I am 25 years female travelling to chennai by 12608 lalbaug express on 13th april 2017. While booking the ticket for the journey on the irctc site due to nework error the page kept refreshing due to which my gender option was changed to male which i noticed only after i received my e-ticket. On the day of my journey when the ticket checker asked me for the ticket i brought it to his notice about the error in the gender and provided an ID to support it. He started talking rudely saying that i had to pay 450 fine for the same as its a serious issue. I felt like i commited a crime. I tried talking to him politely but he was quite rude. My request to the department is no one purposefully makes a mistake but there should be some etiquette and mannerism to deal with suc instances. The attitude of staffs like this bring humiliation in front of other co- passengers. Really bad exprrience
