IMPROPER, LATE & NON-DELIVERY
Inappropriate way of Delivery of Posts
Respected Sir/Madam,

This is being written with a high level of dissatisfaction towards the Indian Postal Service at my area (Raheja Garden, Nr Wagale Estate Post Office, Thane(W[protected]. I the undersigned is a C.A. and LL.B. and a Court Reciever. I have been noticing for a long time that the posts that I'm getting are always with the in-appropriate way.

Regarding the receiving of my letters, etc. I have observed that inspite of having the post office adjacent to my society still I am facing the following problems:

(1) My letters are delivered to me very late.
(2) Often this letters are accumulated and then all the letters of 8-10 days are delivered at a time.
(3) Further this letters, etc. are delivered to me without the affixing the stamp of date of dispatch of letter and date of delivering of the letter.
(4) I am a Chartered Accountant as well as Court Reciever so at times I have to receive various important notices, judgements, articles, journals and various other correspondences in time which I do not receive in time due to your above modus operandi of not to deliver the letter daily and accumulate it and deliver it after 10 days.

No matter how important and confidential documents it carries but it is always coming very late, without date stamp on the envelope. I'm kind of really worried regarding this issue rather threat. You will be surprised to know that the bills o[censored]tiity services like telephone, electricity, gas connection, etc. have been received very late, sometimes even after the due date.

The postman serving in our area is so careless with the dropping of posts that he doesn't bother to put the mail in the space specially provided for the same. Lot many times I've found the bills of other flats and other wings are lying in my mail box. In our society we have a dedicated mail box on the ground floor bearing the flat number but never got the accurate mails into it. I'm even scared to advise the postman regarding the same as he may do anything with the mails I would be getting in future. This should really be communicated as this gets really frustrating at times. I'm hoping that this would reach to the appropriate authorities for the corrective actions. i have got proof of the entire this improper things which would be shown when called for.

Summary:
1. Postal mails are not coming through safe hands as the envelopes are, most of the times being droped in wrong mail boxes.
2. Postman is very careless while dropping the mail and doesn't bother to ensure the appropriate delivery.
3. Posts are often accumulated and delivered very late irrespective of the fact that it contains the utiliy bills having stipulated due dates beyond which it attracts dis-connection.

I have already wrote a letter to the Post Master in this regard but he has also not taken concrete steps uptill now to improve the postal services in our area.

Please please look into this!!!

I beg your pardon please for disturbing your good self for redressal of my grievances. Facts of the case are submitted as under for your kind consideration:-
It was on 16.09.2011, that I sent a Regd Parcel No.144 of Sub Post Office, Anwarganj, Kanpur containing certain gift items for my younger brother keeping in view the leading time to ensure that the gifts are received by my brother before Dushera. What to say of Dushera, the Regd Parcel could not reach to my brother and all festivals passed on one by one. The Regd Parcel has not received till date.

On 11.10.2011, I have already requested the Post Master to inform me the whereabouts of the Regd Parcel. The request letter was received by hand and the receipt of the request letter dated 11.10.2011 was acknowledged by the Sub Post Master himsel[censored]nder his office seal and dated initial. But till date, I have not received any reply or response from the Sub Post Master so far.

It was on 14.10.2011 that I have sent by hand similar request letter to SSPO Kanpur Nagar. The same was also received under rubber seal of his office and an dated initial. Sorry to state, Madam, reply to this request is still awaited.

It was on 19.10.2011 that I sent matching request letter by Speed Post to Shri Ram Bharosa, IPS, PMG Kanpur. Again I regret that the reply from Shri Ram Bharosa jee is also still awaited.

On 19.10.2011 itself, I sent an application by Speed Post under RTI Act enclosing IPO No.9 4E 481653 for Rs.Ten only requesting for relevant items of information including where abouts of the Regd Parcel. My application under RTI Act was acted upon on 21.10.2011 vide letter No.RTI Act-05/347/11-12, dated 21.10.2011 of SSPO Kanpur Nagar Mandal, Kanpur by sending my application to SPO, Azamgarh Division, Azamgarh for rendering suitable reply by furnishing information sought in my application dated 19.10.2011.

I received a reply from Senior Post Master, Head Post Office, Azamgarh vide their letter No.B/RTI Act-2005/11-12, dated 05.11.2011 informing me that the Regd Parcel No.144, dated 16.09.2011 was not received by them and also that the same was also not received in Sub Post Office, Heerapatti, Azamgarh.

Again I received a letter from SPO Azamgarh Mandal, Azamgarh bearing letter No.RTI/100/2011, Dated 15.11.2011 stating that the Regd Parcel has not been received in Azamagarh Head Post Office for distribution and also; if I am not satisfied with their reply under RTI Act, 2005 I may make an appeal to Appellate Authority Gorakhpur Region Gorakhpur. However, they have not mentioned address/Fax number/ e-mail id etc of the Appellate Authority which should have been done under RTI Act, 2005. Further, I am not satisfied with the reply received from above PIO as I have not been provided the informations sought for in my application.

Respected Madam, now point at issue to which I am more concerned is that I the Regd Parcel has not been received in Azamgarh Head Post Office/ Sub Post Office for distribution where could it had been sent and whether any other person has received it or not. where is the Regd Parcel is kept if it has not been received by any other person. I don't how could I be compensated for the loss of money, loss of articles and psychic problems all over.

Before I make another application under RTI Act, 2005 for seeking further information as regards Customer Care, Post Forum, Dak Adalat, Public Grievance System and Compensation etc , I would like to request your kind honour to be kind enough to intervene into the matter personally by issuing suitable instructions to Shri Kulbir Singh, IPS PMG Gorakhpur Region, Gorakhpur; Shri Chandra Prakash, IPS Director Postal Services, Kanpur; Shri Bahadur Singh IPS Director Postal Services, Gorakhpur etc as your good self may find appropriate and to arrange distribution of the Regd Parcel by locating it otherwise compensate me for the losses.
I shall be personally obliged of your good self if my grievance is redressed with your result oriented intervention.

Dear sir/medam,
My wife has sent my important documents by registered post by the date 28,October-2011 from U.K.Its registered no.is RJ[protected]GB.By going throught online tracking it has been shown at Delhi on the date 2,November-2011.there is no further any information about it.Till today (18,November-2011) there is same condition.I am not getting proper information about it at domestic post office.It contains my important documents.so i Kindly request you to make the further necessory process to get it to me and tracking my post with current update as soon as possible.

My elder brother had send a "a new mobile phone" to me MRP. of 6995/- from Vikasnagar (Dehradun) via Speed Post.
It was Booked on 29/10/11 & was delivered to my college on 3 Nov 11. After opening the box i found it was empty.
Complaining for this in Adambakkam Post Office Chennai, I came to know that what have been delivered to me was by "Normal Post", & it was the very same box that what my brother had send through Speed post viz; no. is "EV[protected]IN".
Firstly the speed post toked these many day & secondly the box containing mobile,reached through normal post, which clearly shows the irresponsible behavior of Indian Post for a parcel that they charge Rs. 150 for delivery.
Website tracking of parcel still waiting the parcel to be dispatched from Dehradun.
I really feel a shame that even today the workers of Indian Post open up the parcels & thief the valuables of customers.
I would placate the Consumer court to take some serious steps to take action against this and either the Indian Post should return my product or give compensation for this.

I had sent registered AD letter from Kharghar post office on 14/09/2011 to Marketing Manager LIC Divisional Office Thane but same had not been delivered tiil now and I had not got acknowledgement so far

I sent my GATE 2012 application form by speed post form Mathura ( Article no: EU[protected]IN) on 24/10/11 to Indian Institute of Science Bangalore- 560012 . Instead of reaching Bangalore, it was midelivered to ROORKEE HO on 27/10/11 and last date for submission was 28/10/11. The attached image shows entire movement of the article. Application status on the IISC Bangalore site also says the same( i.e "The above referred application is NOT Received at IISc Bangalore").

Because of such disastrous mistake,I can't appear in GATE 2012 which has ruined my whole year. This careless act shows INDIAN POSTAL DEPT is not interested ( or unable ) in providing reliable service to it's customers.
Therefore , I request concerned authorities to deeply look into the matter and let me know the status at the earliest.

Our family sent us a parcel of 10 kg from India to Norway. But seems like people from Post office GPO Nagpur (Maharashtra) have opened the parcel after the seal and took some item out. Here some items means 5 kgs of itmes. we are really angry and dissatisfied with this kind of behaviour from people from our hometown. Some action must be taken against them and we are ready to co operate for this.

(PIN Code-742101), but the Addresse complaint me for non-receiving the said MO. Having been searched with the help of tracking system, but the message found that "the PNR No. is not correct". Non receipt of maturity amount
Respected Sir,
My RPLI insurance policy is already matured on dated 22/09/2011 and all the relevant papers are submitted on dated 19/09/2011 at GPO building, first floor, postmaster general (RPLI) Nagpur region, Nagpur-440010. So many times contacted to concerned authority, it is observed that wrong feeding in computer, now corrections are completed but pending for signature. Till the date no reply from the postal authority. My policy number is EA 4036287and name Smt. Priyadarshani Tejrao Jamgade. Kindly take action for payment immediately, please.

I am Srinivasan. residing at 1/597, Bajani koil st, Jyothinagar, Paraniputhur, Chennai 600 122. In our area the post office is situated in a small place. We are not receiving the letter properly. Hence I visited the office and found the office is fully dumped with imcoming letter non delivered. When enquired the concerned person is not at all coming and so many miscellanious informations. We are worried because we are having PPF account, Postal insurance account so son and the entries they are making are really going to the department or not. I tried for the phone number through 197 they told no phone number for Paraniputhur. they have provided phone number for Mangadu ( controlling post office of Parniputhur ) as 29040201. Why dont the authories make a sudden visit to this post office and understand what is going on. Even money orders are delivered after 2 / 3 days. If there is really sincere officers are there please visit.

I sent a very important document by speed post to ICWA, Kolkata, on 01/10/2011 from Roorkee Head Post office (Pin: 247667). Unfortunately however, the document has not been delivered till

10.10.2011 (show in Tracking Status Park Street H.O). Today's is last date,It seems that the Department of Post is not serious enough to ensure proper customer service.

May I request the concerned department to look into the matter and let me know the status immediately?

Dear Sir,

I sent a postal parcel from Sunnyvale, California, USA to my son Vishalvasudev residing at No 15 Velmurugan street, Nandavana mettur, Kamaraj nagar, Avadi, Chennai 600 071. It is a game DVD for children. I my son was waiting for it. The post office has not delivered it yet. I checked at the post office here and they confirmed that it has left US successfully and see a departure scan at Los angeles. They are not able to track the status of parcel in India.

Can you please help it to reach the destination and my son will be happy to see it.

The customs form number on the parcel is LC[protected]US, posted from Sunnyvale US on Sep 22nd, 2011.

I have subscribed frontline and Economic and political weekly magazines in may 2011 for one year. but i didnt receive a single edition till 1 month back. i contacted the companies and they replied in writing that they are dispatching it by India post regularly.
when i enquired it with postman he said he is delivering me all the posts that are with him. upon further probing he misbehaved and went off.
