I would like to submit a complaint against vikas. I and my daughter went to icici bank ulhasnagar 5 branch to open a nri account and vikas started discussing about life policy to us. He pressured us a lot to buy the policy. We requested him that we need some time to make a decision, but he continued to force us. He kept calling us multiple times a day to buy this policy. He even came to our house and wasn’t ready to leave until we signed the policy.
He promised that he would cancel this policy later if we were not satisfied and also said that he’d take care of all the process to cancel the policy without costing single penny. We asked him again if there would be any charges on canceling the policy but he kept saying there wouldnt be charges.
We than wanted to cancel the policy and contacted him to cancel the policy. He initially refused to cancel the policy and kept insisting us for days to continue the policy. He than refused to help me with the cancelation process. He kept giving excuses to not cancel the policy. He said that policy can not be canceled until march end. (Which isn’t true). Then he said to wait until we get policy documents to our house. After a week, he said to go to kalyan, its only 10rs auto to go there in a very rude manner. He used insulting language.
The policy is now canceled but around 6, 000 rs charged for cancellation. Vikas and kalyan branch manager assured us that they would pay us the difference if there are any charges and made sure we get everything back. He has no knowledge of anything and how to treat a customer.
