Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation [IRCTC] — Full Refund not given for complete train cancellation | |
The train number 02245 (Howrah-Yesvantpur) for July 30th 2021 had been fully cancelled. I had reached the station well before time and it was announced over the mic and I also got the information from the enquiry department . After some time, I got an SMS stating that the train was cancelled. I also called up 139 and they also told me that the train was fully cancelled. However, after calling the customer care number [protected] regarding the refund information, I was informed that I had missed the train and the amount will not be refunded ! PNR of my ticket is [protected] I sent a mail to [protected]@irctc.co.in and I received a ticket ID 9680964. I also lodged a complaint in the website https://railmadad.indianrailways.gov.in. The reference number is[protected]. The train cancellation details are not updated in the customer service's systems. Hence they are under the assumption that I missed the train. I have attached all the screenshots for your kind reference. Kindly look into it as I am supposed to get a full refund in case a train is fully cancelled from source to destination.
