India Post — Item stuck with Tracking status "Item Bagged at London AMU" even after 14 days

I had ordered a pair of earrings from "Etsy .com", which cost me £ 13.95 (including local taxes). The order was posted via Royal Mail, UK, later to be delivered by India Post.

However, the item has not been delivered even after almost a month. The last tracking information was updated on 10/03/2022. The tracking status shows "Item Bagged at London AMU". After contacting Royal Mail, they informed me that my item had been stuck in Customs of India.My tracking ID is: LO[protected]GB (it can be tracked via both Royal Mail and India Post).

I am also attaching the order receipt with this mail. I humbly request you to release my product at the earliest. I am ready to pay any legal customs fees necessary. Kindly tell me the procedure.

Hello,
I am facing the same problem. I have posted a small parcel and the status is stuck as Item bagged as described above. Can you please share when did you receive your parcel and is there a way to retrieve any details?

Same with me. Ordered from etsy and stuck at London AMU.
Hi everyone, so I chased the Foreign post office in Delhi and they told me all the international parcels coming from the UK via Royal mail will be converted to unregistered post once they reach India. Apparently, there is currently no contract between Royal mail and India post to deliver the product through speed post or registered post as Royal mail is not paying the appropriate fees to India post. Therefore, your parcel will be delivered to your local post office but there won't be any tracking available for any service. You need to contact the postman or the nearest post office to look for your parcel and deliver it. However, as it is unregistered there may be a possibility of it being stuck somewhere and may not even be delivered.
You can raise the complaint and request compensation from Royal Mail as they are unable to deliver the parcel with the tracked facility they promised. Good luck everyone.
