I beg to submit my concern about the cheating practice by Bag It Today, giving false promises.
History:
I, A.Abdul Rahman, resident of Trichirapalli (Tamil Nadu) beg to submit as under:
On 10.10.2012, around 11.20 AM, I received a call from customer care section of Bag It Today (Division of India Today group of companies) and one male representative Mr.Rahul was on line, who informed me that I won a a jackpot as a result of an online quiz that I’ve played on the bagit today website in the month of April and had won a jackpot in a lucky draw conducted by Bat It Today. To get this free gift, I have to opt for their premium package worth Rs. 4999/- (two other packages for Rs. 29,999 and the next day a sum of Rs. 24,999/- each) and that the payment has to be made online before 4.30 on the same day. Through a banking agent from their side by name Ms.Divya Mathur . They also promised me that they will dispatch the free gift within two days from the date of receipt of full payment. She had told me that the site is down and she can make the payment from her side and asked my the credit card -HDFC details along with PIN Numbers and had taken Rs-4999/- and she had told me that she will dispatch a LCD TV along with this a combo offer Home theater and done one more transaction for INR-29,999/- on the same day. She also informed me that I will get a verification call within 30 minutes to confirm the order.
As I was informed, I received a verification call from one Mr. Sameer and I heard the different version to what Ms.Divya Mathur was saying and I asked for the cancellation of the order . He told the order is cancelled from his end and will have to get clearance from the agent that had made the transaction and asked me to call her I call, she showed reluctance to pick my call and then picked, While confirming the order, I inquired about the free gift and she transferred the line to the earlier officer to talk to me. She once again promised me that she will deliver the gift items in a couple of days time.
Since I did not receive any information about the cancellation and role back of my transaction, I sent a mail to them to inquire about this. At this time, I informed them to cancel my order and refund me the amount paid by me. They informed me that since the call was verified and confirmed by me, it cannot be cancelled and refund cannot be made. They informed that I could have cancelled the order at the time of verification call and once it is confirmed, cannot be cancelled. Sir, I humbly request to let me know whether any customer is entitled to cancel his order, if he is not satisfied with the service provided by the party. I am at a loss to understand the reason behind their refusal. I am sure, I have the right to cancel my order if I am satisfied with the service or product ordered. IN this case, I made the full advance payment, but not availed of any gift or diamonds , or even not returned duly filled in and signed receipts.
Your good-selves can see that this is a clear cheating and fraud with false promises to mislead the customers to get their business target completed.
In-spite of my repeated requests, they send me the same reply "order cannot be cancelled and refund cannot be made".
I request your good-selves to kindly look into the matter and pass on necessary orders to the concerned person at Bag It Today to refund me the amount paid by me.
Your personal intervention in sorting out the matter is requested.

I was cheated using social engineering technique by Bagittoday of India Today group by a sum of INR-60,000/- Please do help me in getting my money back at the earliest( ASAP) its already 21 days since the transaction was made( Transaction date[protected] and[protected].

I've been repeatedly telling the bagit today team to role back the transaction and refund the money back

Among this is was Ms.Divya Mathur who had taken all my brothers credit card and my debit card details and had booked the purchase from her side.
I did not do any online transaction directly on you site. During the verification call that had happened the same day.
I was told that my PIN numbers are compromised and I 've to change my PIN numbers immediately.
It is a violation of the RBI rules and a socially engineered cyber crime done by your calling agents.
To take some ones PIN number with out their own will of making a transaction and doing a transaction on the persons behalf.
I do not have any intention to take any free gift or any offer given by Bagit Today, it was from your side things are done and your team had done the goof. Neither I have any intention of purchase of any diamond, nor any other product sold by Bagit Today.
I want the entire money refunded immediately not at your own will delayed for 3 or 4 months as said by Mr.Jasmeer.
Just because you have done the transaction at your end by taking the credentials is not an online transaction. It has to be done by the personnel by their own will and by themselves on the website to make any purchase or any orders.
I want to have the refund for all the three transaction that is done from you end by Ms. Divya Mathur on 2 days[protected] and[protected] , She had told that already the combo is dispatched in first flight, but later on[protected] Saturday, I learned from Mr. Sameer that nothing was processed as its a pending issue.
What so ever that is done from your side is a loot and If you think you people are smart and you had won and made the business, then you all are in the wrong.
You will have to face the business consequence of this that you had put me in mental agony since last 6 days and it had caused a big disturbance in my family, which you all will be held responsible and you will have to pay it back in a different forms ( like legal, Media and the like which may impact you all in many folds).
So, I request you to role back all the three transaction and refund my money immediately.

I'm not interested in any purchase of any product from Bagittoday.
I had a call in my phone and was told I had won jackpot but the truth about this is,There is no any written confirmation of the lucky winner from the Bagittoday group and no any other documented evidence is shared for the same and more over the personnel who are calling on behalf are sharing inconsistent information from time to time and they ask for credit/Debit cards PIN and 3 digit numbers on the back side of the cards and credentials
which are very personnel and not supposed to be shared to any third person on phone or over the internet ( to avoid cyber crime) as per RBI internet
banking regulations, which has been asked from us while filling up the form from the Bagittoday personnel end.
So, I would like to have all the transactions with the following Order ID-[protected] , Order ID-[protected] and Order ID-[protected]. ( A FULL ROLE BACK) immediately.
Kindly do the needful to stop the transactions and role back the same.
if you are not ready to roll back the three transactions and refund the entire amount within 24 hours then you all are going to face the total irrecoverable damage.
I'm going to the consumer court and it will get flashed in all the leading media, Websites, Social Networking sites.
We will meet at the consumer court, for violation of the RBI rules in making online transaction ( A suite will be filed against the entire team of Bagittoday in the consumer court for committing cyber crime through Social engineering, in the context of security, is understood to mean the art of manipulating people into performing actions or divulging confidential information. While it is similar to a confidence trick or simple fraud, it is typically trickery or deception for the purpose of information gathering, fraud, or computer system access; in most cases the attacker never comes face-to-face with the victims.)

BagIT Today — Online order not received post payment made
Sir/Madam,i purchased one sunglasses thru bagittoday. till todate i have not received my item. i have already paid Rs. 399. My order no. is 190453, Ref. id. No. [protected]. On 30 Jun 2011 i have received one SMS saying that items has been despatched thru Bluedart bearing c.No. [protected]. I enquired thru Bluedart but consignement was for Calcutta on others name, not on my name.I have given so many email to bagittoday but no response is being given by the company.
