Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation [IRCTC] — Non-refund of cancelled tickets booked through online | |||||
I am a registered user of IRCTC website and last year in the month of August I made several ticket bookings and subsequently cancelled some of them, but the refund was not taken place, whereas when I opened my IRCTC account it shows the refund was made. Nevertheless, I contacted the customer care of IRCTC and they asked me to send my credit card statement which I did promptly. Inspite of sending several times my credit card statements, every time they kept on asking for it. It went on like that and I sent more than 30-40 emails virtually begging them to pay my money. To my astonishement after sometime they stopped responding to my any of my mails. The IRCTC need to play almost Rs.7000/- as refund. I really don't know whom to contact and how to get justice in this case. Recently, I approached consumer court in Pondicherry, but they refused to take up my case by saying I have done online transaction hence it will not come under their jurisdiction. I am only writing this mail hoping that some where somebody will deliver justice to me. Thanks. I have with me all the correspondence that took place between me and the IRCTC customer care.
