Today, I booked tatkal ticket from https://www.irctc.co.in and after entering the payment details during first attempt, the site went down and the page expired. Then I went into my booking history and found that the ticket wasn't booked. After checking it twice after 2-3 minutes, I went ahead and booked another ticket and thought the earlier debit from my account would be refunded but then after some time, I saw two tatkal tickets for the same journey are appearing in my booking history. The PNR numbers of the two tickets are as mentioned below: [protected] [protected] I called to IRCTC customer care, requested to cancel / refund PNR [protected] and they refused to provide any help for this duplicate transaction due to IRCTC fault. I also mentioned that during tatkal hours IRCTC does not permit to book more than 1 tatkal ticket from same id than how can second ticket is booked. This is the complete case of harassment to consumer, your making consumer payable for system issue at your end. IRCTC is a government body and they should take responsibility of any such kind of issue due to their inefficiency. If government body is responding in this way than how can we expect good conduct from private sector. and this is the time our respected PM is requesting people of our country to do online transaction in cashless mode but this type of incidence is totally against his vision and mission. I request your help to take up with IRCTC to refund ticket charges of duplicate booked tatkal ticket, PNR [protected]. Was this information helpful? | |||||
