Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation [IRCTC] — had to pay extra because of technical snag | |
On 15th, october while booking a tatkal ticket, payment had failed due to technical issue. After payment, when it came back to irctc app it said displayed an error message and was promoting to pay again. So i aborted the transaction and checked if the ticket was booked or not. The transaction was mentioned in failed transaction history. With a belief that my ticket hasn't been booked, i booked another ticket under tatkal scheme. After booking, when i checked back i saw two tickets booked for the same date and journey. Somehow the transaction that had failed, got confirmed. Since it was tatkal ticket, there was no chances of any refund. The customer care number was not reachable and when once i was able to connect in the evening, the executive excused that due to technical snags he can't help me. As a result, i have to call again later but call was never connected. Due to technical snag due to fault of the service provider in this case irctc, i had to waste money.
