I had sent a parcel from us to india on 10/20 and it has not been delivered even after one month. For me too its been close to 2 months. Item sent to Canada and only recently updated to received receptacle from Abroad while it indicates it arrived in Canada after custom hold.
I dont know whether putting consumer complaints for INDIAN POST will make any sense because these are a bunch of pathetic losers eating Government's money ( Tax payers money )
From Googling i found the meaning of it being that it is in some container and waiting to be picked. SERIOUSLY!!!
After 2 months its still waiting to be picked. This is the HORRIFIC CONDITION OF AN INDIAN SPEED POST. SHAME ON YOU
Imagine someone from a career standpoint planning a move to Canada. These rats wont even let you do that.

Hey, I am experiencing the same issue. It has been 20 days since the last update which states that "Received receptacle from Abroad".

Did you got your parcel and if yes, how? Please tell.

I send registered post to canada one month ago, but status still send receptacle abroad ( otb)
But not received yet in canada

Same for me .. Indian post should really think on such service or if its not possible please close all such services so consumers can try other options such as pvt courier services ..

Yes, this has happened twice earlier with me. One of my parcel was delivered back to India from where it was posted without any notification and then second parcel was stuck for over a month. Then I checked the Postal service provider of the destination country then only I got to know that Custom charges needs to be paid. There is no notification facility available from any India Post office or at abroad. I am trying one more time last month to smoothly avail the Registered International parcel facility at India Post before moving to the Private ones. This time as well, it has been more than a week, it is still showing 'Received Respectable at abroad'. Still waiting for any update on India Post website or Local Registered Postal service provider website in Abroad.
