India Post — Shipment at KOL AP TMO for a long time

I booked a shipment for United States with a verbal assurance from the officer at the Post Office that the shipment will be delivered in a week. I paid a hefty amount for the shipment, almost Rs:1000 more than I used to pay in the past. Let alone reaching the United States, the shipment didn't even move out of Kolkata and it's been 9 days already. I'm respectfully requesting Consumer Complaints to look into this issue so that the delivery of the shipment is resumed in a timely manner. I have attached a copy of the tracking status.
