I am a pretty old customer of IOB bearing customer id 10955012 in Barabati stadium branch, cuttack, Odisha. There are few fixed deposits in this branch by my family members apart from sb a/c. Today (09/07/2018) I visited the branch for updating of my SB A/C no.1595 and requested the employee named Sudhanshu Das to update it and handed over the photographs to be the part of pass book as per the Bank's rule. The subject employee immediately bounced back on me in a rude and crude manner asking me that " He is not sitting there to paste the photographs in the pass book". The tone and tenor of the employee was extremely bad and unbearable. As a matter of fact I didn't ask him to paste the photographs but to authenticate the pass book with photographs duly stamped over it. Such behavior of your employee makes me to think twice to continue my family accounts in IOB further.
It is needless to say that loosing customers shall not only affect the business of public sector banks which are already in bad shape and Govt. is seriously thinking of winding up few public sector banks but also the private banking sectors which have been providing the best of services will take the advantage. As a senior citizen of the country may I request the Team IOB to teach their employees to save the fate of nationalized Banks.
