Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation [IRCTC] — Missed the connecting train due to late arrival of the first train thus claiming refund of rail fare amount of the connecting train. | |||||
My name is Abhishek and i am working at IIM Indore. I was performing a journey from Hatia to Indore on 02/01/2016. Since there is no direct train for Indore therefore i had to make a break journey (i.e. from Hatia-Dhanbad-Indore). I started my journey on 02/01/2016 on Maurya Express (No.15027) bearing PNR No. [protected] from Hatia to Dhanbad. The train reached 40 minutes late at Dhanbad station due to which i missed the connecting train ie. Shipra Express (No. 22912) bearing PNR No. [protected] at Dhanbad station. I approached Station Master at Dhanbad station but she replied that since tickets has been booked by irctc therefore she is helpless. I want to claim the refund of rail fare of the missed train (i.e.Shipra Express) which is an amount of Rs. 7110/-. I even tried to claim TDR but the site was not allowing me to file TDR due to some reason which i cannot comprehend.
