Hi I am another guy who ordered 1 year subscription of India Today Reders Digest and Business Today through BagItToday on 25th May 2010 and today is 29 June 2010, till date I did n't receive the goods. I was supposed to receive a joining gift (Reebok Watch) and a Mitashi DVD Player. I called their call centre no several time and received two / three complaint nos, but whenever I contact them again along with the said number there is no trace out of it, rather they intimate that the order is not updated / punched in their system and please wait for some time !!! Please help by giving any senior official's no and e-mail id so that I can excalate ! My e-mail id is gangadharan.n.[protected]@nsn.com. My Order details are:-

    Today I recd a call from India Today book club (bag it today), I was chased by them for a days on phone. At last I came into their false statements and booked my orders, your sales executive telling me about gold box offers where I would get an assured gift of Cash or Jewellery voucher for rupees 110000 maximum. This was subject to a purchase of Sony Cyber shot mobile and LCD TV and Samsung handycam with Philips home theater and apple shuffle ipod. I have booked my products kit offered by you vide order id nos[protected] and[protected] dated 27.6.2010 amounting to Rs. 15998/ and Rs. 1196 respectively. Again they told me that some person had also won the amount of rupees 220000 but they are not able to deposited cheque/credit card/cash amount today, because this offer valid today only so I will offer you that you have assured won gold worth Rs. two lacs and twenty thousand cash or gold voucher against, you already won gold voucher this time you assure won cash prizes, if you are purchase any item and you will be receiving gold voucher along with the order in gold box within seven days you received the voucher in your mail which you may redeem at any retail shop. Then I have again booked offered by you vide order id nos[protected] and[protected] dated 27.6.2010 amounting to Rs. 10698/ and Rs. 2392 respectively. After booking when I contacted on phone nos. [protected], they were told me that there is no such prize money but orders are booked. This amounts to cheating your customers Please process a refund as I am complaining and also have sent an email to your mail it already requesting for refund. I decide that I personally go in court with this fraud. Sir I am following these persons continuously and have asked to cancel my orders and refund money. These third class persons are not giving any positive reply. They are even not giving contact details of senior persons.
    Sir Please help me what to do now. They have clearly cheated me. How to get money back from them and I also told you why your company doing this type of fraud.

    India Today Book Club — Fraudulent Sale

    I had ordered a 3 package of Rs. 3498 ( 3 days 2 night stay, Philips DVD Player-DVP-3316, RBK Sunglasses) in the name Mr. Ankit Rathi on 7th and 9th-nov-2009 respectively. On 6th-dec-2009 I received the couriers which was including Philips DVD Player-DVP-3316, RBK Sunglasses of each order respectively but the formholiday package of 3 days 2 night stay was not there .

I am also asked to pay Rs.800 in form of DD which was not disclosed at the time of sale.

    An offer was made by bagittoday on 16/10/2010 on my mobile that I won 140000 and I have to purchase LCD Tv for 33900 and Samsung mobile for 14999. I ordered and purchased these through my credit card and they have given me a customer care number [protected] but the number was fake and they didnt made a contact as they have promised. I have made a contact through the number[protected] but they just disconnect, which I get charged for the call. Please do the needful.

      When ever I call customer care they give me lame excuses that, the order is not reflected in their system. But they have already deducted the amount from my account.

      One customer care spokesperson confirmed, that the order has been processed but another spokesperson says that the payment is not confirmed and had asked me to send my account statement.

      1 Year Subscription of India Today — Goods Not Delivered

        I have ordered a Reebok Shoe and a Reebok watch with the total value of Rs.1428 on 26-MAY-2010.
        Its been a month since i ordered and i have not received the product and also could not able to find the
        reason for the non delivery of the same.
        When tried contacting the customer care for several times i did not get proper response.They just trying
        to pass the time by telling i will receive the product in few days, whenever i call.
        I am totally frustrated by their behavior and had a very bad experience with Bag it today. This is my first
        order and i decided not to use this site again. I request the concerned people to take necessary action to get my product as soon as possible.

          Hello Sir,

          I am Sitaramarao from Chennai, I was purchased a Shoe from Bagittoday (www.bagittoday.com) and also i was paid amount which has given by them on 19 may 2010, amount was Rs.1158.00 and Order No:[protected]. They were sent my order by expressit courier due they mistake that packet has been return to delhi on 3rd june 2010. On same day i called to Bagittoday and i asked them when can i expect my order they said 2weeks till now they are not dispatching my order and today i called to them they said again you hav to wait 2weeks. if i cancelled that order for money i have to wait 30days. What is this??

          Even I also placed order 6 months ago. Total India today group is fraud comapnay it seems. Dont leave this issue. I am going to consumer forum
          I have placed an order for a Watch valued at Rs6, 296/- on 04 Sept 2010. Order Number[protected].
          I have called the Call Center[protected] on 4th Oct and they said some how they didnt despatch the items and will despatch immediately. Today we are on 12 Oct and I have not received the Order.

          I tried to call the Call center again today and it is not going thru.It gives one ring and gets disconnected. No one attends the call. I sent them a mail on 4th Oct and no response till date.

          I have purchased sun glass through internet banking on Mar 13th 2011.The amount get detected from my account.But im not received invoice or product from bagittoday.Even there is no acknowledgment email also.
          I tried callcentre number still no one is picking.I never find these kind of worst service like this.If they do like this definitely there will not improvement to this company.I advised my friends to not to purchase.Because of online fraud.

              I am feeling ashamed of the way the Customer care of India today group is responding. It is a highly unprofessional way.You people do not know that I am complaining since last 10 months for non receipt of India today and in my latest mail I have intimated that I am getting India Today only from 1st May, 2010.. You have yourself agreed that due to some problems of vendors, India today could not be delivered to me and still you are extending the subscription only for 3 months. I have already asked you that I do not want to continue your subscription and would like to get my money back immediately. I have spent lot of time in correspondence and there is no one who is bothered about the problem of customers. Is there someone in India Today to whom I can address my problem or can you tell me the mail of Mr. Purie.

              Hi Everyone,

              I am a resident of flat No K-45 Ridgewood estate, Phase 4 DLF, Near Galleria Market, Gurgaon staying there from the last 8 months. I took the decision to stay in Ridgewood Estate just because of Security. Security was my only concern. I am very unhappy with the DLF as my Bike got stolen on 1st of June 2010 from the parking area no K-18 below the building inside the campus at 3 PM where around 200 guards take care of security. No action has been taken by Police and DLF Security as the FIR was lodged on the same day itself, FIR no 212 in Sector 29 Thana, Gurgaon. I called several numbers of times to DLF Security but no one gave response and disconnected the call. I waited for the police to come till now and now it’s the time to make aware people about the DLF societies is no more a safe place to live. I would request you to please forward my request to the concerned people to necessary action to take place. You can contact me at [protected]@gmail.com .

              Also, I requested the president and Vice president of the society to take care of the issue. They just sympathized once and nothing has been action so far .

              I have also requested people through other means to take care of their transport means and house equipments themselves as there is no more safety in DLF societies and flats.

              It’s been 25 days now. I am without the transport. I am aware how much it is difficult to live without transport.

                India Today Book Club Team,

                My ITBC membership # is ITBC09123188.

                I have posted my filled up voucher (ITBC10494) along with the Demand Draft of Rs. 899/- a month ago to Big City Promotions. I am yet to hear from Big City Promotions / your organization about the confirmation of dates and destination. I need to plan for the same.

                I have been making calls to the Big City call centre number published[protected], but it goes unanswered. When I call up the original number that was given in the promotion mail[protected], I am always told that they will give the message to the concerned department and they will get back to me after 5:30 PM. But nobody from Big City Promotions has bothered to call me yet. They call centre executives have also refused to share any alternate contact details of Mr. Kunal Shah.

                This is pathetic service from Big City Promotions, to say the least, and India Today group is also responsible for associating with such an unprofessional organization.

                As if this is not enough, Big City Promotions has the audacity of charging Rs.899/-, when the original promotional documents mention Rs.800/-, in an act of clear violation of contract. I chose to ignore this violation as the amount was not substantial. However, if my issue is not resolved in the next couple of days, I will have no other option but to take legal recourse against ITBC & Big City Promotions.

                Dear Sir/Madam

                My name is Vishnu R.Nair and my ITBC membership no. is ITBC08815335. I had purchased a Swatch Irony Chrono Black from India Today Book Club (order no. MITBC-WEB[protected]. It worked fine for 2 weeks or so and then the 1/10th second counter of the chrongraph stopped working. So i called up ITBC customer care and i was told to courier it back for replacement, with a photostat of my purchase document. And as mentioned i couriered it back to ITBC via Professional Couriers (Courier No. BLR[protected], which was delivered to ITBC office on 16th Feb 2008. I called up Professional Couriers, New Delhi office and they informed me that it was delivered on that date and they gave me the contact number given by the person who collected it as 40502424, which is your customer care number. So iam convinced that the delivery was made.
                But i have been calling up ITBC customer care for the past 2 weeks and they say that the delivery was not made and when i say that iam sure about the delivery they say that it has not been updated in their system. This has been happening for the past 2 weeks. Please look into the matter and do the necessary at the earliest. I purchased the product purely going by the reputation of India Today and i dont want to end up in the wrong side in that regard.

                I had ordered a Digital Camera on tele-call from India Today Book Club using my credit card, as they are able to deliver this with in a time frame they committed i cancelled this order on 11th August 2009. As it is more than 3 weeks are past there are so many mails follow up from my side asking for the refund and in every mail they are saying it will take 25-30 days for refund amount. Please help me to get my refund of Rs. 5998/-

                I had been promised gifts by India Today Book Club including 3 round air tickets to any destination in India & a2 night 3 days stay in a luxury hotel in India along with a digital camera & other merchandise. the people who contacted me where-DILIP& AKASH from India Today. i have already paid Rs.5784 through my credit card & my bank confirms the credit of the amt.                 i have tried to explain you in all my emails that i am waiting for my money to refunded back to me since August of 2009 and all i am getting is fake promises, please let me know what step i need to take to get my money back if required then lets go to consumer court however please keep in mind that if we do settlement in consumer court then you'll need to pay much more then Rs. 5998.00/- becasue then i'll ask for all the interest i have paid since August 2009. if you read all my emails then you'll see that i have been really patient & co-operative in everything however there is limit to everything.

                This is reference to one of the order's which i have placed with India today in August for a kodak digital Camera, the camera was not in good condition when received after that i spoke with your executive and i've been told that please send back the camera to B-47, Indira Enclave, Neb sarai, New Delhi - 110068. I sent the camera back and its been delivered on the 25/09/2009 and i've been told that your money will be refunded back to you within 15 days. its December now and i am still waiting for my hard earned money to be returned back, when i place this order my credit card was charged for Rs. 5998 and every month i am paying interest on this money. on top of that whenever i call at[protected] i need to hold on for atleast 20 mins. I am in mumbai and you can very well imagine that how much it costs for makng STD calls everyday for 20 mins.

                I fully agree with S.Gundecha because same thing is happened with me also. My ITBC No.5191submitted Voucher on 3 Feb 10 with payment amount Rs 899/- with destination dates of May & june 10, Till All my destination places dates exired, When ever i tried to call at the mentioned number, First every 30 minute number is busy, after that when excutive comes on lines they always says will be contact in next two days and no body resonse and I also send email my times but no one response till date, I am really fed up and harrased for said kind of service dont know how they are run organisation in so much competitive business... I also want to take legal action against said organisation Please guide

As per terms, they had to despatch the materials within 2-3 weeks time. But, after receiveg the payment, they have started giving fauls informations and telling lies one after another. From 16.06.2010 to till date i am contacting them over phone and sending email messages daily, but all my efforts are invain. I am pasting herebelow a part of the correspondances exchanged between bagittoday and me. This is only a part of my correspondances.                     Hi, i am Noor ahmed from karnataka, i have booked a Reebok fitness kit at india today group and initial i said that i wil pay on delivery when i called first time on 5/10/10 but after some time i got a cal from concerned deprt. and they insisted me to use any debit card if i have, so i used my sister account of cenera bank and i made the payment and they said they have recieved my payment also, but after 15 days when i contacted custme care they said they have no record in their data base regarding my peyment, and every time they are saying 3 different boking id and still they said they have to clearify my payment by accounts dept. i already mailed my payment detail through scaned sopy, please check that and dispatch my goods.
                    My payment entry is like this

I got the confirmation call after the transactions and I confirmed the same and asked to sent the details of the transactions via mail and SMS. The needful has not been done. And till now there is no delivery and details about the dispatch. The promised 21 working days has already passed I guess. It's herculean task to get connected to your customer care no. Once got connected and there is no positive reply. Kindly let me know the status of dispatch and delivery no if already dispatched.                     I received call from BagitToday on or around 20th Dec.11, and some gal whose name is Neha, consistently let me convince for her Gift items . I also consistently ignore her calls, but on 21st, i received a call and talked to her . She told me that i have won diamond worth of Rs. 30000, + A geyser + other accessories . And she assured me that all these items will be delivered on my address after gettting registered myself by depositing the sum of Rs. 18999. She also consistently talked with me, but, after two to three days, i started getting calls for verifications on regular intervals, they just use to call me that this is verification call and they are confirming my Addresses alongwith other terms and conditions. Again they called me on 28th Dec.2011, and rring me re-register my self on payment of Rs.18999 again, while the person calling to me was assuring me that if you can not deposit this amount at once they will do it on installment basis, but, while i checked my account, then i saw that they had withdrawn all the amount at once. They are really a cheater. No one should believe them. A PIL should be filed against them.

                      I purchased online a pair of Reebok Shoes through the website Bag It Today, a group company of India Today Group, on 30th Dec 2009. Since it was my first order to them, i was assured a free gift also (Reebok wrist watch). But till now I haven't been delivered any goods. On the website it was given that my merchandise will be delivered within 2-3 weeks. But after there was no response, in January last week, I called them on[protected] and the customer care executive there told me that due to technical failure, my order was not dispatched till now, but he assured me that it will be delivered now in 15 days. But till now I haven't received it. I tried calling them in the last two months, but noone picked up the phone. Also I was unable to access their website www.bagittoday.com since then.

                      In my opinion, I feel cheated and considering it as not a genuine company. In the past, i had a good relationship with the India Today group when i used to subscribe to their magazines and also their free gifts were delivered on time. But now, they have lost all their reputation by launching their Book club Bag It online shopping portal. I would like to formally make an online complaint in this regard.

                      For more than a year ago, I ordered a pair of Reebok Sun Glasses to ITBC. The ITBC No. is 0970967. The googles were sent to me. These were sent back to Bag it Today in Januray 2010 as these were in broken position.

                      Since Januray I have contacted several times but everytime the standard answer is that these shall be mailed within two - three days, But no relief yet.

Everytime, the personnel there viz., Akhila,Ranjana,Kunal Shah evade by giving some or the other excuse.Voucher no. is ITBC17001. If I mail to customer care, the usual response is "the complaint has been forwarded to the concerned department and needful will be done ASAP". I have sent many mails so far but, no action has been taken. I would request you to kindly look into the matter and take severe action against "BigCity" and "IndiaToday" to prevent them from cheating customers like me.

                          India Today Book Club — no delivery & no refund

                          After getting a mailer from India Today Book Club for a combo offer of a Digital Camera with holiday and air ticket offer, I placed the order for the same (Order no M-COMMERCE/ 0GA[protected] Date is 27-OCT-09). The order value was Rs. 5298 which was fully paid upfront by me through credit card.

                          On sending a reminder for the same after not receiving the item for next fortnight I received a mail from the company on 14. Nov 09 which stated that the ordered item is out of stock and asked for my credit card statement for processing the refund. Accordingly i sent them the credit statement showing the payment of Rs. 5298/-. After waiting for 15 more days and after receiving no response from their end I called their customer care No. and i was told that the item was sent and has been returned as undelivered. This was a plain lie as no communication was sent to me in this regard. On being asked for a refund the customer care executive stated that this will take further 25 days to process and refused to provide any address or any alternative numbers for communication in this regard. I sent several reminders to the company in this regard but except for one email response claiming to look into the matter no action whatsoever with regard to refund of the amount has been taken by the company.

                          From the harrowing experience of mine I would like to inform all readers to forewarn about the working of this company "India Today Book Club" that lures consumers by sending mailers promising bargains and fancy offers and gobbles up their hard earned money leaving them high and dry to communicate with a company that operates like faceless, nameless ghost. This company ITBC is a scam that is like any other fishing scam on the net. BEWARE of INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB

Talking to their customer care is futile as they parrot the same line over and over again "it takes15 days to process the claim" and just dont listen to what u say or take cognizance of the fact that its been 3 months since they promised to refund in 15 days. I am again been told to wait for another 15 days and that some code has been generated for refund.

                          so now i am sending them legal notice for immediate refund and will follow with filing a case against their fraudulent and unfair trade practices in the consumer court asking for full refund with compensation for mental harassment and financial loss by way of paying interest on credit card payment.

                          I once again ask ITBC for full refund immediately and avoid legal action.

                          India Today Book Club — No order processing

                          My order for harddisk (with free reebok watch, reebok wallet and keychain, and the free travel/hotel bookings) was confirmed on 2nd Feb 2010. When I called on 12 Feb 2010 I was told that it is in process and it should be delivered soon.

                          But when I called today (24 Feb 2010), I was told that the processing has been closed on 17th Feb 2010 itself as the product is out of stock.

                          No one in ITBC/BagItToday had the decency or courtesy to let me know that. I came to know ONLY WHEN I called ITBC the status and that they are starting the process for refunding the money. Dont know by this rate when will the refund comes...

                          When charging the money from customer, they do that in a single day, then why can't it be the communicated (let alone returned) in one day? That too without the customer calling?

                          They send lot of emails advertizing their products. Then why can't they send one simple email letting the customer know the status of his order? That too when they have cancelled it without informing the customer?

                          Calling their customer service failed to get me the answers...:(

                          I am sorry to say that it has been a really a disappointing service. For me it looks like a ploy to use customer money without any charges/interest.
                          Even after one week, they are still saying that the refund is IN PROCESS and it will take some more days.

                          Bull- service this company offers...
                          2 months since I logged complaint...
                          Still no solution...I keep on getting replies like, "It will be processed in few days, please bear with us"...


                          All customers, please do not deal with ITBC at any time. They are a bull- fraudsterswhioo are only after your money and NO SERVICE.

                          ITBC India Today Book Club — No refund against several reminder

                          On 21st Mar' 2010, Mr. Naveen from Sale, ITBC has called me around in between 11.00-13.30 hrs and told me that I have won Rs. 40,000.00 in sweepstake offer. I will get a cheque or DD of amount of rupees forty thousand if I purchase the Blackberry Gold phone of cost Rs. 29,999.00. As at that time I was planning to buy a mobile phone, getting this offer from ITBC, I have made a transaction for Rs. 29,999.00 through my credit card for mobile phone-Blackberry gold. Mr. Naveen told me that I will get the e-mail with 24 hrs regarding DD/cheque of Rs. 40,000.000. When 5-6 days passed and no mail I received then I contacted at customer care center of ITBC it was told me that till date there is no declared sweepstake offer in my name.
                          As I need mobile phone, I have purchased it from local market.

                          Since than I have written several mail, contacted several times customer care center, to cancel my booking ID[protected]. But till date they could not generate refund ID against my booking.

                            IF I BUY - a camcorder worth of Rs. 7498/- from their company, i will be getting the following
                            a) I will be automatically eligible for their montly India today context and the chances of winning 12 lacs cash prize or SX4 Car or One Lac in the form of lucky dip. (Plus)
                            b) I will be getting at Travel Gift Voucher for 4 days and 3 nights stay in premiur club resort in India (Plus)
                            c) I will be getting a guaranteed gifts worth of Rs. 10000/-

                            Due to such a lucrative and mouth watering offer i had made the payment through my credit card and bought the camcorder on 13th May 2010 vide booking #[protected], Order # OGA[protected], Invoice # ORA[protected]. On 30th of May 2010 i have received my camcorder but i never got the above promised gifts sofar. I have contacted the India Today Book Club and i got no valid response sofar. The Unique number they quoted is never worked and their phone number is useless. I have made several attempts and wrote e-mails to them but never got any constructive answer sofar.

                            Overall, i have been cheated by the company very wisely. I request you to please treat my statements as a compliant and lodge the case against Living Media India Limited - India Today Book Club.
                            Further, As per the limited understanding i have about the law, this case will attract the provision of MRTP act and as well as Consumer Proterction Act.
                            MRTP Act - Forced Sellling, is an Unfair trade & Restrictive Trade Practice.
                            Consumer Prtotection Act - Deficiency in Service, Flase Promises & Fradulent Committements at the time of selling the product

                            LIVING MEDIA INDIA LIMITED/INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB — Cheated on Gift promises

                            I cant believe that the company like India today is cheating public with free offers.

                            I booked AGATHA CHRISTIE set of 7 DVD and was promised some good free gifts.

                            But when I received the invoice, there was no free gift. They asked to log on to some site with unique number. The site kept on complaining about wrong unique id.

                            When I called up the customer service, it took 15 min before someone can pick up the call. They gave another unique number and told to try after 24 hours. After 24 hour, it was still giving same problem of not correct unique id.

                              I haven't received my gift till date. I had book the item "Reebok Watch" in the Feb 2010. For this I received an Order Confirmation mail on 10th Feb 2010.

                              Later, on 7th March 2010, I received another mail stating the shipment was returned back as item was damaged in the transport.

                              Again on 7th April I got the call for confirmation of Order. *th April 2010 I received an email stating order confirmation with the number 0EA10000306 with order date as 7th Apr 2010.

                              When I inquired with the courier service on 21st April 2010, said they didnt received the shipment and they sent and email requesting India today to resend the Shipment again.

                              On 22nd April 2010 I got the call from[protected] asking for the confirmation of the address as they are resending it again.

                              in the second week of march 2010 i got repeated calls from a telephone no[protected]/ 200 claiming that they are calling from india today book club new delhi and informed that i have been selected as the winner of a cash award of RS20000/ and to claim that i have to purcase a product.i booked a samsung omnia by keying in my atm card details on my mobile and paid around Rs 13, 995 which was found debited from my bank account next day it self. i was told that the product will be delivered within 10 days along with several free gifts. i contacted [protected] ext-1 several times after that and i was given only evasive answers and till today i.e 21 st April 2010 (almost one month after the booking date)i have recieved nothing from indiatoday book club and i am feeling whether i have been taken for a ride by them. please inquire and arrange for the delivery of my product aling with the giftts or take sutable action against India today book club.they have given this as my membership number[protected]. please look into the matter very seriously.

                                I ordered for a set of Surat Diamonds jewellery thru an India Today Book club promotion. I was charged Rs. 3000 on March 20, 2010 thru my credit card SD/2010/5630 . A few weeks later I got an email saying that there is a delay in delivery. Subsequently I requested cancellation of the order and a refund of my money. But their reply now says that they have not received any payement and therefore nothing can be done!! It may be noted that the invoice that was generated and their emails, none have any address or phone numbers. The whole India Today Book Club seems to be a fraud. I think we all should file police complaints against the ITBC people in our respective police offices.

                                  i ordered a watch from bag it today.. subs of india today book club, wide order numbero 0GA[protected] for Rs. 299, had to wait long for the delivery, upon receiving the product found that, they have sent me a different product - I paid for the round dailed watch, which was displayed on their web page, received squared one.. more over it was broken, the hour and minute needles were hanging.. send mail reg the same and also called their pathetic customer care.. (have the chain mail at lest 20 of them), later as adviced by those genius agents, send it by courier which costed me 250 Rs. sent the scanned copy of the bill to them, again no response.. sent many mails.. they confirmed that they will replace the watch and refund the courier charges.. 4 months passed no response.. when you call their customer care.. after few mins of talking.. they hung up call on your face.. couple of times.. while i was speaking to them.. agent disconnected call.. who will stop these guys...

                                  i still have all the chain mail.. it will be usefuly... in the consumer court.. just need to file complaint about these guyz... if somebody wants to face real night mare.. shop with bag it today....

                                  India Today — No response from the company

                                  On 27th APR 2009, I ordered a diary of india today and i made payment through credit card but till today i have received anything except a mail of confirmation and claiming that they will give deliver with in 10 days. i am calling on the number they mentioned in the mail but no one receives the call. i wrote a reminder mail but there is no reply for that mail.I have not seen such a shameless team of people and not expected from a group like india today.

                                  India Today Book Club — Defective Items Received & No response from Company

                                  I had ordered a 4 CDs set from ITBC, and i was promised a free gift of watch with the order.
                                  On receipt of the CDs I noticed that two of the CDs were damaged (scratches, leading to jumping of the tracks) as their cases were damaged. The third CD does not play on any of the Music Systems, although it plays on the PC (only). Further, i realsied that i have to claim the free gift separately (on the net) and for that I will have to wait for another four weeks.

                                  I wrote twice to the company at the mail id provided on the product (on 15 Aug and 30 Aug 09), but have not yet heard from them. Further, i am yet to receive the free gift also.

                                  Such insensitive behaviour from a group belonging to the esteemed 'India Today' is actually surprising. They need to be more responsive to customer complaints. when it comes to tele marketing, i receive so may calls from their call centre, but those personnel do not want to address the customer complaints !!

                                  India Today Book Club — Non delivery of product/refund

                                  I ordered Philips Home theatre on 4th July 09 ( order ID [protected]) with a committment of 15 days delivery period. After calling no. of times and writing mails , they had different excuses such as product was out of stock , there is system problem, packing problem and lastly that the product cannot be delivered at your registered address ( How they booked the product at my given address, they should first verify for the delivery service of their courier). Then I request for refund and they promised to refund the money in 21 days. Now I got a mail asking for the submission of scan copy of credit card statement showing the payment to them. How it is possible that without getting payment they had processed my order. Why they cannot check from their system. As now I does not have the statement, and requested to see at their end and refund my money. It seems this is a fake company and cheating the people. Its my humble request to the cunsumer forum to intervene and help me for the refund of Rs 7580/-. I had the worst experience with this company as the reply from their phone service is very casual and same all the time that you will get your product in next 7 days positively without going into actual facts. Please help.

                                  India Today Book Club — received broken product

                                  I had placed an order for Benetton Sunglasses. I recieved the product and made the payment. The membership number is ITBC09961722 and invoice number is 0RA[protected] dated 11th June 2009. When i opened the packing a glass was broken. I called customer care and they told me to send it back and they would send a new piece. I send the sunglasses back within 3-4 days but still havent recieved the replaced sunglasses. On calling the customer care number, everytime they say that the details have been not been updated, we will update the details and you will get the replaced sunglasses within 20 days but nothing has been done about it.

                                  Today at around 6 pm, I received my order... regret to inform, the moment I opened the package all the excitement i had about the india today group had broke... 2 reasons for the same..

                                  1. I got a defective watch.. where the minute needle moves freely... (i.e. if the shake the watch the needle moves... other problem.. i am unable to reset the time... as the time set button doesn't work.. to summarize.. it doesn't look like a Reebok watch.. instead.. looks like a cheep quality watch (defective) which is sold on the road side for Rs 20.

                                  2. the watch I received isn't the one I ordered. In your website the picture is shown for a Round dial watch.. the one i received is the square / rectangular one.

                                  hence, requesting you to make necessary arrangements to pick up this defective watch and replace with a good and preferably round dial watch (which is shown in your website, by looking at it.. i ordered), if not please do refund my amount...

                                  thanx for your response. I also called your customer care department, they also suggested the same, (to return the product and the product will be replaced, and i will be given back the courier charges),

                                  i must say that... this is the Worst Customer Experience of My life... delaing with you ppl.

                                  after numreous phone calls... tons of mails... no action is taken..

                                  when i call your support... explain the issue to tech... post asking for supervisor, , .. even after informing not to disconnect... YOU PPL DELIBARATELY DISCONNECT CALL... when you cant answer / resolve customer queries on phone... why do u ask us to call the number...

                                  PLEASE MAKE A NOTE THAT THE MONEY IS SECONDARY... Rs. 550 surely wont make any difference in our day to day life... here the point is about THE TRUST / BRAND / THE PROMISE YOU MADE...

                                  India Today Book Club — Defective and incomplete product not replaced for the last 6 months

                                  I had placed an order on bagittoday.com, order id[protected], artdinox 55 pc dinner set on 28/04/10. Billing Id:[protected] Date:[protected]:07:10.0 Mode of payment: Credit Card/Debit Card Total transaction amount: 6698.0 I received the courier on 03/05/10 and found out that 2 quarter plates were broken and 6 small bowls were missing. From that day till now I have send them 6 mails and made 12 phone calls. Initially they said that withing 15 days they would replace the product, In August twice they said (response center floor managers Aadil on 6th and Kapil on 14th) that the replacement has been approved and next three days the courier guy would come with the replacement. Now this month they are saying that they are out of stock therefore we cannot tell you by when the replacement would happen. Its been 6 months since the payment.
                                  Same incidence with me too... Too bad service and really these are fake guys...
                                  One thing I would like to say that there'll be always deceiving people.

                                  First of all, we should not bend down for all these stupid/time consuming promotions. We should treat such mails as spam.

                                  I can surely say that you wasted lot of your valuable time concentrating on this issue...

                                  Instead complaining...at least from now on wards beware of all such dirty promotion mails/adds (which are ruining the name of INDIA by keeping our country name).

                                  I didn't do my homework before odering a silver leaf jewelery bag for my Wife. I received this e-mail on 28th March declaring me as a winner. I was offered a bagful of stuff for 399. I thought how bad it could be atleast i will get the beautiful bag shown in the pic, and stuff would be additional. The stuff came in an ordinary plastic bag and the jewelry is not different stuffs rather there are only 3 things - 1 pair of earring which looks like not more than Rs. 5, 1 bangle which is huge to be worn in wrist of a girl, it was loose when she mockingly tried in her ankle.                                   don't worry, they are the biggest chors ever in the world. They said I won a gift hamper of 3999/- and I have to PAY ONLY the shipping charges, took 600/-. And you know what I got? A bloody piecess worth some garbage, they are FRAUDS, they should get any licence for the same. I think we should complain this kind of business ethics to consumer court and have their licence null and void.

                                    I failed to get my order,i place order of 2 Reebok watches and they send free one, I checked with them and they not inform me properly...so far almost 54 days now ..I didn't receive the Reebok watch.                                     This is Sai Pratap from Bangalore.
                                    I had placed order for three watches on[protected], with Order No:[protected], I paid about Rs. 8700+ including handling charges of Rs.299/- for 3 watches. The executive who made the booking told his name is Vikram.
                                    But, as I dint receive any reply from Indiatoday I called them on[protected], after spending more than 3 hours and calling nearly 8 times, with all efforts I was able to reach the person so called Vikram who had booked my order earlier.
                                    But, I received a shocking reply from him that, my order is not dispatched as whatever handling charges told by him is not correct, and I have to pay handling charges individually for each watch amounting to Rs. 299*3=897, I was wondering how a company like Indiatoday cheat people like this taking handling charges of about Rs. 900 for dispatch of watches with in India, even though I ordered in one single lot, they also told me unless I make this balance payment for another 2 handling charges my order wont be processed.
                                    When I indicated that it was Indiatoday who told the charges earlier and billed accordingly on my credit card and happily taken my money. And also when I pointed their second mistake, India today should had informed me immediately after the booking date that additional handling charges to be paid, and why they kept quite for 20 days and that too when I called then only they replied the status, this clearly shows the kind of services they are running, and their was absolutely no answer to both of their mistakes.
                                    As on date[protected] it is almost 40 days I paid money and I am yet to receive my watches, worst thing is no one will give proper answer for the status of my watches.
                                    Its high time that some one from India today who is responsible, should take account of this and initiate immediate action in dispatching my watches and take necessary action for the shoddy work done by their staff.

                                    After waiting for the order for 20 days, I approached the Customer Support who told me that my order is been despatched through regular Indian Post and asked me to go to near Indian Post to check out on my order and get the status providig me with the consignment number as 1087566.
                                    I dont understand that if they have sent it to regular post then how am i supposed to pay and why isnt it reached me yet and when they said that it wont take more then a week.

                                        Two days back I received four CDs 1) Mountains, 2)Deserts, 3)River and 4) Valleys. All are found to be totally defective. How can I get replacement or my money back?

                                        Just received an sms from my Credit card company that an amount of Rs2646/ has been spent through authorizing number 948373 at 12.51pm today that is 5th June 2012. I have not made any purchases and as such there seems to be some kind of a fraud. Please check up and infor me ASAP.
