Speed Post Money Order — Non Payment of Money Order

A sum of Rs.1000/- was sent to me by Speed Post Money Order (EN[protected]IN) to my address (St. Thomas Mount Post Office) at Chennai by my father from Hyderabad (Malakpet Post Office) on 09.04.2008. But, till date, I have not received the payment. When my father contacted Malakpet Post Office, he was informed that they are looking after the matter and payment will be made after verification at the St. Thomas Mount Post Office, Chennai. In the meantime, yesterday my father got a letter from the Postal Department, Hyderabad, that payment has already been made. I am shocked to see the letter. I think some misuse of funds has happened in this case. Please advice me properly.

I am a Civil Engineer, Approved Builder & Surveyor. I am doing construction works for all the leading Oil Companies like Bharath Petroleum Corporation, Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and for many other corporate entities. Also I have been registered under TNVAT, Service Tax, Sales Tax and SSI. I am an income tax assessee paying income tax regularly, having an annual turnover of about Rs.45, 00, 000/- per year.
I am having the above current account for the past ten months. While opening my Current Account in the said S.M.E. Branch, Palanganatham, Madurai – 625 003, the staff and the officials of the branch more convinced me that the branch is specially meant for business promotion and shall encourage entrepreneurs like me. On satisfaction, I too have been my banking with the said branch.
In the meanwhile, by my representation dated 2nd June 2008, I approached the manager of the said branch for sanctioning of Business Loan and Cash Credit Facility for me. On satisfaction of my business and the banking transaction, the officials of the branch asked me to produce my I.T. Papers, Projected Accounts etc. After furnishing the same, further I was asked to mortgage a property as a collateral security and to obtain Legal Opinion from Sri. M. Ramanathan, the Panel Advocate for the Bank. Accordingly I submitted necessary documents for the perusal of the said panel advocate and got a positive legal opinion from him.
From 4th September 2008 onwards, daily I had been approaching the Manager of the said branch, along with the said Legal Opinion and other papers. I was asked to approach and convince each and every single staff of the branch. Even after completing the same I was once again directed to every pillar to post. Finally, on 14th Oct. 2008, I approached the manager of the said branch with all my credentials, I.T. Papers, Property Documents along with the said Legal Opinion.
To my shock and surprise, refusing to go into the file, all my papers were thrown out of the table. In an impolite tone, I was told that the bank was not meant for petty builders like me. Even after the scandal verbal attack on me, I tried to convince and put forth my case. Despite, nearly I was sent up forcibly with an advice not to dare again.
I hope like every branch, the branch in question would have given various business loans and Cash Credit Facility for a number of its customers. Like others I am also a customer doing genuine business, having remarkable turnover; having regular banking and ready to give valid and valuable property for collateral security. In such a circumstance, I don’t know, why I was humiliated and for what reason my request was refused even without taking for consideration.
I submit that, I am not at all a person to write such letter like this. At my level, I am entrepreneur, doing genuine business for considerable period of time, having remarkable turnover, profit and having property for collateral security.
Kindly go into the matter, enquire into the same and do the needful.

As i am booking tickets regularly from irctc they have selected me. He also told me that they were one of the approved payment gateway company of Indian Railway. He asked me to pay Rs. 7799 and collect their assured gift of Sony Xperia Tab Z2 which will come around Rs. 35000 in the open market. They also convinced me telling other stories that they are ISO certified company and once the payment is received, their courier agent will contact you and send me the assure gift and given some of the names from kerala who has also won these assured gifts.

After getting the payment from me they have not contacted for 2 days but i regularly contacted them but they are not taking the phone and after 2 days a confirmation call received. I have not agreed their confirmation call as they informed that this is not an assured gift and this is only referral gift. Now we are getting only gift voucher and sony xperia tab.

After collecting the money they have given me a bill too but in the bill it is written that this is a gift voucher which i have not accepted.

On[protected], i have received a courier from their side which is only an application.

Kindly do necessary step to reimburse the money.

I am also trying to track my speed post status on website as it is demading login id and password. On learning from RTO office that a speedpost article meant for delivery to my home was handed over to the Main Post Office Taliparamba 670141 on 8th September 2009, I decided to investigate the matter today 15th September 2009. On my visit to Kuttikol Sub post office they assured me no speedpost article meant for my address, during the period was returned to main post office. At the main post office I learned that around 2000 speedpost articles are awaiting processing as on 15th September, some of these articles were as old as 8th September 2009. Individual Speedpost Customers are never turned back. The article they bring in are processed the very same day. But the large nos of Speedpost articles brought in by Government Offices, Banks, Educational Institutions etc meant to be delivered to the general public are kept aside for processing on first come first served basis up to, in my case 7 days without processing. I paid in advance Rs 25/- self addressed speedpost service that is waiting for my turn for speedpost service for the past 7 days. When I spoke to the Postmaster he said the speedpost article meant for me can not be treated differently and I will receive the article through the sub post office the day after the main post office processed it.
My hats off to Taliparamba Post office for their innovative way to solve their inefficiancy without compramising on efficiancy of INDIA SPEEDPOST. Does this happen anywhere else, I wonder!

Sir, it is already 8 days passed but the Article has not reached the Designated Address. This is very very urgent and needs to be sent to Kolkata after doing some required formalities at Ahmadpur.
In fact it was asked to do Speed Post but the concerned post office at Janpath Post Office informed that there is no facility of Spped Post at Ahmadpur and there by they sent the same by Registered Post.

BEWARE OF SENDING CHECKS THROUGH INDIAN POSTAL SERVICE.

A month back we mailed three blank signed checks that was urgently needed back in Mumbai. The packet was sent via Regd Post to be delivered in Mumbai. For 3 weeks we waited for the delivery and nothing happened. One fine day when I checked tht bank statement online it shows as two checks being encashed by an unknown person. We immediately notified the bank and put a stop payment on the third check. We would like to caution all NRIs that apparantly the main incoming International Postal Office in Mumbai is full of crooks. Thses crooks open each mail to see whether they can steal anything worthwhile and reseal the packages that are useless to them. Possibly the upper management will also be involved in this shady business. SHAME TO INDIAN POSTAL SERVICES. They are a useless and corrupted organization with good for nothing people. IT'S BIG TIME THIS ORGANISATION SHOULD BE DISMANTLED AND HANDED OVER TO PRIVATE SECTOR.

I applied for my son's passport on 03/04/09 in Mumbai. The update is showing passport despatched on 18/05/09 from Passport office in Worli. We stay in Andheri (E). I believe the passport should have been delivered by now. The passport making is already delayed and the delay in delivery is making it even worse.

The bad part is there is no online tracking of registered post. If the postman misses you then there is no way you can find it.

An important cover matters relating to RTI was sent through registered post, acknowledgement due vide no. RLAD A 4505, Dated 8th October, 2009 from Malkajgiri Post Office to The Principal, Bhavans Degree College, Sainikpuri, Secunderabad-500094.It is more than 2 weeks lapsed already but i am yet to receive the acknowledgement card from the postal authorities.The time limit prescribed under RTI Act by the Department of Posts, Andhra Zone, Head Quarters, Dak Sadan, Abids, Hyderabad-500001 have not been adhered to by the postal authorities and will they require such a long time to return the acknowledgement card or important RTI Cover sent by me.The distance between Malkajgiri area and Sainikpuri is hardly 4-5 kms only.Please indicate the status positon of its delivery, Date of delivery to the adressee.
