[Resolved] Idea Cellular — got billed for month on which my number was inactive | |
I was an active idea user from last 1 year with idea postpaid, whereas befire moving to abroad, i planned to deactivate my postpaid connection and switch to prepaid because my i wanted to keep my idea number active due to registered on various accounts. However i went to idea store for procedure where i cleared my outstanding balance with idea on april 4th 2017. And submitted my id cards for prepaid registration of same number. I was informed that my current postpaid will be deactivated in 3 days, and as mentioned i got my number deactivated on mentioned date, and i had my prepaid sim card inserted in my phone and postpaid was of no use. Then i travelled overseas. But when i enquired my family if prepaid number is active, it wasnt active after 5 days too..And after a month i got mail from idea asking for bill payment if next cycle month. I was confused that why should i pay when i completed all formalities for deactivation and cleared my outstanding balance. I dropped mail to customer care for same, but they responded after tooo long that my number was showing active so i will be charged. What is my mistake here and why should i pay for this cycle? By the mean time i got legal notice from idea with court for bill clarification. Now i am staying abroad, and i am really not understanding how could they charge my 1330 rs for deactivated period as my base plan was 444 rs and they say i used data so the bill went to 1330. what the hell?? I didnt even had network coverage and my postpaid card was not even inserted in mobile phone, instead i was waiting for prepaid to get activated. But neither that happened. This is ridiculous service and i dont know what to do now, and why to pay for the other period which is no used at all. And my brother in india is continuosly getting calls that case is being filed against me and all. Please sort this out, and let my charges get waived off, i am not going to pay for the month where my number was deactivated, its your system issue that says my number was active still. I am again giving compalint here, as previously there was closure of ticket as resolved without resolving my issue, I am not sure if somebody here really cares about consumer complaints or not? As checked, you've been charged on pro-ration basis for the data usage and the bill has been generated accordingly as per your plan rental and usage charges. Hence, we request you to clear all your dues to avoid the inconvenience. Also, we would like to inform you that your prepaid account was active with us, but later it got inactive due to tele-verification negative. However, to check the number availability you can visit to the nearest My Idea Store.
