I am using idea's postpaid mobile number (Delhi-ncr region) since 4 years with 300 mb data benefits on monthly basis. On 13-mar, suddenly idea barred my services on this number when i was in roaming and reason given was - "charges for over data usage". Here are some facts:
1. Out of 300 mb data pack, still 26.65 mb data was available in my account throughout the month. So how it could be over data usage. Attaching screen shot here.
2. There was no answer for this barring of services and i have been forced to pay advance amount in order to restore services or asked to wait for next billing cycle.
3. Now, once the bill is generated, it shows big big bug in idea's billing system. Out of 300 mb, they started charges just after 5 mb usage. No one have explanation for this as of now, even they know the fact now. (Attaching screen shot here)
4. After 2 months of struggle, i got a waiver off of rs. 1820. They have charged rs. 1946 in bills, but waiver of rs. 1820 only?? Again no explanation. This is again cheating with customer.
5. I have a mail thread of 60+ mails from customer care to appellate authority, but no one is taking this forward except harassing customer.
Here are my queries:
1. Why idea bar customer services when they don't have any explanation of wrong charges and even they accepted this as system bug.
2. Why their "appellate authorities" not answering mails in this regard (60+ mails thread).
3. They should come forward to accept bugs in their billing system and support customer, rather than harassing customer again and again.
I have decided to file a legal case challenging their billing system and cheating customers faith.
We should by-cot such entrepreneur for cheating customer's favor. Please share this on all possible channels/social media to make it a tough learning for them from customer complaints.
