India Post — my parcel is stuck with the status: retained by customs for unspecified reasons.

Kalina, Mumbai City, Maharashtra, 400098

My parcel coming from netherlands is stuck at mumbai customs with the status: EA[protected]NL.
I don’t know why it’s stuck. I have paid full shipping charges and the parcel doesn’t contain anything prohibited. It has paper bedding for my pet hamster. I don’t understand why would they hold it? Can someone please help me with this.
