Dear sir,
I wish to inform you about my experience o[censored]sing irctc site for rail ticket booking, using icici debit card and the loss of rs. 470 incurred by me.
I was booking rail ticket on site irctc using my debit card. I selected train, entered passenger details and proceeded to make payment using my debit card. After entering all the necessary details, i was taken to the screen as usual mentioning "do not click, refresh"etc.
After about a minute, irctc site gave the message in red about time out and suggested to wait for 15 minutes / try different mode of payment...in order to get confirmed bookings of ticket, i did not prefer to wait but booked the ticket using my citi bank visa credit card. The transaction was successful.
However, to my surprise, i received sms from icici that "you have made debit card purchases of rs. 470 on 23rd dec. Info. Min*irctc_paytm" needless to mention, rs 470 were deducted from my account and i am at loss...
Can i expect an early reply from you and settlement of matter.
It is very clear that icici has transferred this money to irctc as the same is debited to my account and ticket was not issued to me.
