I agree. I bought a fragrance related item from US and in my case there was no tracking number, neverthless it never came to my home through post. They shipped it via DHL global priority mail. To test if i could get such items i bought a 2$ item and it was shipped correctly. I was under the impression that ofcourse the website is not a fraud one and also i should get the things i buy outside India and get it delivered via post. Next time i ordered 29$ product and it was ordered on 3rd Sep 2008 and another 2$ product on 7th Sep 2008 and so far I have never received it.

I understand that any product marked gift which comes to India via Air Parcel under 5000 RS/- should clear customs without any problems.

But in this case i have never recieved it.

I also bought something else from US website sometime back for 12$ and it never reached my home. I had to inform this to company who sold me the product and get the money back.

In India many government workers (Customs or postal service or cops, ministers, you name it, etc) are real [censored]s. If you strip their pants you will find an extra other than their real one and if you digg deep you will find the products worth other people's money hidden there.

Although this is trivial, no one can do anything about it. India SUCKS!!!

Sometimes, how i wish i was not an Indian citizen for India Raping its people.

christmas gifts — non delivery of package

i am sorry to complaint about the package which i send it by usps priority mail on 2 december 2008. PPf account irregularties
I had PPF account no.381with Sector 22 Post office Faridabad. On my request In July 2008 account was transferred to SBI Faridabad. GPO Faridabad had sent all relevant papers for transfer to SBI except the cheque of Rs.3248 of the outstanding in the account.
A photocopy of the cheque no.679125 dated 26.7.08; Seq. no.[protected] Pres Bank[protected] for Rs.3248 was obtained which was found to have been cleared by Head Post office Sonepat. Since then we are regularly following up with Post offices at Faridabad and Sonepat but with no clue.

Air India Parcel — Parcel not delivered on time

Postal Services / Courier Services — Delivering a cell phone

I had sold a cellphone via ebay (www.ebay.com) to a gentlemen in Tamil Nadu. I tried to send the parcel to him but neither the india post office not any other courier service accepted the courier stating it as "Security" reasons. Now i had gone to an extent to write a declartion form and submit it to the courier service that was ready to take the parcel but not one person agreed on that. I have check the India Post website for restricted items and no where there is a mention of Cellphone/Mobile phone.
I ebay we dont have a liberty to select the buyer and hence i dont have that control. I am however disappointed by the fact that under the umbrella of "Security" companies have started harassing common man. Please help me get this sorted out

I sent a parcel to Bhopa from US in the 3rd week of April through US Airmail. The US post office said that the parcel which contained a valuable blouse will reach Bhopal in 10 days. Now it is fiest week of June and the parcel has not been delivered to the person in Bhopal. Sub;-Complaint regarding material theft from parcel, weighing-6480gms.
Very sorry to state, the on going current affairs of our Post office, the recent incdent happened with me is as under.
I sent one Registered Parcel to Lucknow on 30th july09, from Andheri (RS)Post office, vide no<.4000561> RP B 12, COUNTER NO.2, OP-CODE;20. I was told that this will reach within 3-4 days, where as, it reached on 7th Aug09.There were New clothes in the Parcel, like silk saris, Shirt & pent pieces, and jeans etc, and were sent on the occassion of RAKHI. It is very sad to say that when the Parcel was opened, It was filled with bogus material, and the new clothes were all taken away.
I think it is useless for any one to expect anything in the prevailing situation of the country. But by this I want to warn my friends, and people around, that they may not get trapped like me.

I would like to state that I had sent RTI Cover addressed to the Ministry of Personnel Department of Personnel and Training through speed post from A.P. Central Secretariat Post Office Hyderabad vide
Receipt No SPEN[protected]IN Dated 4th November 2009 and lodged complaint bearing No[protected] on 5th December 2009 As I could not track its delivery I sent a series of e mails to speedmanager of New Delhi but there was no response despite several requests made as importance was involved. Finally the
postal authorities have closed the complaint on 15th December 2009 stating that the cover has been delivered to the addressee on 6th November 2009 and took more than a month to indicate the status of delivery This is the style of functioning of postal department inspite of availability of latest improvised advanced technology I am not in a position to understand the reasons for not responding to my series of e mails to the speedpostmanager New Delhi and there is no justification

I have applied for an Aadhaar card in Puducherry Post office by Enrollment No. 1037/50001/41506 20/12/2011/12/01/25, when I checked the Aadhaar status, It shows it was successfully generated and dispatched to Puducherry, Lawspet Post office on 04.07.2012.by No. UG[protected]N But till the date I did not get the same. When I enquire about it, the post office staff did not interested to respond in responsible manner. They asked me to come after days then they would search and give it . Till then We have not received any information from any end.
Duing the Last 5 Years, we have been made complaint in Kadma Post office, Superintendent office of Jamshedpur Post office at Golmuri, Jamshedpur . Visted several times Purba Putiary Post office, Tollyganj Post office & Baruipur Post office ( KOlkata) in writing ( Document kept with us), But nobody give us a single reply till date . I do not know what is the fate of my balance amount and how can I get back my pass book.

Registered parcel (RL9948) on my name was received on 22/03/2010, and my son was available at home. However the postman has not handed the parcel to my son and left a chit asking us to collect from the post office. When I went to the office after a weeks time, I was told that the parcel was sent back.
when I enquired about the name from where the parcel had come, I was told that we don't maintain such information. Now in such a situation now can I come to know as to who had sent. Further more, postman has not taken trouble to inform us or bring the parcel the second time before sending back.

If you are sure that the RP contained the passport and the postal department is not handing it over to you then it is illegal to retain the passport of a person by any authority other than the Passport Office or the Police in case of any criminal act. The post office can not retain the passport under any legit. You have the full right file an FIR at the police station of the jurisdiction of that post office as well as your residence where the passport was supposed to be delivered.
In case you have been orally asked by the postal person to pay some money to deliver the passport then do include this as an act of bribe taking by the postal department.
Good Luck in obtaining your passport which is legally yours now!

as was told by indian post personnel, a registered mail sent from any place in India hardly takes 15 days to reach Germany. As can be obviously understood from the complaint, its more than 24 days when the mail has not reached. For sure, this is a serious matter, as mail are very-very and very urgent. Its a visa issue of an Indian in a foreign country, and this unexpected postal delay can cause a serious legal issue and therefore problem to the person.

Dear sir.,

I want to bring to your notice that our letters are not delivering to me. For instance i have applied for PAN and received information from Income Tax Department it was dispatched and from that onwards i went regularly to post office for checking my card, but he said there is no card received for me and the same answer given daily for one month. After that i went into the post office and i have checked personally and found it was there in his room. In the same situation for my company registration certificate also came in the registered post, it was also not delivered from one month. And recently one more incident happend i have to receive Import and Export code from Foreign Department in the speed post in this case i have checked regularly from last 30 days, the post man given the same answer but it came and returned to the Foreign Trade Office. And the foreign Trade people not giving by hand and they said it will take minimum 3-4 months to deliver again because they want to investigate the address through proper channel after that only they said will send again to me. It was unexplainable my situation present now i have received a one export order with due date of[protected]. so without this certificate of import and export code i am unable to export the same. We are facing this problem from past 6 months

Please pay special attention to the same as similar problems are faced by a lot of people and according to me strict action needs to be taken immediately.

NOTE: SPECIAL NOTE FOR YOU I MET TO POST MASTER ALSO HE SAID HE IS NOT CONCERNED FOR THIS PROBLEMS AND HE IS NOT GIVING REPLY ALSO, HE WAS HARASSING THE PEOPLE LIKE ANYTHING.

I want to bring to your notice that my letters are not reaching their destinations. I had posted two URGENT LETTERS from Kokrajhar P.O. by general post one on the 7th of April 2012 to Deptt of MIL, Pragjyotish College, Santipur, Bharalumukh, Guwahati-781009 and another on 16th of april, 2012 to Bharti Axa Life Insurance Co. Ltd. Milestone Building, Sixmile, Ghy-781022.Letters have not reached their respective destinations till today. From Dy Post master of Kokrajhar I came to know there are no any record is not being maintained of general posted letters by postal department even people of India pays minimum Rs 5 for every letters of general post. Officials and staff of Postal department are not ready to take responsibility of letters which is by ordinary post. It is very shameful.

Please pay special attention to the same as similar problems are faced by a lot of people and according to me strict action needs to be taken.
The citizens of India have a lot of faith in your department and we do believe that this would not happen again in future.

One document was sent to me by speed post on 27/01/09 and I received it on 03/02/09. The post office where it was posted just 40 km away from me and it is in the mid of the Guwahati city. The destination place is a very wellknown place called I.I.T. Guwahati where hundreds of mails come from different places everyday.
In the address the pin code ( Guwahati -39) and the name of IIT Guwahati was clearly written, but it went first to North Guwahati post office on 29/01/09, rested there for three days and finaly came to IIT Guwahati on 02/02/09. Indian speed post department charged Rs.52/- for it.
Hope the concern offcial will take this matter seriously so that one can rely on the service of the Speed post.

With hope that this complaint be looked into- I had despatched an application to Asst Secretary All India Engineering Entrance Exam CBSE Board Paharganj, New Delhi on 20 Dec 2008. I did not recieve the acknowledgment attached with the letter from that department. I handed over a written application on 11 Jan 2009 regarding the whereabouts of the regd Letter to Post Office Powai-400076. I have not received response from the PO . Subsequently I have Sent An online Complaint on your website the No generated is Complaint No[protected], however your website has not answered the query and the Status is as good as missing. Will this E Mail help? Partly this explains why the Business of Post Office has gone down and other mediums are scoring .What an irony? (Subsequently, when E mail was sent to kapanat @ indiapost as shown on the website the complaint bounced back stating that address does not exist- cheers to India Post)

The Indian Postal System — Mail late or lost

Well thanks a bunch to the Indian Postal Service...
I had to express deliver my driving license back to the UK for a traffic offense that I was informed about after I arrived in India.
The staff in Fort Cochin were surly and after much inquiry I was told that I should send a registered delivery of my license and it should arrive in the UK in 10 working days.
Close to 4 weeks have passed and it has not arrived in the UK and I have had to plead with the authorities in the UK to extend the deadline of the return of my license in the meantime I have forked out 20 pounds on a replacement which will arrive at my home address in the UK in 2 weeks which means the total delay will approach 6 weeks!!!!!
SORT IT OUT INDIA!!!

have sent rakhi through speed post on[protected] to Kashipur addresses. The concerned officials confirmed that normally the consignment is delivered on second day of booking, however, latest by 10th august' 2008, the packets would be delivered to respective recipients.

When I apprehended that will it be delayed because of[protected]being a gazzetted holiday), they assured me that people are deployed on special duty for delivering the consignments.

However, until Monday afternoon, the packets were not delivered. Only in late afternoon, did they reach the respective places.

Had it been informed before that there is no guarantee to deliver the rakhi before the day of 16th august, i would have made some other arrangements?

We, The residents at Suncity sector-54 Gurgaon 122003 facing the problem of No-Delivery of Postal letters/parcels etc forthe last two months earlier the dak was delivered once in fifteen days which has since stopped completely and there is no resolve on our complaint so far.Complaint at local level resulted
in no improvement in the delivery of letters in the township of Suncity.It is requested from the competent authority tolook into our grievance and help resolve this ongoing problem faced by the Residents of Suncity.

Hello all!

I was shocked when i read this! Things cant get worse than this! Is the postal department really serious about maintaining any discipline??? If so..why aren't any rules spelt out with respect to how the public or customers must be treated! Are we all taken for granted? Also, It shouldn't be difficult to have a notice board stating the general rules for postal procedures which will certainly help avoid the long ques and help save time for both the customers and the employees at the counters! The basic 'how to and how much' instructions' can go a long way in helping the customers and also avoid unpleasant situations..most of the time the postal staff are so irritated that they behave very rudely towards most customers! That is really really sad!

sir i didn, t get my pan card to my home i applied on 02032009 but it dispacthed on 1203/2009 till now i didn't get my postal number is 16149571 please accept my request send my pancard as early as possible thank you sir.

The post man of SRIPURA under Jharsuguda HO-Orissa (PIN-768201), is not delivering letters, speed posts, even registered and money order to Vedanta Area. (Bhurkhamunda). As we are staying here from last 3 years on single day he is not delivering the letters. Kindly check and take appropriate action.

This is in reference to my money lyeing with Mahidarpura (station Road) Post office.

I sent a parcel to Coimbatore through VP-P 121 counter no. 3 op-code : mpcm3 dated[protected] of Rs. 434.00. which party paid on 26-12.

my authorised person visited several times at the post office the send him here and there. And no action has been taken. This is not the matter if Rs. 434/- but govt. personel are doing such a major problem to common man.

And to my extent i think that my money is been distributed amongs themselves and making my person fool.

I have sent a application form attached with DD through speed post to The Director Atal Bihari Vajpaee Institute of Mountaineering & Allied Sports, Manali-175131, Himachal Pradesh (India) on 11 Aug, 2009 but i won't be able to track my letter whether it has been recived or not.

On the other hand I have sent my speed post with my FRIEND which having a Speed post No. EM[protected]IN has been delivred on the 19th August 2009 on the same day when i posted to same address from Aurangabad. However, I don't recive any report or Status of my SPEED POST NO. EM[protected]IN Dtd. 11 August 2009 posted from Aurangabad.

The said institute has given time limit for the addmission for the course which I applied, but even i sent my speed post on before time. Who is responsible for my this problem which made by "INDIAPOST"

What is mean by "SPEED" in speed post. When will it be delivered? What to be done to get the mail to be delivered? Can anyone advice.

Non-Delivery of Speed Post from Hyderabad to Pudhucherry

Non delivery of an important letter from Hyderabd to Pudhucherry.
I have sent a speed post Ref. No: SPEN[protected]IN dt. 30 July 2009 from Hyderabad to P.Vengatachalam, I-42 Viduthalai Nagar, Pudhucherry 605 004.

Till to day (5 August 2009) the speed post is not delivered.
I went to post office where it was posted. No answer from them. They suggested the speed post tracking web site. The speed post tracking web site could not track the speed post. It is of no use.

I lodged my complaint to consumer forum, postal department & Mr. Srinivasa Rao (officer in-charge in hyderabad section for postal delay issues on 4th August 2009). No responce from him.

I failed to understand what is happening with all these complaints. Is there any use of these web site.

Please look in to this matter, whoever it is.
