There seems some kind of incapable and or lazy staff(s) simply NOT doing the job here at the Singapore IOB branch.
My name is Deen from Singapore.
Here is a summary of my issues.
I have approached the IOB branch in Singapore last year in Aug 2022 for the closure of my NRE account which was dormant for a long time.
I have decided to close it since no use to me.
As such I have surrendered m IOB passbook, old checkbook and paid for the service to complete the task.
All the documents were accepted by bank staff.
All the black and white document are with me.
However, till now nothing is done, and that NRE account has NOT closed yet.
Fed up, Last month for the first time I called the local IOB Cecil street Singapore branch and spoke to the person (lady) in charge by the name o[censored]MA or UNA @[protected].
I have our recorded tele-conversation too.
She is too protective and evasive.
Bottom line is, that the IOB Indian branch claim that it neither receives any document from Singapore nor any instruction pertaining to the matter.
Is this how IOB bank operates?
Your employees (such staff) who seem just warming the chairs?
I have decided to put it on social media if it drags on.
Time to ACT now.
