[Resolved] Indian Overseas Bank — Medical insurance through IOB bank | |||
This is refer to my mother Thankam C Medical insurance renewal, she is pensioner and senior citizen, banking with IOB bank, palakkad. My self (Manoj kumar Menon, son, on behalf of her, i had requested several time bank manager during renewal of medical insurance, requested should not be auto debit the payment from her account until we finalise the premium amount, unfortunately bank manager Mr.Gireesh dont handled our grievance properly, , finally HDFC ERGO got debited rs. 38700 (apprx) to her account Sept .2021 against 5 lack sum insured. I had requested him through phone call, messages (Sms), Whatsup and email, the amount should not be debited until we get a clear picture on premium amount or else i want to reduce the sum insured. Since IOB was sole agent, i cant approch HDFC ergo directly as well. Intially when we started medical insurance for her through appollo munich, it was around rs. 8000/- approx, then munich was taken over by HDFC Ergo, then premium was increased to rs.12500/- approximately. Last year 2021-22, insurance premium was surged to peak of RS. 38500/- (approx, )hence we request to bank not to auto debit, until unless we get a clear picture on premium. Unfortunately bank manager Mr.Gireesh didnt handly our request properly, finally the amount got debit to her account. Hence since August 2021, am requsting only sum insured against 3 lac premium should be debited to her account, and balance amount to be credited back to her account. Jun 1, 2022 Complaint marked as Resolved this medical insurance taken through IOB bank, palakkad, since IOB is sole agent, hdfc ergo is advised to communicate with IOB bank manager for all purpose, i have communicated several time with IOB manager, Mr.Gireesh palakkad branch # tel 7994556227 to resolve the issues, through mobile, email, whatsup etc.
He was promised many times nothing happened. Due to Manager carelessness only the autodebit is happened, requested to stop the auto debit since the premium amount was very much high considering last year, from 12 k to 39 k directly, hence requested several time bank manager to not to auto debit until the premium amount until the sum insured reduce to 3 lac and accordingly the premium can be charged.
Myself Manoj kumar menon, son of Thankam c, who is the IOB account holder, communication on behalf my mother Thankam C, she is a TNEB pensioner and sr.citizen, hence facing difficulty to communicate with the same with manager, please note that my mother Thankam C account, she is senior citizen,
