[Resolved]  Idea Cellular — overcharge on international roaming

Recently i activated i-roam pack for usa uc4999 from 7th october for 1 month. It was clearly mentioned to me that the pack was for usa activation and i made sure to use it in usa. While on my return trip, i was charged in germany even though i didn't use the network as i was on layover flight.
I was charged 7535/- in germany which is a ridiculous amount.

I have following points

1) its not my fault. Its idea fault, it caught europe network even though i had purchased usa roaming pack and clearly mentioned that don't want activation except usa.

2) when i subscribed to idea roaming they mentioned about it will stop immediately if charges exceeds to 5000 rs with 5gb limit. Why idea did not stop my phone when i bill exceeded due to their network fault as i had already paid for usa roaming activation.

3) why was my consent not seeked before latching me on any network which i did not ask to be latched on? (As per trai regulation)

5) the idea customer care team said they didn't charge me for canada and charging me for germany. As per uc4999, canada is included alongwith usa, so its as per rule not to charge me for canada. But why charge me for germany even though i didn't use it.

When i asked these question they said they will waive 20% off. When asked for further reduction, they said they will ask permission from delhi circle operation head. Within an hour, they closed the correspondence c[protected] with regret.

This is serious issue with idea. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. I expected atleast some customer friendly response in this situation from the person given the competitive telecommunication situation in india but i was let down and this definitely doesn't paint a good picture for idea treating retired loyal customer of over 20 yrs in this way.

I request idea look in to the matter and give me full waiver for what so ever happened to your technical problems

My network is not working.. it is showing No Service since morning. I have tried to insert my sim in another cell but it is still showing No Service.. one of my colleagues is also using Idea network and hus network is working fine..
