Hi Deepasa,

Please do not generalise by stating that all ICFAI students are ashamed. I know of many ICFAI graduates who are doing very well. You may be ashamed as you are not successful. Had you studied during the course, you would not have been ashamed today. Its like trying to put the responsibility on the Institution because you are a failure.

You seem to be a student ofd 2007 batch. Then you would have completed the course by April 2009, unless you are repeatedly failing. That may be why you are ashamed. Why instead of checking with the right people 1 year back, you are trying to use this forum to complain asking for a transfer certificate ?

First be clear in your mind that you have wasted your time and parent's money by not puting the right efforts during the course. That seems to be appropriate by looking at your English. Now also instead of trying to get into some good company (offcourse if you have qualified in the exams) you are trying to blame the Institution. Try to bring positivity in your attitude and behave like a MBA and not like a school kid

This is to clarify that the courseware for subject (IT & Systems) existent in group E under the old structure was dispatched through blue dart courier and the same was received by you on 30th May 2008. However as per the current applicable structure the subject (IT & Systems) is in group C of the MBA program. But the subject content is same with no further changes. Hence you may refer the study material available for IT & Systems examination paper in July 2010.

It says "Membership in Icfai alumni Federation" All the students who successfully complete the mba program are eligible to become the members of the icfai alumni federation.

But if you have a look into the cimbag council website i think they have done a fair job .
working with various blue chip companies all over India.To conduct and sponsor seminars, conferences, and executive development programs, research studies, publications and consultancy work aimed at creating and disseminating knowledge and improving professional practice in the area of Management.

I think this will better the chances of an icfai mba completed students getting a job or getting recognized as well. End of the day we will draw some or the other benefit from it for sure.

I don't understand, becoming member how does it personally benifit to me. what in return am i getting by paying Rs 5000/- membership Fees. Does this council has any code of conduct for its member or does it recognised in the industry. there is not special benifit or return as a students we are getting. I mean are we getting any publushing, knowledge magazine on becoming member of alumini society? you even didn't mentioned the website name?

CIMBAG is the council for the MBA graduates which is providing the networking and other services to the successful graduates. Only successful graduates are eligible to be members of the council. The fee payable is a onetime fee as indicated in the prospectus given at the time of enrollment to you.

I have completed MS Accounting course from Icfai, now waiting for the Certificate.I have cleared all the course fees one year back but when I asked for the Certificate they are asking me to pay 6000. It seems we are buying the membership. What type of help it will provide us when I am staying out side of india?

ICFAI — SBI Credit Cards

I Ayub Khan, is a SBI Creidit Card holder with Card no : [protected], using it exclusively by paying every month balances completely before 22nd of every month, since it is issued to me.

My Case is like :

On ____ November, 2006, I droped a HDFC Bank of amount Rs.13250/- in SBI Credit Cards Drop box at SBI Personal Banking Branch at 13th lane, Banjara Hills. Hyderabad. Later after 22nd of November continuous calls started to ring my mobile stating that no payment is made and later when I briefed that I had dropped cheque, every person who called me talked violently stating that no cheque is received and make cash payment immediately to our collection boy whom we are sending now. I though may be I made any mistake entry in cheque or something else, and any how I need to pay for which I utilized, I made the cash payment of Rs.13250/- to collection boy named “Bharat Reddy” whose mobile no : [protected] on 8th Dec’ 2006, with Receiptno : 6400395 (Enclosed zerox of the receipt). At that time of payment I clearly conveyed that boy, requesting him to convey my case details to his higher authorities, as on how my cheques are missing due to which I got pay late fine and Finance charges unnecessarily. And next time, if same repeats I am not going to pay single paise.

Again on 18th January, 2007, I again droped a HDFC Bank Cheque no : 339457 of amount Rs.37500/- in same SBI Credit Cards Drop box at SBI Personal Banking Branch at 13th lane, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. Later after 22nd of January, 2007 continuous calls started to ring my mobile stating that no payment is made and later when I briefed again that I dropped cheque with so and so number and date, but to my mercy no one believed me and talked reluctantly stating that no cheque is received and you make a cash payment, which I denied to pay with late fee and finance charges for the mistake I haven’t made or tell me what is my mistake. I patiently requested every person who called me stating to please find as where my cheques are missing. From that time to now I received around 200 to 250 calls during my office hours ( 9 AM to 6 PM) from various SBI Credit cards and Recovery departments and I responded to patiently spending 15mins at an average on each phone call, explaining my case and requesting to sort out my cheques.

Recently one or two months back, I received 15-20 calls from your SBI recovery head named Jitendra with, whom again I explained my case with all my patience.

Since 10 days back I received around 50 calls to my mobile and office land line no’s from person named Sujatha stating the same as my cheques are not received, do make cash payment.

Later I received 10 calls from Mr. David, Manager Recevory Dept, GE, again stating same and was called to his GE-SBI Cards office at Begumpet, Hyderabad on 20th August, 2007. I went to the called destination and after facing lot of insulting argument, I requested Mr.David to check the register or database of cheques received on daily basis. Then when checked with Mr.Gopi, Operations Manager it got to the notice that my last two cheques are found and are not submitted to bank as they are non-micr cheques.


Finally, because of your organization and its employee’s mistake, for last six months I suffered

1. Severe Harassment thru phone calls leading me to mental depression
2. Wasting my official time of (250 x 15) 3750 mins, ie 62 working hrs, ie nearly 8 working days. Due to this, I am afraid whether I could loss my job.
3. Lost my personal image at office and home in front of my colleagues, friends and family members.

Due to this loss of time and goodwill, I demand your organization to pay me a compensation of Rs.2 Lakhs

Later after I get my demanded compensation, I wish that, my non-submitted cheques to be returned back to me. I will confirm them whether they are micr or non-micr with my eyes, cause now I don’t have any belief in your organization / your employees. Later if they are found to be non micr, then I will issue new cheques. I have 100% confidence that the cheques I gave are micr.

most of the student i have seen that they have not read the pospectus given by university.every thingh is mention on the prospectus moreover all detail is given on website of the university.some of the case is jenioun and maximum fault is of student as they are not take complite information from university.

I am also one of the victims of mean behaviour of ICFAI. I have lodged complaint regarding not receiving a single book under edwantage free book scheme from ICFAI. Even after writing many emails to the concerned authority, I got no response and was really disapointed with the kind of service provided by the ICFAI. I do believe this is injustice on the part of students who fell prey of ICFAI and those who are receiving legal notices.

I sincerely feel ampathy towards the students who are getting legal notices.

I think your complaint is not indicating any specific issue. You are just trying to make allegation against the University.

If you have any difficulties, why don’t you escalate it to the Principal/Management.

Have you done that?

These people like Vipin have no work and tend to get their frustrations out by putting anything anywhere without understanding that they are spoiling the purpose of these sites.

Reading the english makes one feel that this guy may have not even crossed matric forget about MBA. A student who looks at the Principal and the faculties as a gang and the respect shown towards them make me feel that this fellow does not have any proper upbringing at all and does not look like having any moral values at all, forget about the respect for at least senior people

Mr. Vipin, if you have a genuine issue, you must escalate it to the right people in the right place. This is not the forum to give vent to your feelings.

I hope people will use such mediums in a better way rather than diluting the purpose of these sites.

Is this the reason for ICFAI college being bad. Suresh, after looking at your English I don't think you have passed even 12th standard; forget about your degree.

No doubt ICFAI has a bad word of mouth publicity. I personally don't have any complaints against them but sources close to me have revealed that it's a pathetic college.

Vipin, I think there will be a case study about ICFAI soon if they don't do business ethically.

Ok for all the foul mouths, here is my experience with INC Gurgaon (Now ASIM Ggn)

I am from 2007-09 batch and did my full time MBA from here. No doubts the college has it's cons in terms of infrastructure, instability of the faculties, average placements, etc. However, by the likes of those who are complaining here, you don't have the dedication and the education to clear CAT. Correct me if i am wrong.

Mr. Suresh, which MBA institute will give you a degree if you have not submitted your dissertation report? If you even get admission to any IIM (even in your wildest dreams), it will be a similar story for you. Well, I am sure people such as yours will continue to crib even if it is a premier institute.

I am not saying INC Gurgaon is an amazing institute. Frankly, it's not. Same goes for ICFAI University be it IBS Gurgaon. It all depends on you.

You may or you may not get a placement on-campus. But it really takes guts, your skills, and whatever you have learned throughout the tenure of your MBA course to get a good job off-campus!

Well, I have a lot of negative points about this college. Why i will not talk about those is because those points have been overshadowed by the positive aspects. I am currently working with one of the largest MNC, with a nice pay (Ya, by the standards of a MBA), and I am really glad that I did my MBA from INC because it gave me a platform and some nice mentors :-)

Mr. Vipin, the faculties you mentioned where there during my time of MBA. There were more. Believe me, they were supportive. And it is hard to believe that a person just came to you one fine day saying that XYZ person sucks! Dude, I have spent my 2 years with them and what you are saying is !

End of the day, it's your call where you want to be in life so stop cribbing. Again, I am not saying the campus has some great placements. Our seniors had some good placements but that was not the case for our batch. However, if you have the fire in the belly, no big company can reject you. Well, that's my experience talking. Just my 10 cents!

ps - I believe the college has shifted now! It was in IDPL during my time but now I believe IBS is there instead. Again, I had a great experience. Not sure if that will be the case now.

What is the purpose of this complaint. I have completed my MBA from INC and was in 2007-09 batch. As far as I know there was no caution deposit paid by students. You can confirm the same by going through the prospectus.

Before complaining, you should be knowlegable with actual facts and not just complain for the heck of it. It is not expected from a MBA

You claim to be MBA and pointing fingers without having any basic knowledge. You mention that you are a 2009 passout. Did you pay Caution Deposit while taking admission that you are claiming refund?

There was no caution deposit taken by Icfai National College for this batch. Please ask your college mates if you are aware or even check the prospectus, if you still have the same !!!

Here in our institute during admission it has been told that institute will provide us 100% placement and we would get total support from its University for the placements. But as our session is getting over in just 15 days we are losing all our hope. We have been totally dissatisfied and feel cheated. I have no option other than to depend on college for placements but everything seems to be at end. We had given about Rs. 236000.00 and what we get is nothing.
one of my friend mr. prashant has complited his SIP in outlook publication in during his sip the target that were assign to him is 150 subscription in 3 month and he gave them 90 subscription at that time but only 15 books has reached at right time and else book can't reached till today.
Also at time of admission we have given Rs.10000.00 for student fund which has not been utilized properly and we could not get the details of it. We demand for the details of student fund.

I have no option other than to depend on college for placements but everything seems to be at end. We had given about Rs. 236000.00 and what we get is nothing. The institute is getting closed and is no more remains in Many cities. This University is giving regular classes but how it dealt it, we dont know. Whereever we go all says that it is a private corse as correspondance and it has no value. In our Mathura campus they searching jobs with the help of Local Newspaper and these newspaper jobs are not genuine job because these Results are Unknown, only the wastage of money . Please help us, many of my classmates is facing the same problem.

I am Prashant studing in INC Mathura 2008-10 batch. I alredy ragister a complaint here against ICFAI University dehradun but university pressurize us to withdraw that complaint and again promise us to consider our problems and provide better placemant.

Learning's at INC: There I have learned the basics of my professional life. At INC I have made myself stronger to face the challenges outside the campus.
Academics: At INC we go full support from our faculty members. They were always ready to help us out in any kind of situation. They were always a helping hand as far as our studies concerned.
Placements: I have got a good placement from INC in ONICRA Credit Agency of India Ltd as Management Trainee (Finance & Accounts). Today I am successfully working in Helix Financial as Associate.
Value of MBA certificate: MBA is not mere a certificate if you take it from an Institute like INC.
Overall opinion on INC: INC provides a good platform to their students from where the students can reach up to their goals.
Message to juniors: Concentrate to your studies and try to learn everyday. I wish your journey with INC will be fruitful.

Mr. PSharma has expressed totally correct view about ICFAI.These Icfai people are running their university like a chain of restaurants/dhabas and are working in a very non academic manner.They take more pain in recovery of fees rather than providing quality education to their students.They keep on hounding their students for recovery of dues like recovery agents and their staff stationed in different corners of country specially in NCR start speaking threatening language to recover dues through court of law as they manage to collect PDC cheques from their students.Their students are unaware of their unethical designs and they suffer a lot because they give PD Cheques.
Very recenyly I have sought an interview with HON.
Minister Mr. Kapil Sibal to report the matter in detail and
seek his immediate interference to order in depth enquiry into the working of ICFAI University.This matter will also be reported to Directorate Of Revenue Intelligence, Mumbai for detail investigation into financial activities of ICFAI people as they recover a lot of fees without issuing proper receipt.

Not only Mba they are making fool in all the courses. I joined CFA and even after doing extremely well they will fail you and after 6-7 attempts and wasting 5-6 years and spending lakhs you will get the degree which has no value in market and not at all recognised. There is hardly jobs and students waste their whole carrer.

It’s really true they are not ready to give degree certificate to any one. They are making money from students. So they do not want to loose the money. For me they have given fail marks 3 times continuously in MY LAST GROUP J CASE STUDIES papers. I don no the reason and also i do not get any advice from University how to clear the papers. SSD also not giving reply properly. This problem is not only for me. I have enquired with some around 10 students they are all also facing the same problem, every one was written the Case Studies Paper around 3 to 4 times.
Even though in that paper nothing to study if you ask any thing regarding to these paper to University, every one will say different things then how the student will do the same thing what the are expecting?

As rightly said about the ICFAI University, Take my case, I registered with this university thinking i am going to complete my MBA by appearing exams, and will pass for further job promotion. But i was wrong. Even after appearing for 4 times, by paying Rs. 1000/- each time, they are failing me in Subject like "BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS" I don't understand, what kind of syllabus they have, or else they don't want to pass. I have successfully completed Stage 1 MBA and also received Diploma in Business Management certificate and I yet to complete my Group F examinations in July 2011 to receive my Post Graduate Diploma certificate. And even some of my friends also cleared Stage 1 and 2.

I joined ICFAI in 2007 that time my salary was 5000 Rs and I paid Rs 4300 installment per month now you can feel how much pain I would have taken. Still I am in group D after 4 years. I attamped 17 times for exam and passed only 3 times. Now I have fed up with this MBA program and not going to attamp further exam.
This is not only my story it is the story of 25 students who joined with me.
Now I feel this course is not made for working executives even it is not a distance learning method

Even I am have tried the Group C exams almost 6-7 times and was not able to clear it. I was quite confident that I will be able to clear it in last 2 attempts but no luck on this. there were so many people who joined with me but now except me and one of my friend nobody else is pursuing the course any more. ICFAI is just minting money out of our pocket. Please don't cheat people anymore you don't know how people are paying all this hard earned money. If you think distance means quick and short cut way certification for MBA degree then its BAD choice.
Any of ICFAI, like sikkim, tripura aur hydrabad all has a wast syllabus with the dark blend of low terms.
Where 50% passing means MBA-MBBS...;)
Important terms is if having at list 2-3 years of MNC experience then all the questions will seems to be daily facing challenges and common sense. by which confidence can be increase as well as get key to open the closed doors for promotion.
Please search for classes for all sub by which one can be a good listener, Ability to sit for 2 HRS in the examination,
50% terminologies get clear in the class so by solving sample question paper which gets open after payment for examination every one can pass in exam.
Only one thing I don't like about ICFAI that Examination fees are RS-500 per paper.

I agree that the syllabus and exam Pattern is quite tough compared to others, but by a regular study of at least 2 Hours anyone can pass the exams easily.Study materials are good and also there is lot of flexibility for Time and Fees.I suggest to join ICFAI if you are ready to do some efforts.I have completed all my Papers in single attempts and got the degree this year.

I cleared all my papers at the first attempt the only exception being 2nd semester finance. I followed ICFAI provided study material only.

I have just joined this course in Jan 2016. My first exams are in July. As a correspondence course I feel the exams are well laid out you have over a whole month to schedule your 5 exams per semester, you do not have to do it all in 1 day as mentioned by some people!!! Exams schedules are available 4 times a year for a whole month in Jan, Apr, July, Oct in case you can not do all your exams for the semester in one month. Now for the people who said they keep failing and don't pass, please stop scaring people who actually want to study and get a degree. MBA is not meant for everyone that's why company's value it. If you can just pay and pass with out studying then it would be worthless. However my friend that introduced me to ICFAI has passed some of her exams with out studying as she has worked for 8 years and has working experience in some of the subjects. I also have a lot of experience so I think I can also do it well. I have started reading the course material and it sounds pretty straight forward. I will say that - don't think you can pass without studying, as you can fail this has also happened to my friend. But unlike other university's that put this on your record Icfai will give you another chance to pass and not show it on your record .. I think that is very forward thinking!! Iam a student of ICFAI Tripura, doing MBA Marketing through distance education. Peoples here complaint about that the exam are tough. I accept they are tough, but if you really prepare for exam, you can easily pass. I prepare daily 1.5- 2 hours besides by job. I study only during my bus travel from home to office and from office to home. I enjoy my time with family. Without studying if you get results that is not fair. prepare well and succeed. after two years you get actual MBA not a Post graduate diploma.

Icfai Distance learning program is worse,

They just provide you certificate after every sem and just normal subject grade but they don't provide final cgpa / Percentage / any final grade to check your marks, and anywhere if you apply they will ask you for final CGPA/ Aggregate / Percentage .

So i would really suggest don't waist your 60- 70 Thousand in doing MBA from ICFAI.

Its Really Useless . I was my big mistake of doing MBA from ICAFI .

The post is BS. I have completed my MBA Finance from ICFAI Tripura with a time span of 2 and half years. If you want to get a degree from ICFAI you have to work hard. The syllabus is very hard and it need your total commitment.

I looked at the comments above from all the students and can very guess where is youth of India going. Everyone seems to want a degree served in plate so they can take it.

This is a tough course, but not impossible. About recognition, yes this degree is recognised everywhere. Even now when i want to do CIMA, which is the accounting course recognised in the whole world including US/UK i get exemptions for 5 subjects if i have MBA degree from ICFAI and yes even CIMA have ICFAI listed as recognised university.

I have MBA degree from ICFAI passed in 2014. It took me time to clear the exams as i was working but i did clear all my Groups.

Coming to jobs. I am currently working in London with fairly good salary and my MBA certificate helped me a lot. Off-Course my work experience also played a major role but having a Masters Degree will help you to ease your initial selection process.

So this is a message to all, don't look for short cuts. If the path is tough put more strength, one day you will be successful. Im telling it from my experience, as i was unable to clear my groups in time even i was frustrated but i never gave up.

ICFAI is not providing any proper format/syllabus. They making money through Fees. There is no clear details for passing marks and syllabus contains repeated and unnecessary stuffs which is difficult to study. Though we answered right answers as per the notes they have provided, still they fail the students. And once I applied re-valuation also. The answer sheet which they sent totally differs from marks they mentioned in the results.

Why these complains? i have also done MBA from ICFAI and feel that they are very strict and that is the best part. That will give an opportunity to probe into each and every detail of the subject. I don't think any regular college is even so strict. i could not qualify 1/2 groups in one time but that gave me an insight to read each and every details of the subject. if you want to do a course, do it for the sake of knowledge not for certificate only. People are doing MBA just to show off where as they do not have actually any knowledge. i did not do the internship but due to my probing into the entire book and subject, i could qualify my first interview even as an HR. That has to be and that should be?

I dont feel whatever bad had been written is correct for ICFAI. First of all if anyone is not preparing him/herself for examination will fail.And re-appearing examination fee are but obvious recovered by any university.Its a humble request to those who had blamed university that it is looting after re-attempting exams and not cleared should have taken have taken a legal action, but till date nobody had done it.

So please be wise to blame yourself rather than any university.

i have completed my MBA in hospital admin from ICFAI .i would suggest that ICFAI is one of the best universities for distance courses.syllabus and course material are of very high quality.exam pattern are really good .only thing one has to do is to study well the course material practice the exercises regularly weekly 3-4 hrs studies are enough.exam and result policies are transparent without any cheating or fraud.

people complaining might not be preparing for the exams.hard work is the only key to success in any good university.

I tried very hard but they always fail me and my friend. it is fraud college they are only taking money from the students please never join this university... not even a single question appear in the exam form the workbook they had provided. they don't even know how students sacrifice for to pay fees and join MBA its a big fraud. I was casually browsing through ICFAI because I completed my MBA (IT & Systems) 7 years back and wanted to know how ICFAI is doing. I stumbled on this Consumer Complaints. I agree it is difficult to pass all the exams unless one put Hard work and dedication. Without commitment and focus to complete, one cannot get MBA. I completed all my papers in the first attempt and got around 70%. But I agree all the exams are really tiresome. No doubt about it but at the end of the day after getting MBA it will be really a wholesome experience of regular course experience.

I don't know the value of doing ICFAI course now in India but I know their curriculum, course work, testing process etc were in good standard. So I am not going to suggest either way as I don't want to misled students over here.

If you are not able to clear the exams means the fault is yours not of the university. I've also done my MBA from ICFAI and cleared all the exams in 2.5 years and right now working at MNC at a good position. Thos who are looking for just a degree I dont think so they should go for ICFAI but those who are looking for knowledge and degree definitely go for ICFAI. ICFAI is Bogus!! I enrolled for a course in the first place they closed the Vasntkunj Pocket D(Delhi) center. There was no communication from the university. I tracked them for 2 years the counsellor stopped picking up my phone. My two years got wasted because of that. Later on when I disputed they returned the Money. I had to pay the DENOVO fee. After paying the Denovo fee too the website was not open for 2 semester Exam. After rigorous follow up I did and asked for 2 attempts (Have already cleared 16 Papers). Only 6 papers to go(Means one attempt and I get an MBA). I talked to someone at the university and they assured that I focus on my exam and if 2-3 papers are left they will give me extension. But they did not fulfill there commitment. Think about it guys in the 1st Place they have so many restriction(You cant appear for more than 2 group) You cant appear in more than 4 paper at a time, Exam are heald just 4 times in a year. Where is the room for a student. And the paper you get no feedback where you flunked. No feedback never ever. You never know if the answer that you gave was correct and they did not pass you. WOrst of all when they knew that I have 10 paper and 2 attempt left they took RS 27,[protected]Noram for next group + 6000 for CIMBAG +1500 for Exam) and I passed 4. in 2 attempts. They gave no heed. I have been writing to SSD @ following up .. n following up .N following up but the duffer replying is not letting me through to speak to some hire authority. What about the commitment that one of there employees made. Guys Do not TRUST ICFAI. After giving 5 years of my life (Trust me guys when you are working 10 hours a day in office + 4 hrs lost in travel you are left with less of time & motivation to study.. but WTF after appearing and clearing 16 paper they tell me that your validity has expired) when they clearly know that even after paying the DENOVO fee if the website was not updated they should had made an exception but they did't. They are least bothered. Most of all I missed 4 exam during the DENOVO period due to death in the family during one of the semester. They lack the emotion of a GURU.. Yes they screwed me Rs. 1, 25, 000 +6, 000 +500/exam(I do not know how many times I paid them). For all future aspirants better go for IMT or Symbiosis but definitely ICFAI is not the right choice because. when you call and right email to them in English the quality of reply says that the person replying them is under educated. You will never be able to reach out to someone genuine at [protected]@icfaitripura.edu. SO please In My advise. I do not want anyone to suffer the way I did. There were 12 people that I know who enrolled with me . They were not able to suffer the harassment and they left. I continued because I come from a poor family and had no other options. After paying more than 1.5 Lakh rupees and 5 years of my life just because they can't give me 2 attempts I could not get a MBA. What hurts me more is in Jan'18 my validity expired and in August they made me pay Rs. 27, 500. No university is bad or good the people, faculty & interest in there student interest make them a University. ICFAI lacks interest in there student. Rest the decision is yours if you have patience more than me then please join ICFAI. else there are millions o[censored]niversity. You deserve better in life. I wish and pray that the Agony that I have been through - "Bhagwan wo din mere dushman ko bhi naa dikhaye". Please do not trust ICFAI. All the good reviews have been purposely been forced by students who passed from the university. I am from Mohali Chandigarh. I took admission in 2016. One of the your team member came at my house for admission along with statement that we are providing very simple correspondence courses. Such a big stupid I was trusted on his words and started. 1st semester was good but in second semester was horrible. You guys not clear the exam of students. Nothing was clear from first day, He collects 62K from my home because i was doing nights shifts that days so unable to visit there. Even though i asked from is that i don't h ave ample time to study, ICFAI team member replied no issues mam you will clear it easily along with Job. That my mistake i thought ICFAI is goo university. From last 4 years i am continuous trying even i left the job for clear my MBA but unable because we are not robot who can capture single line in the mind. No one clear that you cant be Wes my 2 semester without clear whole program. Even though ICFAI Team member took my signature without telling me what written inside.

Now I am unable to go Canada because I am not having MBA. ICFAI wasted my whole life. Seriously want to Slap to that person whose saying ICFAI having standard. What you think we are not studied.

Let me know couple of things:-

If your university have some standard then why not you are taking Test. Those who can clear test is only elig for your courses.
ICFAI always blaming that students are not studied well. Do you guys think that we are insane or what, is we having keen interest for wasting our precious money.
There is no last 10 years paper. Providing waste material like :- sample paper etc. These are so easy to resolve. But the questions in the exam are so difficult.
Tell me one thing are we can capture all pages from your bullets notes in our mind. Because your questions are from any paragraph or any pages.

ICFAI — Threatening to pay money(icfai)

I took admission in icfai for MBA(distance mode) in 2007-08 i paid 10, 000 initially and submitted PDC's of 3543 (18 cheques), during the time of admission i was shown all flowery pictures about the university, i was referred by my friend but he haven't got any money which he is liable under reffral programme, i haven't got my ID card till date, it was then i realized that they have started money making business, i haven't cleared any of their semester, i decided to discontinue the course, so i did stop payment for rest of the cheques... on this icfai started sending me notice from Photon Capital and threaten me to pay the amount or legal action will be taken... looking to all this scenario i decided to take advise from a lawyer... he gave me a written notice which i had sent to SSD and Photon capital... icfai took a break for some days... but after six months they again started sending notice from photon capital and this time it was heights... i got a mail from Max wealth India mentioning my name in Paymentdefaulter.com website... Paymentdefaulter.com is an independent body... how can icfai force to continue course ... as far as i know there is no such rule... pursuing any kind of degree or discontinuing the same is the matter of choice... please help us beacuse i know there are many suffering from torture of icfai... why any one is not taking action against such crime... this is open Gundagiri... pls help to get out of this situation

I joined the course in 2007. paid an upfront of 10, 000 and gave them 18 pdc. later after a month, i called them up to tell them that i wil not be able to go forth with the course and asked them if they could refund my 10000, they said they cant do that.. So i thot of forgetin it. i didn block the cheques as it was an educational institution and as never in my dream i thot these frauds will sue me for the PDCs. i got a letter of late from some additional magistrate from Lok Adalat saying i need to be at the court in Hyderabad for settlement. Their website sucks and it the god damn hall ticket wont get downloaded, They are not approved under the AICTE norms. Above all why on earth would i give a penny more for someting that i didnt use.. Its like asking me to pay the phone bills of 80k that you never spoke for.. "WHY WOULD I PAY A PENNY FOR SOME SERVICE THAT I NEVER GOT??
And it would be great if someone out there told me the gravity of the situation. How long do i have to react to this letter.? I get this on March 25, 3.00pm saying i got to appear in the court by 12:30 pm same day? what am i supposed to do.. I dont have a time machine to travel back in time..

I am an ex-student of Icfai Tech Hyderabad. I passed out in june 2009. The college had made it mandatory for all the 4th year students to pay a sum of Rs. 10000 in the seventh semester as alumni money otherwise they were not ready to enroll the student for the coming semester. Icfai Tech has a number of campuses across India. Due to some case going on in the court some branches of the college have been shut down, and hyderabad campus is one of them. I have mail from the college that specifically specifies this point. I would request you to kindly look into this matter and I am hopeful that I will get my money back.

I am Saqib Jan from Kashmir. I Enrolled for BBA last Quater and i paid my 2 installments to ICFAI.
Everything was fine and while there was Voilence in kashmir so my Dad was going to get my brother from school and while crossing the bridge the Cops started beating him and because of the he got Injured. He is working with his one hand i cant afford to pay my fees and the only option i have is to study from some GOVT college. Many people spoke to me over the phone and they said its a legal issue and i would have to pay them. I think Icfai is a business company and thats why they dont have any human touch. I sent them email but they dont bother. I've stopped Cheques from my bank because they are charging me RS435/- everytime it gets bounced. I spoke with many different people and they are telling me to get borrow the money from someone and return later. Please do needful otherwise they'll file the case against me and then i'll get in problems.

ICFAI is one of the BOGUS university in the world ...I repented after taking admission...they never told me that you would need to pay for exam fees, coaching will be only for first three groups and lot many things...
They are excellent in deceiving students...I'd rather say they staff has done Master of Deceiving People (MDP)...so friends beware while taking admission in any ICFAIs course...
I would strongly recommend you do NOT to take admission for ICFAI's distance MBA...of course why, with the one forth (1/4 th) money you are getting admission in symbiosis varsity.
They have made education as Business...I'd rather say Business Ethics should be explained to ICFAI's Board first and then thier students...
Once again it is very BOGUS...it should be banned...this varsity has to be sued...

ICFAI — Admission Cancellation and Fees refund

Now I wish to cancle the admission and want my fees to be refunded,

I have contacted the university, but could not get any written communication from their side.

I too face the same problem. This was not mentioned at the time of enrollment at all. In addition to that, I had paid for the placement services at the time of enrolment in April 2007. I enquired about the Ceritificate and Placement Services for which I got reply stating that my Certificate will reach me within six weeks from the date of announcement of the results, no comment on the placement services. I have written at least 2 mails after that enquiring about the placement services, but no response. I call the toll free number, but it never get picked.

Do not pay. Legally ICFAI cannot hold certifcates also CIMBAG was formed in 2007 and for students who enrolled before this, rule cannot apply

Registering for Alumni cannot be made mandatory. If students are not interested why should they join??
I agree with Jayram, that legally ICFAI cannot hold certificates as this Alumni was formed only after 2007. Rules cannot apply for those who enrolled earlier. Also there has been no prior communication to any of the students either by mail or by post in regards to this Alumni fee. This has come as a surprise for every one.

Even i have joined before 2007 and not interested in paying Rs.5000/- and joining alumni.

Compliant has to be registered against them to get legal justice for the ICFAI students.

I have already consulted my lawyer and i will take this legally in case i do not hear from them. legally they cannot hold my certificates after all, the efforts were mine and i have paid all the fees mentioned in their prospectus.Who is interested in this Alumni nonsense

I did receive the same kind of mail to pay Rs 5000 to initiate the dispatch process of my final certificates. But, I promptly replied back that I am not at all interested in this Alumni and requested them to send my certificates ASAP.

Meanwhile, I've got a call from this Alumni and particularly inquired about my certificates. I've been told to contact the Alumni if I don't receive my certificates by Apr 2nd week. They act as if they are intermediatery between us and the university. This is not at all acceptable and as everyone mentioned ICFAI can't legally hold our certificates.

I would rather pay 5K to my lawyer to take this matter to court of law, they cannot make us pay any monies which were not asked at time of enrollment and withholding certificates is unconstitutional and illegal.

When I approached the local office for payment of fees.. they just dont know how to accept the fees... the guy there call 3-4 peoples and told me currently coordinator is not there so please come tomorrow.. when i mailed to ssd first reply came after 2 days.. its mandatory and I have to pay it.its maintained in the admission prospectus.. but when i asked How to pay it? I am still waiting for the reply...
So what is this all about... First they introduce a awkward fees and then no further information about it.

Not getting MBA certificate
i have been pursuing MBA from ICFAI distance learning from April 2006. i recently passed all my exams and was waiting for my certificate. recently i got an email from them asking me to join CIMBAG, which is the alumni organization before i can get my degree certificate. the fee for joining CIMBAG is Rs 5000. so after clearing all my exam fee, i still have to pay Rs 5000 before i can get my degree. i believe, that this is like asking Ransom before my degree certificate is released. The sites for CIMBAG says that it is not for profit organization (http://www.cimbag.org/, http://www.flexiblemba.org/alumni_council.asp/ ). on the other hand they are asking money. i am not interested in joining the alumni organization, but they still want me to pay the money.

it says that is advised to be the member, that means its not compulsary, then why while registration of july 2010 exams your site by default is asking us to pay the the membership fees.

and also the above comment says that " students of the MBA program on successful completion are advised to be the member " then why it is asking us to pay us now as yet we have not completed our MBA program.

4) I am already working and have more than 8 years of Industrial Experience So I am NOT interested in your CIMBAG benefits.

1. As mentioned in CIMBAG's website (http://www.cimbag.org/aboutus.asp) it is Not for purpose of Profit, hence I believe asking for membership fees in absurd.

2. CIMBAG was formed in 2007 and hence ICFAI or anybody cannot force anyone to join CIMBAG who had enrolled to course prior to year 2007. Registering for Alumni cannot be made mandatory.

3. Perhaps this looks very cheap indeed to force someone to join and avail benefit when one is not interested.

4. In CIMBAG website (http://www.cimbag.org/) it is very clearly mentioned that
"The Council of ICFAI University MBA Graduates (CIMBAG) was established in 2007 as an Alumni Body for the benefit of all those students who successfully completed the MBA Program in the flexible mode from the ICFAI University."
Those who have Not completed MBA program yet may Not want to avail this benefit. So why there are so much of Tantrum from these SSO and SSD people.

5. In future if they keep opening some 100 Alumni associations then what do they expect from students to join each and everyone of them. This drives me insane.

In the name of Education, People of India is Looting People of India, I Don't see this country heading anywhere.

I have been also facing same problem and I am ready to fight with them. Every alumni body of each and every college is working free of cost. For my case I am already working topmost company, I only joined MBA for my future growth, I never quit my present job, then what is point of CIMBAG membership. I am ready to legally battle with this type of nonsense act by university.
I am also intimating through this mail to SSD that please consider our views, we don’t want to spoil university name because of this reason.

If few o[censored]s is not completed MBA because of some reasons then they are not eligible for CIMBAG.Then their RS 5000 is waste, so try to unite and fight till end.

Dear SSD,

I have gone through the website and I find it is an alumini association and also a non-profit organization. If the student is not interested in joining how can you force him to join and hold his or her degree. I think Legal action in this connection has already been initiated and why ICFAI should not be sued for all the irregularities they are doing without the fear of law.
