This is regarding refund of advance rupees 1999 deducted for installation.

    I have purchased for freedom pack 1999 through independent tv. Initially, i paid rs 499 as pre-booking charges on (Sun, mar 18, 2018, 5:32 pm ist) and later rs 1, 500 to be paid as 'booking charges'. And as new customers also have paid rs 250 as installation charges. The company, however, said it will give rs 1, 999 as cashback after two years of paid subscription.
    My booking id is 14528408
    What they promised:
    1) the installation will be done between 30 to 45 days. Which crossed almost happened 100 days (Have proof of it).
    2) the installation is never properly done so in start hd channel is missing & box remote never properly configured with tv, almost 20 days.
    3) meanwhile, frequently hd channel start goes down and subscription error and now sd channels like "colors" also start to disappear.
    4) i invested my money for uninterrupted hd channel but due to trai rules changes now they discontinued the hd channels. And there is no update over it when we get it or we don't get it. If we don't get it who will pay us back trai or independent tv or there is some compensation policy.
    5) apart now sd channel like "colors" keep coming and disappear and at the same time, my other box is serving it well. But they keep informing due to some technical error or updates or trai rules changed but no concrete information and no plan of actions with the defined timeline. It's like i launched complaint many times.
    6) more headache is there voice customer care because there is no waiting time announced and at least you have to wait for 30-40 mins sometimes upto 2 hours tell me how we can launch complaint if these kinds of services.
    7) their customer executive is not well informed and trained so they keep repeating polite words but no subsequent problem identification, no resolution time commit. Just excuse running away with the undefined time for resolutions.

    If there is no permanent solution then please help me to get refund my money. And there is fraud case to lurk the people for false commitment for all hd channel free for the year. No matter what but they have to changes with customer consent and inform them in advance but there is no notification.

    Major points to ponder by independent tv

    1) the maximum time duration from booking to installation will be 30 to 45 days.
    2) after completion of one year, the customer has to a regular monthly recharge of rs 300 to avail the loyalty cashback.
    3) those customers who will remain active after 3 years will get the 'refund' in the form of recharge only.
    4) for two years after your paid subscription, you will pay around rs 7, 200 - rs 300 per month subscription. After recharging your set-top box for 24 months, you will receive rs 1, 999 as recharge amount.

      I constantly mail them. They said will install soon but no one help me, also they not refund my amount contact number [protected], almost 3 month pass away i am not getting any positive response, always call-center they said your detils not found, i am too helpless by this, kindly help as soon as possible

        My name is sarath prasad ms, with application number r70002634 on november 3rd 2018. They does not install till november23rd.
        I ask for refund from 23rd november. I constantly mail them.
        I got a call from them saying we will refund. Still january 11th i dont get the refund. So i contact vinay kwatra, independent tv manager. He told refund will be issued within one week. On february 11th again i contact him. He told we issue refund. Now 11th march 2019 i mailed him. He now give me this reply.

          Hi,

          I had booked for independent tv installation by paying rs-1999/- (Rupees one thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine only) with booking id - r[protected].
          The installation has not be done till date, already 3 months passed. When ever i call the call center they assure to install within 2-3 working days. More over the call center lines are very busy and not getting connected. Please refund my booking amount of rs 1999/-

            I had made the payment of rs. 499/- as pre-booking charges on march 15, 2018 for reliance dth service from reliance big tv ltd (Name has recently been rebranded to independent tv). The installation was to be done with 30-45 days and the service should have been started by the mid of september 2018. However, no installation has been done till date and neither is there any proper response from the customer care. Every time i have called at the customer care i have got the same response which is "installation will be done within a week". However, four months have passed from the payment yet no installation is done as on date i. E. 25/11/2018. This is mere harassment of customer. I have patiently waited for over 2.5 months from the initially promised time frame. I want a full refund of pre-booking charges and would also like to claim charges for non-fulfillment of promises.

              I have subscribed for 1 year under freedom1999 scheme of independent tv in december 2018. My customer id is [protected]. The services of my connection are suspended since january 2019. I made several calls to independent tv and lodged complaints. Complaint no. 2618478 dt. 27.02.2019 and 2631179 dt. 13.03.2019 ate still unattended. Set top box is not working and tv screen shows 'no signal.'
              I request you please arrange to look into the matter and ask company to solve the problem at an earliest to restore my dth connection.

                I am a customer of independent tv since november 2018. I am having a network error (#400 signal lost) from a month and the customer care desk has not assigned any executive and no measure has been taken for resolution whatsoever. Please look into this matter as my myriads of calls had no effect on them as i am guessing that they don't want to resolve the issue. It is very frustrating and embarrassing to encounter this problem in front of my guests.

                  I have to inform you that independent tv (Earlier was reliance dth) has removed news channel ndtv india & all hd channels from his dth. We were watching these channel in earlier since last 2 months, we are not watching news channel in dth.

                  We were book this dth only for news channel ndtv & hd channel while independent tv are not providing these channel. If these channel not provide pl. Refund our money sothat we can choose another dth

                    I have registered for freedom1999 pack by paying rs. 500 on march 2018 to get independent tv dth. I got their new connection in the first week of january 2019. During the registration it was promised to provide all channels including hd channels free for a year. Same thing was reconfirmed during installation by the local distributor and also main customer care number even though new trai rule was in effect. Even they told me that i will be migrated to new system without any extra cost. However, slowly they started removing the channels one by one and now i dont have any hd channels at all. When i contacted customer care, they say that i have to pay for hd channels. Is it not cheating or fraud from the company side?
                    I need all hd channels back for year without paying any extra.
                    Please help.

                      Dear sirs,

                      I have applied to independent tv for a new dth connection on 18.12.2018 by paying rs.1, 999 through credit card for which i got the confirmation also.

                      On 20.12.2018 i received an sms giving me the work order no. 968314 and customer id [protected].

                      However, despite calling them on several times the dth connection is not given yet. I had also requested them to refund the payment paid by me in case they are not able to give the dth connection. But even after 3 months
                      Neither have got the tv connection not the amount.

                      Please therefore look into the matter and direct independent tv to pay back the amount paid by me.

                        As i have purchased a jio cable connection first of all you provided with independent tv cable then after one month it began to have network issues and from last one week i am completely disabled to watch tv due to error 400...
                        Very poor service no service engineer till yet visited for repair
                        Pls suggest to complaining it against independent tv in consumer forum...

                          I am the user of independent tv since september 2018. All channels were coming very well in month between september 2018 to january 2019 but now days the hd channels are missing and signal error problem is going on nowdays in my tv. And your policy says that these channels are free for 1 year but this not fair that you create this new problem of signal lost if your company is not able to provide best service so why this offers you give. And if you want to recharge of setupbox then you will contact me then i shall reacharge my setupbox. I shall watch this only one week if your company not give me proper service then i can change your setupbox. I hope you may solve my problem and give me a positive result in future.

                            Company was take 1999 rs of anual charge bt company only given the hd channel services only for two months. This company totally fraud and should be banned. This company is cheating now with all independt television customers. This company has told us that it will run48 hd channels inthe year but after only 12, now the zero channel run in hd.

                            But from 1 Feb they have blocked all hd channels and even half of the sd channels not working

                            I have taken freedom 1999 plan in South region Mysore.. It includes all the channels with all hd channels for one year.But now they have blocked all important channels and provides only free channels, I am colleting people with facing same issue to go for consumer forum.

                            Their complaint number never picked up, if they pick they give same technical reasons and disconnect call very rudely.

                                We request you to please refund the money we have deposited with you as reliance is known for using the poor people money and getting richer.

                                GOD BLESS THE POOR PEOPLE OF INDIA BETRAYED / STUNG BY RELIANCE INDUSTRIES.
                                Booked DTH connection on 7/1/2019 by doing a payment of Rs. 2000/, booking ID is R[protected] and customer ID is [protected], I have marked multiple mails on the customer care maid I'd also, but till date I have not got any Installation or refund against my booking, please help.

The company agreed to provide service for one year. But the company has removed all the hd channels besides reduced some sd channels like ndtv news etc. Tthe company is not providing
                                  Service as promised. Moreover the color combination is very poor as it effects the eye sight.

                                    Independent tv are the worst. I called customer care 10 times that my independent tv not working hd channels not working and there's buffering in channel due to low signal. I'm really disappointed with this product. It's not even work one month properly. I want it correct but customer care aren't doing anything. I[censored] can't help customers then shut this company off.
                                    My Independent TV got installed in October 18 and after few months it has started giving Error 200. Its happening since 29th Jan 2019 and even after multiple times complaint to customer care still no resolution. Everytime I had called, they asked me to keep it switched on as they are resetting from backend and instructed to restart after 2 hrs. Have done this at least 15+ times but no resolution.

                                    It's been more than 1 month not getting any service even after paying complete 1 year charges, i.e. Freedom Offer 1999.

                                    Still keep on calling service center, Nodal Officer No. But NO RESOLUTION till date.

                                    Request you to get this issue resolved on high priority.

                                      Dear sir madam i also purchase new connection of reliance big tv 1 year free pack with 10 hd channels. But few days ago this 10 hd channels and some other channels are stop the company. I always contact to operator help line and request to start this channel again but they says you need to purchase this channel to see.
                                      Pls help me to start my channel again with my purchase pack.

                                        I have purchases for freedom pack through local distributors on 23rd dec. 2018.
                                        In february 2019 my pack is changed without notice me and all my hd channels is removed. It is why..? I cant say.. Ever i called on customer care they informed me to wait for 2 week we are changing your pack are the rules of trai.
                                        On website there are not details mentioned.
                                        But how can i receive my hd and old long duriation pack...? I am not interested in new pack my old pack is sufficient for us.
                                        I am very frustrated with this service.
