to purchase from gift-to-india site. The payment has been made to IBIBO Web Pvt Ltd, No purchases have been made. This is a fraudulent transaction
