Driving is a dangerous task as one's fault can take many lives. Indian army is there to protect us, and we as indians are highly indebted for the sacrifices they make. As it is said, "with great power comes great responsibility". I, along with many others, have noted that the army men are not the best drivers. Sudden cuts, driving closely, and subconscious driving is observed by the civilians when looking at army vehicles. We all agree that driving military trucks is not a simple job, but that doesn't mean you risk other people's lives. It has happened twice with me that army vehicles have suddenly cut in front of me and with very little margin i have been able to save myself. As if that was not enough, the army vehicles do not stop and the drivers generally have an arrogant grin on their face as if they know we can't do anything to them. This has been observed not only by me but many others. I believe that there should be proper driving programs set by the army before handing over military trucks or any other powerful vehicles to them. I respect the fact that i am writing this email because i can safely sit in my house (All thanks to the indian army), but this does not mean that they can drive rashly around on roads which may lead to taking lives of other civilians. I hope this complaint and recommendation will make a difference because there are very few who complain and i wish to see proper army driving camps in order to make better army drivers.
Thank you
Best,
An indian.
